I think it might have worked when you could have multiple active sessions (logged in on 5 devices at once) - but it's not good for servers, can result in corrupted or lost data (just for your own data) - and could also be abused to do silly things like joining lobbies with yourself

I think about this suggestion like Discord in a way. Most of the time I’m on my computer. But sometimes I need to head out. If I’m on a call I can just join on my phone. It knows to not let both devices into the same call but it lets me choose what device I’d like to be in the call on. This would be fantastic for Risk since games can last hours and joining a game for an unknown amount of time without being able to move around can be tough

Thats how I imagined it. only one device at a time, but being able to continue on any device just like how you can rejoin a match if you lost connection or closed the game and opened it again.
