3 and 4 make the most sense as modifiers. Why do we need to keep adding different modifiers to the game? Why can't we just simplify it and make 1 or 2 the default for all games, not just ranked?

I would really like for SMG to listen to the community, and make real changes to the game instead of just adding content.

3 and 4 are already in the game, but they are linked to the inactivity behavior.

I was thinking 3 and 4 made sense, as they would be an override to how it works now:

  • Automated: Failure to ready players are replaced with automatic bots.

  • Neutral: Failure to ready players are replaced with neutral bots.

Your suggestion I assumed implied that you could swap this up. Automated with Neutral and vice versa.

Yes that is the idea behind is. If they don't move the ready button up, I would like to see different ways to handle the ready up process.
#1 is for people that hate bots, but don't want to wait again for more people
#2 is for people that actually want to play the game they match up for
#3 is for people that hate to wait for more people, but don't want a smaller lobby
#4 is for people that hate to wait for more people and don't care about bots

I voted neutral. The ready up process does need to be improved. I don't think flooding the game with 4 different modifiers is the right solution. I do agree with an override for inactivity behaviour. I would like the ability to set players to neutral but have bots start the game in automatic.

For 1 and 2, I would really like to see the community just come to a consensus on which one is the better default. Personally I don't see what is wrong with One. If players really want to play with more bots, Solo play is always an option.

All four types of players that Hokaras describes exist. Plus, there are those that do not care at all.  I’m all for having options.  Players that do have a preference could easily filter lobbies for the ready up option that they prefer.
