Cheating gone crazy!

I'm tired of these low life cheaters this has gone beyond all limits, it has destroyed the entire game. Risk is making millions of dollars from us and they don't do nothing about these cheaters or update the game to make it harder for them to create new cheats. First round guy gets 50 troops second round 130troops seriously they use to cheat by adding 1-5 troops extra now there is no limits. I demand a full refund from risk for all the money I invested in this game. I'm unable to post all the printscreens so that you all can see this but I'm going to create post online and spread this all over Internet so people don't waste time and money on this game.

I was general Mander and some numbers lol, I think asking for all your money back is a bit of an over reaction, there is no way that gets past cheat detection as long as people are reporting. It was a funny game and I will be keeping my eye out to see if there is an increase of cheaters.

Yeah report in-game for these, they get caught quickly with automated systems & perm banned by an administrator after review.

Currently there's some false-positives with detection (usually map specific) which makes it difficult to fully automate / block players doing this immediately (it'd happen incorrectly all the time!)

With our networking overhaul later this year we'll have the infrastructure for secure validation, action by action - which will make anyone adding troops be able to be banned/removed automatically.

Name of this ugly 🐖 cheater was Lon The Loyal , I reported many people but you never do anything you just auto reply that they did not commit the same action again, yet they keep on cheating and are allowed to play the game.

If you look at the stats for this game hardly any one plays it anymore they won't get on top of the cheating they won't fix the rolls everything is broken, totally broken

I can confirm the same It's a complete piss take, can't play anymore ..I normally play 4 or 5 player. Every second game now ends up 2 vs 1 blatantly cheating leaving each others territories exposed to each other... Its sad tbh and.. I've levelled up quite a bit in the last few months but cannot get a win now.. Punishment should be fingers politely curb stomped

Because each player is playing dozens or even hundreds of opponents, and those people are then playing a lot of opponents, and those people are playing a lot of opponents, the best strategies are spreading a lot faster in online Risk, than they were in the board-game, or old singleplayer digital variants

Another cheater again, 🤬 and the last cheater is still active and allowed to play and cheat which is unbelivable. Got a message back from Risk that they caught and just warned him.ARE YOU F...NG KIDING ME? You guys clearly don't care about real players our money or time we spend on this game. So to you I say you can have your game I will leave negative reviews not spend any more money or time on this game and warn people about it. You clearly don't want to ban and remove these cheaters. You giving them multiple chances to cheat and waste our time. Go f..k yourself Risk

Agree with all the posters and the frustration with the cheaters. One can’t help but think the Risk admins/developers know who is cheating and just allow it. The bot message that says the cheater didn’t repeat the behaviour is ludicrous…. The most ridiculous cheats are when the cheater wins every single battle, by ridiculous margins, even when they are vastly outnumbered. Mathematically impossible, but yet the cheaters know that they will win every battle and so they’ll attack your 50 troops with their 10 and win. Then you try to attack their 8 troops with your 50 and…poof… you lose hahaha!

@ionic lake I’m a mobile player. What support should I share with devs to best catch cheaters? I played in FOG mode I can’t create a ticket for a player after I’ve lost.

Curious to the experience out there. I’ve had back to back days with a prog game (USA and World Map). I’ve taken down the 3rd player and am in a 1v1 with speed and Cards advantage. 100% going to win unless dice gods hate me…. And as I attack up the eastern seaboard I am disconnected from the game. I cannot reconnect: I’m using cellular data so I don’t think my connection failed. Is it possible for someone in-game to hack and force a disconnection of another player from the same game?

I say this because the 3 & 4th place finishers were likely teaming or the same person. And I took both of them out. But then I start to take out the final player and I permanently disconnect.

@sudden laurel yes, there are hacks and cheaters galore. There is no genuine recourse, you just have to accept that it’s apparently allowed, and so we either live with it or find something else to do with our time.

That’s incorrect. Hackers and cheaters get banned from Risk all the time. The main reason we still see them is that it takes time for them to get banned, and there’s constantly new ones arriving

They've made it clear that it's impossible for another player to force you to disconnect, meanwhile admitting the system as a whole is overwhelmed with connection issues and that's the part they are currently rebuilding.

I'm saying it can often "appear" as though people are teaming up on you because they don't break each other's bonuses but the meta is slowly changing and smart players don't often break bonuses unless necessary or until it guarantees the win. A player who does "board police" and prevents people from getting bonuses can be seen as overly-aggressive and the other players will want them removed as soon as possible... Maybe you're THAT player?

The game flat sucks online. Cards rolls everything
