It's not the rank
It's skill points/ELO
I think that hitting GM in this game is easy is BC novice to GM is only 250 ELO difference
In chess GMs are 2600+ while novices are around 100-600
You need 2.6M skill points
True ELO instead of starting at 990 starts at 0 so the true Elo of a new gm is 260 while Xerokees true elo is 780
Because of how elo works xerokee should only play against very low elo players but as you can not see rank anymore this method of grinding does not work nearly as well
I don't think Xerokee has over a 95% win chance over your new gm
But Xerokee has over a 98% win chance over novices who just installed so that's how he gains rank

Even if you don’t filter players, most who join online games are nooby enough to win consistently if you’re a top player on the right settings.
The skill-gap in 1v1 between average players or even low-level GMs and top level players is insane
