Dynamic time banks. Reduce the starting time bank dramatically (to say 30 seconds) and then add on a small amount for every action taken (say add 3 seconds every action). This stops players stalling, but also allows players enough time to finish their turn and complete all of their actions.
option to show the other players rank on the main screen, similar to the little tab that says how many cards they have, a little tab that says "n" for novice, "I" for intermediate, "e" expert, "m" master, "g" grand master.
Allow game creators to enable a "draw" setting. In games with draws enabled, the game will automatically be declared a draw if no attacks are administered or the same move is repeated by all players over the span of three turns. This will help speed games along without the frequent "stalemates" that occur when nobody wants to sacrifice the troops required for a major attack.
Report Bug option in game. Make a button you can hit to report a bug along with a brief bit of text explaining what round the bug occurred/what happened. Similar to the report cheating option. Would help SMG identify and track bugs more easily.

When there are 5 or 6 players in a game, and a player doesn't confirm as ready, then proceed with 4 or 5 players instead of replacing them with an AI

The Great Wall of China Scenario: create a new scenario to take advantage of the Great Wall mechanic in the Qing Dynasty Map. Could do two versions of it- 1. Where you are the Mongol horde trying to invade the Qing dynasty over the wall. 2. Where you are the Chinese trying to defend against the Mongols. To make the mode more challenging it could be a capitals game or could share mechanics with other scenarios. For example it could have similar dynamics to the WW1 scenario with neutral armies in other parts of Asia that will turn aggressive if you attack them. Could also have similarities to the All vs One scenario with really unbalanced troop counts.
add button to auto conquer continent if a certain troop threshold is met and pathing exists to do so. Allow selection of possible endings if multiple paths exist. If necessary, dropping 3 troops in dead end territories along the way.
multiple gamemodes in one. for example, capital conquest AND 70% domination. That way you have to take two factors into account, protecting capitals and making sure someone doesn't get 70% of the map.

The fact that #688398564942282865 is just one small channel in a whole general category seems kinda underwhelming to me. Granted, you have roles to specify which mode your looking to play, but I think it would be much better to have a LOOKING FOR GAME category, with manually added (using a command) specific channels showing a game you can join. ie. I type !ng Spain[map name] -4p -FOW -Progressive...
... which would show the channel #spain and the channel topic would list 4 Players, Fog of War, Progressive Cards
Ideally the player/user who triggered the command in the first place would automatically become some sort of mod in this channel, who could use a command such as !gamestart, which would delist the channel from the LOOKING FOR GAME category and turn into a closed chatroom - in this case the 4 players - to talk in while playing the game (another perk of the plan... easier out-of-game communication with 'friends').
This is a great server, but I feel it's lacking a bit in terms of actual connection to the game Risk, other than a hub to find friends. Surely configuring this system would not be easy but I've thought about it and this would be a really amazing feature to add in terms of the server / gameplay.

One of the ways I see people sometimes play risk when playing the phisical board game is Secret Capitals (or what ever you want to call it). It is the same game as classic world domination, except for at the beginning of the game each player picks one of their territories that they possess to be there capital. This is not showen to other players, and the capital has no special defence features. The territory card is taken out of the deck, so if players get a card at the end of their turn, they know that the territory is not any of the players capitals. When a capital is taken by another player, all of the armies of the defeated player go to the person that took out the capital. The game continues until there is only 1 player remaining. This is a cool idea because you can either play where you make your capital obvious and put all your troops on it, or you can play a stratagy where you place all your troops in a completely separate place to fool your opponents. This game mode is shorter than a normal game if you have less time to play. This feature will stay true to the original game while still being a unique and fun way to play.
some improvements to the AI in Capitals. Currently AI doesn't seem to hold troops on their capital, often leaving only one troop and completely nullifying the defensive advantage. They favor weakly holding a continent over protecting their capital. I have also never seen an AI attack even a weakly defended capital. This makes single player capitals basically unplayable, or at least I don't know if it's even possible to lose. In multiplayer domination it's possible to get unlucky with the bot next to you, but in capitals if a bot capital is near you at the start it's very possible to take a second capital on your second or even first turn. And unlike continents, capitals are easy to hold. You can easily snowball the entire game because of one bot's play, can be very frustrating. TL;DR bots are so bad at capitals it's like they're throwing
spectate a friend's game
Show the order of final placement from 1st to 6th at the end of the game. It would be useful to know in a capitals/70% game what position you finished in if you did not win the game.
As it stands the criteria for placement for capitals/70% are not known to the player base (this should also be made more transparent). But by allowing us to see what position we finished in we might be able to work out what decides placing, whether its total troops/territories owned etc.
This would mean players can make correct decisions on what to do to ensure a 2nd place finish in these gamemodes. It would also be useful for tournaments on the discord to see proof of the final positions at the end of games.
Ban stalling. I know there are a lot of memes about how it's divisive and funny or something, but it honestly isn't lmao. If you're not good enough at the game to play it legitimately, then you shouldn't be on here at all. Learn to play the game and stop ruining it for others just because you're not smart enough to play it correctly.
A good way to combat it might be to just get rid of 5 minute turns. Nobody needs them. Aside from this, maybe adding a prompt to make sure somebody is staying active in the game, to where you have to progress within a minute on each phase of the turn.
Don’t implement the above suggestion. Stalling is a simple factor of the turn timer limit, and removing 5 minute timers would fail to combat that anyway - my majority of stalling matches are on 120s timers. Stalling is a legitimate strat especially when lower turn timers mean a non-stalling player could have spent just as much time on a turn as a staller. Stalling is a legitimate strategy.

