For unranked this could work, but for rank it still allows exploit

teaming

id like the idea of a separate mode just for people who want to play with friends then that way there could be like 2 or 3 teams of 2 in a game

I can't believe youre not allowed to play ranked with friends

it discourages have a list of cool ppl

and ignores the fact that ppl are colluding anyway

# indigo knot could you elaborate? how would it be used to exploit?

To grind rank points. Methods could include:

2 friend accounts in a lobby, allowing 1 stranger at a time, and gamging up, to squeeze points out of strangers. If you wait long enough, some people will ready up for this.

Using burner accounts as friends, and making them lose, to feed wins to yourself.

Playing with friends or teammates doesn’t fit the dynamic of ranked FFA, but a team game mode would be great to see

i've tried that before, doesn't work sadly, people don't care
I get the idea of "playing with friends allows for colluding" but everyone knows how to play around it and i havent seen much in the way of actually punishing those people - i feel like i have been punished more for weird reasons (like for stalling once, got a 1 day suspension) when i never stalled on purpose, the automatic punishments are weird and they do not detect collusion in ranked games at all

i've also found plenty of novice smurf accounts in my rank1 1v1 grind sessions that essentially just make you lose a ton of points because you have none, i dont know who makes these accounts but surely there could be some IP punishment.
I havent played in like 4 months and I had a friend request from a guy whose account was clearly made to play against high rated players and smurf on them and then lose on purpose to someone else - even simple things like having a public match log would allow for more monitoring of situations like these and would probably help in moderating these situations
