I'm not sure I agree on the specific set-up suggested, but I like the idea of something like;
- $5 subscription/month or $50/year
- premium is active during subscription, and is permanently kept after it ends
- pick a map pack and X cosmetics to keep permanently
each month^*
Solely replicating play pass (but available across other platforms too) isn't really adding value imo
Whereas adding something that removes the "I'm tempted to buy gems", but instead can pick things to permanently keep each month - would probably fit better to SMG / RISK design. It means >cost of premium (and costing less initially) but means more value added to spending in RISK (getting items that'd cost more than the subscription, that otherwise a player may have zero interest in spending gems on for)