An option to have blizzards that change throughout the game. Like at first they're on Ukraine, Brazil, and Madagascar, then they switch up every five turns. This could also lead to blizzards being generated in such a way that there are NO territories that aren't allowed to have blizzards and no combinations of territories that aren't allowed (blizzards on Siam aren't allowed because that blocks in Australia with no way in or out, breaking the game. But if the blizzards are changing every five turns or something, that could be permitted, as it would eventually be unblocked.
Not sure about this one, but changing lanes throughout the game across oceans or territories (a lane from East Aus. to Argentina at one point, but then it disappears and moves to a different territory.) would be cool as well. I'm not sure map-specific dynamics like that can be changed in a game, though.
An option in the pre-game options to hide the ranks of players to prevent lower-rank players from ganging up on higher-rank ones.

When you attack a territory and win, in this new 2.5v it automatically shows all your troops moving into the territory before you have selected how many you want to move in. In previous versions of the game it defaulted to showing 3 troops moving into the territory until you finished choosing how many you wanted to move.
I suggest changing it back to the older style of showing 3 troops, this comes into play as a strategy when playing with "fog of war" and not wanting to show other players how well fortified or not that you are.
‘Stalling’ is seen as a strategy. People join games, and don’t play the game in hope that you leave, so they can win.

I notice that you are considering going to automatch games only for ranking points. How about alternative automatch options with different settings, and with its own leaderboard? (I'm thinking specifically here about the 1 v 1 players)
make a gamemode or setting where you can only move 3 troups in another territory when you attack someone
Imagine there being a game mode similarly to how the zombies infect territories on the Zombie Apocalypse mode. But this time, its nuclear hellfire. (or MAD) where a nuke is dropped onto the map every 4 rounds, affecting 2-4 territories, give or take to where its randomly detonated. (It could even just be one territory). It would alter how the player's territories attack, by making attacking reversed or less likely to be able to attack without getting buffered down with a -3 to -5 troop loss. Or it merely shrinks down the nuked territorys' troop count (little by little for a brief moment, unless smaller troop territories with few troops drop to only 1). Basically, if a player's territory(s) are nuked on this mode, and depending on what territory it is (hopefully it isn't a big stack) it'll handicap them for one round over, giving them a much harder time to maneuver or attack from anywhere from where the blast is. Sure, there'd be many cons with this game mode. (named:"Nuclear Annihilation") But the nukes will only go on for so long that they'll stop being dropped. However, like zombies, the radiation could perhaps give an effect to nearby territories as well. And if there are blizzards implemented on the map, the nukes would also take effect to them by making them 'nuclear winters'. Meaning that the 3 or 4 blizzards (depending on map) switch drastically over the similar time period of every 4 rounds that the 'nukes' are detonated. Say, there's a blizzard in North Africa, but after a nuke has been dropped near its general location, it follows that direction and makes a different territory into a blizzard. Again, this would be a very dicey idea to implement as a game mode. And god knows how frustrating it'd be to lose troop stacks to the negative effects from the 'nukes'. (The territory that becomes a blizzard will eventually wear off, and the map will go to normal, as well as the troops that were in said territory in the first place).
I'd also like to add onto my suggestion here. And note that when players attack other territories. The ones that they leave behind will still remain nuclear, and if anyone else tries to take that said territory. Their stack will become affected. (Until the nuclear effect eventually wears off, which shouldnt be too long)
One final thing. My last suggestion for today would be to have a world map during the Cold War era. Suiting the fear of nuclear war during much of the mid 20th century.
For progressive cards it would be nice if there was no trade in cap at 60. I've had games where once players have 100 to 200 troops counts. No one goes for eliminations and it turns into a stalemate situation. It would be nice if there was no trade in cap. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Permanently (not temporarily like with the Discord chat suggestion thing) add some sort of chat option (or any other means of communication) to complain to the players in a game about collusion during the game. I know SMG is cracking down on it, but in my past ~7 games (all today), I've had three probable cases of collusion (one of which was somewhat difficult to tell because of fog, but the other two I'm completely sure of). Allowing people during a game to threaten the colluders with a report could scare them into playing the right way before they screw up the whole game for everyone else (and preventing collusion before it becomes serious, when possible, is better than banning people after the fact). The major drawback is that it could scare innocent players, but legitimately innocent players have nothing to worry about, and maybe there could be investigations into people who abuse it (people are punished for obviously false reports as of now anyway). I feel like there would be a lot less cheating if the cheaters were made aware that the rest of the game knew and that they were on the verge of getting reported, which would make moderation easier and improve the game for everyone.
A new scenario/gamemode, maybe called something like "rebellion": You play against regular enemies and ever now and then one random tile of yours becomes "rebelious". Meaning that you no longer hold it and there is a random amount of new enemy units(depending on how much units you have in total.) The new rebells will stay idle for 1-3 rounds to give you a chance to move units to them.
