Let me know if there's an issue with plagiarism. I've made significant changes to the underlying image but the inspiration is obvious. I pulled this from the Library of Congress so I believe it's in the public domain.
There are 76 Territories and I'm still unsure on the bonuses.
My suggested bonuses:
Peach +6
Black +4
Sky Blue + 6
Purple +5
Green +8
Brown +6
Blue +6
Red +8
Other possible edits: territory 26-28 could be separated to act as the 'Australia' of this map.
Territory 1 could connect to 76 instead of 72.
Territory 32 and 33 could be reassigned (Possibly to the red or green bonuses) so that Blue might be more defensible.
I would say tone down all the bonuses -2 because the map isn't that big
I looked at the Europe advanced map and it has 84 territories, 11 continents and a combined bonus total of 63 across all continents. Spaceport Sigma has 96 territories, 10 continents and a combined bonus total of 68. This map has 76 territories, 8 continents and a combined bonus total of 49. I hope that it might play in a similar way to those two and I think the bonuses are fairly balanced as they are right now. Having done a bit of comparison looking at territory to bonus ratios I had considered that this map might need even more troops.
Could you tell me a little bit more about your thoughts? Advanced Europe and Spaceport Sigma are what I had in mind when considering the bonuses so they could be outliers biasing my decision.
Sorry didn't notice your reply. Not too familiar with Spaceport Sigma, however Advanced Europe has some large bonuses such as Russia but most of the bonuses you receive come from multiple continents such as by controlling all of UK or small continents. Looking at the map again, I think your suggested bonuses may be alright for funny chaotic games and because of the lack of choke points meaning that players will not get a massive advantage in the first few rounds.
That's my bad, I didn't reply to you before. Yeah, not so many choke points on this map. I think there's some improvement to be had with the split between red and blue (as I suggested in an above post) but still enough room in the map for interesting games. Thanks for the thoughtful feedback
