Why though. It is waste your every one time

Ready up should be in lobby, with the game only beginning once everyone is ready.

Bots just aren’t the same as human players.

The fact that if someone doesnt ready up you are forced to play with a bot that could make a match very rng based on the settings is very unfair to the players

#

for example if you have neutral bot to stop scumbag bot out you suddenly get blizzards on every bot territory

# patent gazelle Ready up should be in lobby, with the game only beginning once everyone is ready...

Shared ready screen (the lobby). The host fires the game and the countdown begins. Everyone in the lobby who hits ready would be obvious with the button changing color. If everyone is ready then when the timer runs out then the game fires.
If someone misses ready then the timer would run out and everyone would still be in the lobby. It would be up to the host to kick the not ready player if they wished or give them another chance by immediately firing the game again. A “Sorry” emote would be really helpful there if you just looked away for a moment.

I think this is the superior solution since it allows for some flexibility and the point here is not to exclude players who miss a button, but to prevent games firing with unwanted starter bots. >>Remember how often someone misses the ready button in tournament lobbies, we don’t want those games to start AND we don’t want a system that automatically kicks a player. That would be very inconvenient in those cases. <<

I know some think the ability to kick players at all in ranked is not good but for this purpose assume I mean that it would only be allowed if they didn’t ready.

I think there also ought to be the option to report bogus lobbies from within the lobby or for the other players to kick the host and take over the lobby if the host never fire the game (I reported once on the discord the play by play of a lobby that persisted for hours filling up over and over again but never firing. I don’t know if it was a troll or just an accident, but it sucked.)

☝️If I’m close to expressing this correctly at all maybe I’ll put this up as a separate idea. I’ve always been a lobby return system advocate, but suddenly saw it differently just now and wanted to write it out.
