Great idea. I wish I thought to put this on my idea.

Not sure how you'd expect it to be represented in-game, one option could be a checkbox "silently" - default on, so if you click it off first it is no longer silently muting them
It needs to not be something you can spam either

When you have everyone on mute just let it show as a little crossed out ear icon by your name in their UI

Actually a better idea is to have the icon flash only when a player emotes or messages (for aesthetics) @gloomy drum
