Ok. I have thought about it more. I am pretty sure the game automatically selects the trade set with the highest trade in value (fixed). Am I correct? Does this carry over in progressive games, where this value is irrelevant?
I know for fixed that the wild isn't used if the same trade value can be created without it. It may also have something to do with card order.
Now, my understanding is you would like for the wild to be removed from the auto-select if a trade is available without it, in progressive cards?
yes, it is the case that the game selects the trade that gives the highest value even if it uses wild cards. this does carry over to prog too.
for your last sentence, yes
for example you have 2 dudes 2 cavalry and a wild. the game would automatically pick the 10 trade for you using the wild. however if you have one of each and a wild, the game does not pick the wild for you. also, if you have 4 dudes and a wild, the game would not pick the wild.
I quite like that manually selecting your trade can improve your hand sometimes. Adds an extra little skill element, making the game less about luck.
wait @open oracle did i phrase it wrongly
i meant when they AUTOMATICALLY put cards in the slots.
Honestly less bothered by this and more bothered by cards autoplaced in slots (and can't be removed) when it is someone else's draft phase
Doesn't happen in attack or fortify phases
It's like draft phase = auto place set in slot if possible
I like that the game doesn’t choose to the best cards for the player, so the player uses their own skill to choose the best cards to trade in
fair, in the case of 3 of a kind vs one of each in progressive
