I like the idea to be able to see it, but I can't think of a way to display it in a way that a average player would not be confused by it.
I have seen enough players that did not know what the slider is for example, and there is even a button next to it that explains it.
How bout “if you do this you could lose up to (number) of troops”
The problem is where do you fit it on screen. And if you play true random there would always be you could lose your whole stack. In BB anything below 100% is the same, and if you go above 100% there can be weird things like losing 6 against a 1.
How about as an instruction system that can be toggled off. If on it just puts occasional extra info on screen to help noobs not make I’ll advised cap hits etc. But yea obviously no point in true random… except maybe a message at the beginning “welcome to true random: you could lose your whole stack on any roll, enjoy!”
TR would need a different measure, for it to be useful
And the biggest problem would be that you need the odds for certain rolls before you deploy your troops. For example someone has a 4 cap and you get 6 troops. Then you add those troops and see 7v4 is pretty bad and you wasted your turn.
Sure but better a noob places troops poorly than actually trying the hit, that ruins their game and the game in general.
