I have observed multiple comments about individuals not being able to find scenarios or unsuccessfully trying to qualify for ranked play by completing scenarios. Creating a separate scenario game type/icon should resolve both issues.

I believe the requirement is to play a number of single player games to qualify for Ranked Play. Do scenarios qualify as single player games?

As far as not being able to find scenarios, it does appear to me that bought maps currently go before scenarios. Even though this shouldn't be a problem for newer players (those who haven't bought any maps), maybe having scenarios show up before bought maps could be a solution.

No. Scenarios do not count towards the single player game requirement to unlock ranked play. This issue came up on the boards this week.

After looking at this more closely it appears that the map order is:

Free map
Map of the week
Premium maps
Purchased maps
Gifted maps (e.g. Arkeanos)
Scenarios
Unpurchased maps
 
Another thing that I think adds to the confusion is that the maps are not alphabetized.  For example, the scenario maps are listed as:  Raid the City; Crush Rome! One vs All, All vs One, and Final Stand.

There are a lot of maps. I think maybe the UI needs to be updated to organize maps by map pack when you scroll/swipe up or down, while further selecting the specific map a player would swipe/scroll left or right. Scenarios would just be like another map pack, exclusive to Solo play.
