I think this idea really needed to be suggested as a "blizzard option" like semi-auto placement as a placement type, as a replacmeent of what may fall under a beloved game setting - changing how it works is likely to get a lot of resistance

to be honest it would make blizzards have 0 impact. it would be much better ifgthere was an option for blizzards to slowly switch places (allowing things like frozen stacks if you dont move them).
