Should go without saying but this would also mean that if you and another player try attacking each other, whoever attacks first gets to be the attacker
If it is at the precise millisecond, both players have a dice roll to decide who is attacker (first player with higher number wins)

It'd need to be a post network overhaul type of idea but think it'd be really exciting/engaging to be on a tiny tiny area of a giant planet ๐Ÿ˜„
Since you'd have:

  • world map (effectively classic), but a globe/3d would be amazing
  • continents have their own countries
  • countries have their own regions
  • regions could have their own sections
  • cities could have their own sub sections too
So conquering a whole map would be quite a lot of territories regardless

Also you couldn't really ally players for long, until continent level

It gives the feeling of "fixed card classic stalemate" where you battle in the smaller regions inside it instead of just being stuck ๐Ÿ˜„

sharing only draft & fortify phases and attack phase being turn based seems better in my opinion though (not ideal for 1000 players but could work with ~12)
sharing all the phases could be fine for some sort of team gamemodes (not really 2v2/3v3, but maybe some larger team games or even new gamemodes where sharing your turn with teammates would be balanced)

Could maybe have a max number of attacks for it rooThink so it's a bit more balanced but can still progress

Idk what territorial.io is rooThink

I think the concept like in warzone.com would be cool, where everyone sets his commands at the same time, and depending of how you have ordered them and what the exact settings of the lobby are, the commands are executed differently. This would allow the same speed for any amount of players and its faster in general, even hundreds of players can play simultaneously on that game on huge maps, and its similar to risk. Territorial.io is my favorite io game aswell, especially if that dev of it wouldnt be so weird with his updates and the lack of communication.
