yes pls!
I'd get lost in the config side but;
- settings config
- apply to ALL or (select maps)
There are some caveats that could break it, like the map with blizzards by default - the modes that don't support specific settings
So it'd need to either not work when trying to pick for that map/mode or show a warning that a specific setting cannot be applied due to mode/map specific exceptions
I think the idea would be that you use the existing interface to set up a game, but you can "save game template" and then it would have a library of existing maps with their templates that you've saved. So nothing could be wrongly applied because you'd be doing it the same way, just able to save it for later basically (and therefore remember certain configs that you really liked using)
Like the templates would basically be applied to a certain map.
I mean it could work a different way where it's more like different settings profiles, that could work too
Probably good if you can name the templates, tho it could also like like default name them based on the map/settings
Oooh, also you could have your default map template setup which is what would be applied when you go to create a game as a default. So it's kinda like how it saves your last used settings, except you can actually save those as your default template
CardModeMod1Mod2Mod3 could work
FixedCapitalsBlizzFogPortalstable
(most configs could be separated by that) but it gets messy if you need to account for placement type etc
Yeah, I mean ideally the templates could be flexible so that you can use the same template whether it's for world dom or capitals etc.... because well, what I'm imagining is it being associated with the map
Cos the current workflow is:
- Create game
- Select map
- Select type of game
This exists if you use sandbox mode
Oh that's cool to know, but that requires having sandbox and doesn't work for ranked games...
For now. Looking at the screenshots for battle cards, that may be changing
