@severe jewel How are you going to downvote this? You just said this is how you wanted it to be!
well i would say they should still be warned, you just never specified what you meant in the main description, because then no one will learn, there needs to be some sort of punishment system where instead of a ban, its like a timeout or something where you cant play anything but solo, ai and custom scenarios for a bit of time and it increases until you hit like 5 warnings or so then you get limited to certain games/areas for like a day to a week to a month then finally the ban
bro fr emotes aren't that bad
In my other risk idea where I talked about limiting them you said, "They should not be limited as that ruins the game". Now you completely backtracked on your statement. But you have that right I suppose so no worries.
ye but they shouldn't be able to be spammed constantly cause a game like that can make it not fun for others and things like that
I would agree. They need to have MUCH better reasons to perma-ban a player. 99% of the time people don't even know why they got banned. And no knowing how many emotes you can send will get you banned is very scammy if you ask me. Almost like they are just looking to make it vague so they can ban people for whatever reason.
Just mute them and move on.
If they are spamming and you don't like it mute them. If they are stalling after they won and you don't like it, surrender. They made it too easy to not be bothered by emotes or stalling.
yes they should either clarify wth emotes you can use or just let you use it
No need to even clarify it, they can just limit the amount of emotes you can use per turn if they wanted.
agreed
I don't understand why though when I proposed limiting it I got not a single upvote. And everyone was saying it should not be limited. Now that I did the "it should not be limited idea" everyone downvoted that too. lol
I raised the suggestion of limiting how often you can use communication features like emotes (like X/min & X/5s etc) - I'm voting neutral here because it'll be a non-issue, but it's a valid concern
Voted No because the bar for breaking fair play rules is creating a negative experience for other players. Emote spam contextually can create a negative experience for other players. Doesn't matter if a player has a tool/option to mute the spamming user.
Emote spam should remain an offense that can bring suspension and/or a ban.
If you ask me, having "emotional intelligence" is part of the game. And also breaking others spirit. In my mind it is not only fair play, but it is what the game is. This game has a large mental element and removing the psych outs removes half the game. That is just me though and that is why we vote.
Yes, if yall do that, which I would be happy with, yall can limit the use of emotes while ensuring players that they will never be banned for using them. I for one, thing predatory reporting is the biggest issue and either solution (either limiting their use or deciding to let people be people) is satisfactory.
Also, merely winning the game creates a bad experience for other players. If you ask me, they should mute the person that has gotten inside their mind if its so bad.
On a side note, 100% of players (Who voted) voted no for limiting the emotes as per my other risk idea I posted.
I'm guessing you have been suspended for Emote Spam? I just feel like you are salty about it.
If I have been suspended for that reason, I would not know.
You wanted a limit per turn - but players use emotes as reactionary items (surprise, shock, laughing, etc) - if someone is playing for 60s and they've sent 3 reactions, and you've got the same limit for a 5 minute turn, it's very restrictive.
A cooldown that's by time on the other hand kinda does what you mean, but it's gradual, and likely zero impact to 99% of players that don't emote spam
Yeah, you thought about it more than me, but your idea sounds like the solution if you are going to hold the view that they should be restricted at all. Though I also think if yall allow these risk ideas, yall should not just outright ignore them, since everyone voted against limiting them (in my interpretation). I think yall are trying to hard if you ask me. Yall just need to stop collaboraters and cheaters (people who edit troop numbers) Banning people for Stalling and emote spamming seems very predatory in my mind. Since they can surrender and mute. And if they aren't aware of those buttons, things can be done to make them aware.
Bro if people feel bad or get emotionally hurt from a bloody in game emote they should just mute their opponent, there is no other argument to this just mute
Right. Fully agree. If fact, when they go to report someone for using emotes, instead of actually reporting someone, it should just auto-mute that person instead of allowing this predatory banning.
