Oh I like the story I hate that the CEO of Bungie Pete Parsons thought it was a wonderful money making idea to start removing content and expansions that we the players paid for with our own money and not reimburse the 40-60 dollars per expansion we paid for and then make gear and weapons from the red war curse of Osiris warmind and now forsaken absolutely useless and not once give us our money back or even ask if we wanted that to happen. That miffed me so much I haven’t touched the game in nearly two years because of that
And now I can’t even play said og campaign or those expansions because of him and that decision

Definitely understand the frustration there, will say we want to keep this chat to just discussion of in-game stuff like story and lore, can leave meta conversations about the state of the game and stuff for the main Destiny channel 🙂

No season trailer yet, anyone got predictions as to where in the story we’re heading?

I would really like to see a Rasputin/warmind season again
I know we've technically had a few already,
Season 3 was literally called Warmind
and season 10 was season of the worthy, which was all about rasputin
But man it would be cool to see something a little more old-earth golden age tech
But it's also likely that we could see some stuff to setup Neomuna
Since this season will be kinda short in prep for Lightfall
new dungeon though, so that's a big deal

Rasputin would make the most sense, but I think maybe that's the end goal, the reactivation/reviving Rasputin and I think that maybe the theme will be centered around Ana and Elsie Bray instead

We haven't been back to Europa in a long time, so perhaps we'd be due for it

I was so scared when that shit happened in the lightfall trailer. Such a cool and truly unsettling threat. All the stuff involving the witness and guardians being absolutely sliced/diced/crunched up is horrifying
It's really a shame we didnt get more of it. Lightfall spent so much time on neomuna that all that creepy stuff with the witness in the intro just kinda... didnt matter

I guess I just remember the trailer having tons of epic music and hype, only to be
cut by silence, creepy vibes, and this scene of diced guardians.
It was truly unnerving and a great way to setup expectations that this enemy is the scariest thing we've faced...

I mean if we killed the witness right off the bat who would we go after next? Our understanding previously was the witness was the darkness.

not necessarily even fighting the witness, but just doing something more meaningful and playing into that fear that we are truly in the endgame of the story
like, the stakes never felt high or dangerous for anything we knew or cared about in Lightfall
Granted, the story of lightfall is a conversation for another time, but I guess the BBEG that was featured so heavily in all the promo material basically did nothing the whole time, and we as the player didnt get to face it at all
But seeing guardians get deleted with a swipe of the finger, and in such a creepy way, that sets the stakes high.
Anyways, I'm rambling, still super thrilled and excited to see where things go from here 😊

So uh little late on this but apparently The Witness is a whole ass civilization merged into one being chasing the Travelled just for revenge for leaving them…damn…talk about give a little, take a mile.

It's not really about revenge for it leaving. It was more about them trying to enforce their will over the Traveler, and that's why it left
