Client-side colours would also be better for letting a player consistently play as their favourite colour in online games, and save arguments over who can be purple etc.

Yeah so the end result would be:

  • pick player colour palette
  • select from the palette one colour you want
  • other players given random colours from the palette

So for example Red might not be available in the Cold palette - but you'd still have blue in it
Maybe different shades too, but means you have a very customised feel in games. I'd honestly love metallic / chromatic colours in RISK - and imagine glow in the dark territories!
So in fog of war your territories glow and you see a duller glow for opponent territories that border fog - and brighter if no fog borders it

What would dynamic be?

And also at least on android u could have a theme where the game automatically picks the material you color you have on android

I'm not artistically inclined whatsoever so I googled "colour palette names" and came across this, used as an example.

They're mostly just example ideas, I'm sure there're better ways to approach what colour palettes to use (and the names for them) - my personal suggestions ran out after neon 😄

I'd love to see ice themed for winter based map pack, maybe some "dirty" colours like the zombie green territory colours for the zombie map pack? Sci fi can be more futuristic, same for space battle.

I'd love there to be 1 tied to each map pack - and you can select the colour palette when in the lobby - maybe option to use map pack palettes when playing on them - have 1 or 2 premium ones - and if there're any super cool ones (like neon or a glow in the dark one or animated ones) - these can be separate purchasable items.
