@split bluff based on your #1020346802236555365 comment btw 🙂
I think it's a good idea to give more data to the dev team to work with. But if you ask the average player about changes to the game, you must hide the poll results. Otherwise they instantly expect said change to take place soon.
I didn't want to mention if it was visible or not in case it'd influence voting 😄

I definitely think that in-game voting will provide better input as to how the broader community feels about an idea. I would also consider offering a small gem reward (perhaps 2 gems), to encourage voting.
answer the daily poll to get your daily gems
👍
Then people just click randomly to get over it. Not a great idea.
I mean maybe. If you offer any reward at all you get that problem. If you offer no reward you get the problem there currently is where there's 30 people who vote on them and the other 99.999% of the player base ignores them. I feel like you could pretty easily get past the randomly clicking by having a mandatory 10 second period before you can submit your answer or something similar
In RISK-Ideas, you pretty much get the same few dozen people voting. I doubt that this group is very representative of the larger player base. I think if you keep in-game polls short, and focused on a single concept, most will take them seriously.
I believe most is the wrong word there. A few others would take them seriously. Most of the players who care enough are here voting I'd wager. Sure you will get a few more dedicated voters on the actual app, but if you offer no reward Id bet that 95% of the voters on there would be newbies stumbling across it. Not saying that's necessarily a bad thing but a player with less than 100 games probably doesn't even know what the real issues in the game are. At least with this system you know that the voters have no incentive but to make their own experience better and you know if their opinion is any good. Theres 113,000 members of this discord. Its not like the opportunity to vote isnt here. People just don't care enough one way or the other to vote
By most, I mean most who take the time to vote. Both with Discord and in-game polls, you are only going to get a small percentage of people to vote. However, 1% of 1.5 million game payers is a better representation than 1% of 115 thousand Discord users.
1.5 million players… wow…. and most of them smashed into me today
I know the feeling. Probably in round one, giving you sixth place and a major skill point drop.
