Further, im not opposed to how far this can go. US states? Cool. Canadian States? Cool. Movement flags? Cool. Maybe an option where if you pick Nations such as The UK, and it takes you to another selection, where you can pick the UK as a whole, or the constituent nations of the UK. Same with any other nation which it applies.

Movement flags is… well.. probably not a good idea either.

I understand it all gets a bit finnicky after a while, but at least for the UK. Most people from Texas would call themselves American, most people from Scotland would call themselves Scottish, and reject being British.

Yeah. On that front I 100% agree. Literal nations should have their own flags available. My family is from 🇮🇪, and I can imagine some northerners wouldn’t be too happy flying that flag lol

Some territories already have their own flags in Risk such as Åland which is part of Finland which speaks Swedish

Yeah as I mentioned in #1020346802236555365 our current flags are pulled from ISO-3166 - so there's some that are contested, some that are not widely accepted, and so on - which then are excluded from their flag lists.
Rather than what I suggested as 'Countries' we could name that 'ISO-3166' (or add a tooltip to say 'source: link here)
I still think though that having more countries added to the list will make it more of a pain to navigate/scroll - so separate categories you can switch between might be more user friendly

When selecting you could divide it between continents (obviously antartica is just selecting that flag) and then after selecting the contintinent you pick the nation.
Further, Adding 4 more flags wouldnt clutter it up any further than the huge list of existing countries do. Your games flags dont have to follow international standards for countries as its not like where you choose to represent is legally binding, nor is risk any form of legal identification lol

I'm Scottish so I completely understand and empathize fyi 😄 - I still think separating ISO and non-listed ISO would be good, as it allows for a better mix of customisation (e.g. different types of flags from country flags as well)
