It's okay, just in general this sort of thing at best SMG can just suggest it back to the mod team / staff team anyway

The art-based events have been declining a fair bit lately (like the map design one, had like 10 entries or less) - so activity wise it's difficult to maintain vs tournaments, as it's a lot of work for any of these events and the goal of them are to engage players

I can look into it. The main challenge is accessibility, since most Risk players aren’t artists.

With Map Design Competition and Risk Meme Competition, we had 100+ entries, 400+ votes, since it engaged the non-artist masses, whereas the Risk Art Competition was 9 entries 200 votes, since it fell more into an artist niche.

A few years back Kali ran a competition to design an emote that was closed after only getting 2 entries.

I was thinking that text based descriptions of emotes could work too (obviously doesn't really work with maps) and leave the art to the artists.

Something like, "the risk heart emoji from the discord but beating like the animation for the bot love emote in game".

Yeah, that could be a good way to make it more accessible to the average player. I think a lot of Risk players are creative and do have great ideas, but just don’t know how to beautifully paint them onto the page

Would be amazing if they included the winning emote in the game too

We have precedent with the rotating discord sayings (everyone loves go ham, bots hate me, cards hate me, and sorry, misclick) so it could be like a set of rotating premium only emotes but not require gems.

Or it could turn into a second general dab level emote and get major fomo value, who knows.
