I agree. I have suggested this as well, I think.
I like the pseudo blizzards 😄 maybe for my specific configuration
when you have the stupid bot adding everywhere preventing you from taking a bonus all because whoever that is failed to ready up:
It'd maybe make more sense for;
Inactivity type and bot type to be separated out - so that these settings can be used however but are now unique for users that quit vs bots
my idea prevents scumbag bot out and also prevents pseudo blizzards
fail to ready up is also in a weird kinda middle ground (they're kinda like added bots but they went mia immediately)
Hmm
Yeah I'm not sure for this one, I think ideal solution is addressing the ready up being in lobby so this in between scenario just can't happen
Inactivity Autopilot and Bot Behaviour should be different settings.
How the game deals with players that fail to ready up also needs to improved.
Yeah I definitely agree this area of app needs improvement - I'm not sure on the best route for that, separate settings does give more control - but it also makes it a bit more confusing for newer players (so it may be worth having a "this is the best way" to be the "default" selection as well)
I honestly don’t think this area really needs any changing if the ready up system changed. The problem isn’t really the bots, it’s the fact that the game fires with players that aren’t ready
then the game should kick whoever doesnt ready up and go back to the lobby page with everyone else
I like my idea. We have "two" types of ai. Bots and Autopilots. One starts out as AI and operates on Bot Behaviour. The other operates on behalf of a player in a defined Inactivity Mode.
What would be cool is once a player has gone MIA an Autopilot would become a Bot and adopt the Bot Behaviour. Even cooler would be a way to specify the Bot Behaviour Personality for each bot in the lobby.
If we maintain different terminology for the two modes I feel like this could be explained to newer players.
I’m confused on how that would solve the current problem this idea is addressing. Players who don’t ready up would still form
Blizzards if the mode was selected to inactive
Nah. The ready up should just be in the lobby. You join a lobby and have to click ready or not. Once everyone readies up the game fires.
TBH the ideal system is one without lobbies. It’s all automatch. That would take away the host advantage
