i dont like this idea cause sometimes unexpected things come up and you have to leave/do something else
Changing your main product after the majority of the playerbase buys it is a horrendous idea
ye
A "quitting timeout" would probably be better received, e.g. quit a game when >2 players left -> must wait 5-10mins to play another
tbh I don't think that's a good idea when there are rampant issues/bugs like disconnection/reconnection, the manual setup MIA thing that hasn't been globally adopted yet, and whatever new bugs get introduced in future updates. let alone stuff like getting trapped or cardblocked when there are multiple players left...
I also have to say like....
idk why so many people seem to be focused on punishing people who bot out, like it seems to keep coming up in risk ideas. I mean it's annoying but I don't think we need to be punishing people about it
there are worse things people do in risk, imo.
and often those things are the reasons why people end up botting out.
and also - 100% agree with @livid idol and @cursive eagle above about the original idea (but I expect a commenting timeout so I'm saying everything here...) like all that would do is make premium bad and not affect FTP players so it's not really a "solution"
Yep it's more on basis those bugs are eliminated - punishing connection issues != punishing quitting imo - shouldn't be both
ty!
interesting perspectives.. but that's why I suggested a coin bank... because things happen. If you start with 30 coins, that means you can still bot out up to 3 times before you have to wait.
If you're suffering disconnects that would deplete your coin bank, you have bigger things to worry about than playing a game.
IMO, it's not fair to punish other players because someone decide to quit.
but are people really being "punished" by bot outs happening? like it's a bot, you deal with it. sometimes they are absolutely obnoxious when they bot out after a long game with huge stacks, but otherwise, like... idk... to me it's like minor annoyance and sometimes even helpful, in caps at least
also as of 3.20.1 surrendering and bot out are VERY similar in terms of what players deal with, the only diff being potentially the placement at the end. are we gonna punish surrendering too?
