I was thinking of making tatarstan and bashkortostan one territory and adding it as part of a bonus with kazakhstan

this would be the largest bonus on the map since kazakhstan is so huge (it will be broken into regions/states if they have "stan" in the name)

Another idea is to make one bonus out of the central stans and northern afghanistan

the rest of afghanistan becomes part of a different bonus with all the southeast territories

Cool idea in my opinion! Could be cool too either expand caucasus land to connect those lands or either making Baku connect by water to Kazakhstan or Turkmenistan!

I believe connecting to both would be a good idea

However as a joke I wanna mai tain the consistency of every territory and bonus ending in stan

Which gets harder the further away from iran you go

maybe make armenia,iran and iraq a "continent" and connect them to kazakhstan through a waterway and make kazakhstan split in 2+

Shoukd I merge lazistan with kurdistan, and lezgistan with dagestan?

I was also thinking of spliting kazakhstan based on the regions it actually has

I was thinking making the entire indian subcontinent its own thing

and merging punjabistan with khalistan

again this place is very politically tense

they probably wont like that at all lol

in fact me even calling is "khalistan" pisses off every indian

an kazakhstan should be same price as armenia nad that side cuz u only need 2 stacks

or maybe even cheaper

Yes, there are a lot ethnic borders. But it is not consistent, for example, the Tajik territory of Afghanistan is not unified with Tajikistan proper.

Has anyone made a map of mongolian empire yet?

If not we could work on it together after this map

Dont let territory count be too much of a limiter, anything < 150 territories is viable

Huge maps like Pangaea and Turkey are very good, try to take inspiration from them (bigger maps, less bonus focus)

The issue is that as you get into more local territories you start losing the "stan" suffix

Because the area no longer represents a full population of people

Good thing by coincidence I chose to split north afghanistan and put it in the same bonus as tajikistan

If you could provide some ethnic maps of the region since im not very well versed in it that would be cool

Maybe I could do an advanced version of this map that splits into more regions

This is my first map so I was basing it off of medium sized maps like classic, US, and Asia 1800s
