It is just part of the game 😅 Alliances don't mean shit if I'm being honest, all I see it as is a means of communication. If I need to betray you in order to progress the game, I will. I'd be in an alliance with everyone that game, not just you. I'd have to betray someone. This person did what the needed to 🤷 Might seem scummy but get used to it, it happens a lot in high-level play
I can understand why people think it's bad and I guess morally it is but if it's the right move, do it. I don't get why you reported them tho 😅
🤷♀️ Just what I think
It's every man for himself in the end
I'm curious what the report was for? "Harassment"?
There's no rule that forbids you to attack your ally. Alliance in-game are more a nice tool for communication, than they are an actual promise of mutual trust.
I agree to an extent. It would have been ok of they would have given me a warning or whatever. It’s why I don’t normally accept alliances. Sometimes I do forfeit if my ally is better off than me and I realize I’m not gonna win.
I think I put it under collaboration because none of the options seemed fitting.
A warning would make the move significantly worse 😅 If you knew that you were gonna get betrayed, you'd just betray them first
Well they did warn me a few times they were gonna attack my territory to better them, but didn’t say anything when they took me out.
I’m not a sore loser. If I lose then oh well. I’m just on casual mode tonight. I just find it to be cheeky to pull a stunt like that.
Perhaps it's important to remember, that Risk is a game of war, not of friendship. You're not going to make trustworthy friends in a single game. There is no option for a shared win. So a good player would always have in mind what's best for themselves at the very top.
Showing one of your opponents good will might be a good play temporarily, but you have to remember, that once that trust is not beneficial anymore, there is nothing that stops them from breaking it.
