New update = More problems
When you press on a territory to choose a capital but press escape instead of cancel❌ , the visual glitch happens.
And the reason the bots have extra caps is because it will also be translated to the next game.
Of course, all of this is a visual glitch and no player gets extra troops.
The cap leaderboard also shows 6 caps as its win con(the cap that were placed by the players at the start of the game)
Other players can't see the caps with the visual glitch. They only see the cap I chose (confirmed with a Yes
)
Is the update PC-only? I’m not seeing the update button on mobile
Still Not finding 3.18 on mobile.
With matches scheduled today for 2 tournaments I’m participating in this release is unfortunate timing for me. Rescheduling matches last minute even if possible (which might not even be possible with my schedule later this week) is not good for the tournament and will leave empty slots having negative impact on other players experience too.
I would otherwise be looking forward to exploring the new features after updating, but if I end up having to withdraw from two tournaments due to the delay between PC and mobile and then even later iOS rollout I might not still be around as a player to explore the update. Hopefully my plan to turn myself into a PC player 2 hours before a tournament game works out.

Ah, so you can’t play the scheduled tournament matches, because online doesn’t work between those who have updated and those who haven’t?
Yes. Correct the tournaments posted messages alerting participants to the issue. Suggesting that if they still can’t update 2 hours before game time to move their game.
This is fixed in v3.18.1 (WIP)
v3.18.1 has been sent for approval to both iOS & Android (should be available on Steam I think?)
It'll still not be a forced update quite yet but should be either Friday or Monday AU time
When is the update coming to the PST time zone?
I really like that wilds are no longer force traded when you have a regular set in progressive, but it seems the logic doesn't work if you have both wilds. The new auto-trade logic should definitely not trade both wilds on 4 cards, like, ever (unless both non-wilds are the same and you're playing fixed)
Any particular reason why updates cannot roll out at the same time for all platforms?
Why is update on steam not delayed until approved on both IOS and android?
In general it does not seem like a good strategy to release some pretty major new content, but only some of the playbase has access to it when there is initial hype.
It primarily allows for fixing any critical issues like crashes that were not identified during testing
Kinda like having a public test version before releasing a stable public version
And ignoring cross-playform interaction for a week 😦

Too late for my games sadly. Extremely embarrassing to have to play tournament games today on a format I’ve never used before. The mental effort to try to simulate reasonable realistic moves that “I would make” when I actually physically could not make any of the moves I wanted to make was excruciating. I stayed in to try to save the group from a bot but I should have just withdrawn from the assassins tournament and maybe from all tournaments.
Is it possible to snipe a spot in a different group? That sucks DPR :/

As it's straight to v3.18.1 it may just need an extra day unfortunately 😅
I'm thankful all my tournament games have been scheduled at a time I can use PC, at least. It was sad to not be able to join PWF last night, though :/ (I have an unhealthy obsession with Risk lol)

have map packs that only have 4 maps always been 595 gems? Or did inflation hit Risk too? 
Is 3.18 without dynamic turn timer as an option a temporary thing while it’s still in beta or is that just something temporary on iOS? I played a long casual game on iOS 3.18 and it seemed stable and fine. Just happened to notice that the “option” for dynamic turn timer was locked at normal for now.
I’m leaving on a trip in a few hours and want to judge the level of confidence that some version of 3.18 while remain stable on iOS for tournament play through out the next week… if so I can travel with a lot less computer equipment. Not that I want to continue to learn to play PC during tournament games but I guess I will if I have to. Thanks!
Oh I figured it out… dynamic option is not available in casual public. Same on iOS and PC. Only casual private.
The shorter turn timer I think is available in casual public & private but not in ranked

Feedback:
Positives
- Beautiful design and theme for new maps
- Faster timer options have been requested for a long time, so are a great addition
- I’m happy to see dynamic timer as an option, rather than enforced on everything
Bugs
- 2nd cap glitch after cap confirmation
- No cross-platform for a few days, disrupting tournaments
- In Secret assassins 1v1, sometimes assigned new target when opponent quits (happend in 1 of 3 games we tested).
- Some territory name errors
- Trade on 3 with any cards in prog glitch
- Glitch where after a game, when you go to make another game, your game mode selection has changed from what it was last game, and turn timer has reset to default, even if you chose dynamic.
Any news on hot fix for bugged card trades?
Battle of Svolder Map.
I won a Capitals game, conquering all territories and capitals, but the game wouldn’t end. It just kept going to Drafting. I had to forfeit to get out of the game.

Secret assassins mode seems to work as intended for ffa play. Played against 3 human opponents and 2 bots in casual play. I killed players that were not my target without a problem and the game continued with no glitches.
I thought at least which cards to trade were fixed, but its not. Still suggesting to use wildcard when I dont need to:
This suggestion from SMG is backed by third level AI deep strategy analysis. Placing 2 extra zombies on UGen or Loading Zone on this turn would result in a 15.6% increase in your chance of death to zombies on a turn 15-18 turns in the future. Trust the devs!
