Every season I climb, I just end up taking ranked points from people who should've been at their ranks

Why have a rank reset at all? It is a flaw added on top of an already flawed rank system just making things worse. If the point is to have a new competition each season for “the top” there has got to be a way to measure that without reseting rank. Measure rank increase adjusted for differences at the start of each game and compare cumulative totals of adjusted rank gain for each player to determine positions of the seasonal leaderboard or determine the leader board some new way.

Ngl I do agree that seasons themselves are flawed. In the way you mentioned. But seasonal leaderboards will not work that way. I can gain 26k points novice to gm easily. But 26k to 50k is so so so much harder

Problem with a permanent leaderboard is Hasbro wants people playing every season
