This idea was originally posted by @Pete (Kill Pete Strategy) in the Risk-Rank-Channel on September 5th.  It has been moved to this channel for voting.  If the concept receives broad support additional input can be collected to help implement the idea.

Background:  The current leaderboard system makes it difficult for individuals to advance playing the original game of classic RISK world domination.  Most individuals at the top of the leaderboard host capital conquest games that use premium maps and settings that many do not have regular access to.  Having classic RISK world domination leaderboard(s), limited to free content, provides a path where all players have an equal opportunity to become skilled in the settings.  This eliminates pay-to-win concerns and provides a level playing field that more accurately measures skills for the majority of players.  This would also be more consistent with other Elo based rank systems such as Chess.com that has separate leaderboards for separate game types (e.g Blitz, Bullet, Rapid, Daily, Puzzle Rush, etc).

I don't think we need more leaderboards, we just need a better leaderboard from a better ranking system

I don't think mulitple leaderboards will work with how small the playerbase currently is, I feel like we need a bigger playerbase for that
