In addition to what's above, a major outbreak like this usually only happens once per game, as the total number of zombies skyrockets when an outbreak occurs, and the number of player-troops on the boards decreases significantly, so the zombies almost always regain the majority. This means that in all likelihood, only one player will suffer from this in any given game, leaving them with no way to catch up to the other players
To the people that voted neutral/no, I'd love to hear your thoughts as to why the current system makes sense. Is there something I'm missing? Because I really don't see how the way it is now can be interpreted as anything other than an RNG based instant loss
Getting infected sucks since it’s somewhat RNG (but also somewhat predictable based on what you said above). If you know that there might be an infection, then you should also know that the zombies are going to be in their “ doubling” phase, meaning you should place your troops accordingly and prepare for this. That is why I don’t see any issue with how zombies currently work
There is no way to place your troops accordingly, because if one of your stacks gets infected and then doubles+, your other stacks are at risk
