I see alot of downvotes but no reason as to why. I guess people like snowballing and unbalanced maps.

Its not unbalanced. It takes a lot of territories to get a bonus

I see people getting bonus on their first turn all the time on this map. Even I have.

And then they are unstoppable if no one can take it from them because the bonus troops are huge

perhaps the bonuses are a bit unbalanced for some of them. I mean, russia is only 6 plots but gives you +7. Thats alot and it can be done on your first turn. Thats 10 troops on your 2nd turn. Its not the same as the classic map.

2 turn later you turn in cards and suddenly you 15-20 troops to drp next to another player and its game over as you take another bonus. And if u knock that player out you get their cards, more troops and then you can knock out someone else right away as well. Its game over at that point, all in 4 turns you can own half the map. Ive done it a number of times. I think its unfair. The territory bonuses are too much. A -1 to each would balance it out better.

I get this for prog and fixed wd but for caps the bonus structure make it a very skillful game. It’s actually my favorite prog caps map. I have not played enough without caps lately. But I can see that being an issue and you mentioned. If there was a separate leaderboard for wd or leaderboards I think I might consider your thoughts more. Right now with caps being the way I would downvote but instead I am abstaining but took the time to think about it.

Sandbox is coming next month. You'll be able to experiment on maps you own and change the continent bonuses to whatever you'd like to explore. Or turn them off if that's your vibe.