You win when all regualr enemies are defeated and there is no rebellion within your territory.
A little chat room while waiting for the game to start. Sometimes it takes like 5 minutes for the game to be full, and a lot of people end up leaving. It doesn't need to be a chatroom, but perhaps 6 or 7 pre-written text bubbles such as "Start already!" or "We need more people!", or "More bots!"
Somehow account for how weak other players when someone gets eliminated are in the ranking system, rather than relying so heavily on how someone placed. In many games, there are two incredibly weak players and a third player who has clearly won the game, and it just comes down to random luck of which player the strong player decides to take out first (sometimes the weak players turn on each other, but usually when you're both down to just a few troops with no stacks, there's rarely much strategy beyond lucky dice rolls). If two players either get eliminated during the same turn, or one player is exceptionally weak, I feel like there shouldn't be a significant difference in how much the ranks change for either of the players.
Allow game creators to disable allowing allies to see your territories in fog games. While allowing your allies to see your territories adds elements of strategy to fog games, it also effectively bars you from communicating with people who you don't necessarily want seeing all of your territories. Many game creators want that strategy and are okay with that drawback (or don't even see it as a drawback), but I think it would be nice if there was an option for game creators to enable the communicational aspects of alliances without necessarily giving people a way to see through much of the fog.
how to eliminate friends cooperate or not attacking each other:
When ever 2 ppl that are friends with each other are in one game, they get en letter to each others names (example: player 1 is friends with player 2, player 2 is friends to player 1 AND player 3, player 3 is friends to player 2 = player 1 gets an A to his name, player 2 gets an AB to his name, player 3 gets B to his name)
What effects brings that? The players now know in the game who is friends, they will observe action and can easily report misbehavior. The players that are friends know from now on that they are under observation and will "cheat less"
Effect number 2: players that are not interested in playing games that has friends in it can leave pre gamestart. Game creators that don't want to have friends in their games can kick them pre gamestart.
Allow people to access a game by its ID. I'm tired of getting random disconnects or app crashes and then just having to pray that a popup comes up. There absolutely has to be a way to allow people to manually access their game. I've seen it done on Warlight, where you can access any previous game, see everything that happened through the fog (if it's over) and analyze what mistakes you may have made, rejoin if you've been replaced by an AI, etc. That requires server space, but I see no issue at all with letting people type in a game ID and, at the very least, access ongoing games that way. When you access an ongoing game, it will see if you're offline in the game, and, if so, let you rejoin. Otherwise, it could either let you spectate, or just say "sorry, this isn't your game". So we would be advised to save game IDs at the beginning of games anyway, and we never have to worry about if the game doesn't give us the popup for whatever reason, or forfeiting because we don't reconnect to WiFi fast enough.
(In the game lobby, players who have recently found guilty of collaboration by the game's staff should be flagged so other players would know who they are playing against. It would be a fair punishment for those who are not permanently banned but deserve some kind of action. After a week if they are not reported for collaboration again they are unflagged.)
Allow people to be able to chat within the game. - Adding some sort of filter option to make it family friendly to allow new players to be able to use it without any hassle. Adding an option to mute users if people do become toxic in the chat (Having the chat off by default); there are many ways to help make a chat without ruining the game. Many games have succeeded in adding a family friendly text chat. A chat feature would help communication for players in the game (Helping new members who may not know how to play)… A lot of people download and play the game without knowing how to play (Who may not join the discord or look at the help tips). Having a chat -> allows people to talk and become friends -> people would come back to keep playing the game. Adding a chat in the main menu, In game and alliances. You can even just add it to alliances… even that makes sense. Further to that point, you should also be able to message people when you’re not “in-game” so you can keep in contact with the person (Some sort of private messaging system - when you’re out the game of course). No point having an “add friends” if you can’t do much with it.
Don't reward with ranking points to anyone except the winner. Finishing 2nd is no better than finishing 6th, especially in the scenario there is one all powerful player and that player decides who finishes 2nd and who finishes lower. So only award ELO ranking for 1st place players against all other players, not for, for example, 2nd v 4th.
So the effect, in 6 player games, is that when you win, you will receive 5 positive ELO adjustments, when you lose (on average 5 times as often) you will receive 1 negative ELO adjustment.
Make competition more relevant.
Problem: People stop playing ranked games after they reach grandmaster rank or relatively high position on the leaderboard
Solution: Add rank decay, people will be losing X% of their ranking points every few weeks
P: People suiciding for the 2nd place, not playing to win or targeting high ranked players for their ranking points, even if that makes them lose. Current ranking system rewards bad players if they know how to "gamble" it, and that really ruins the fun for grandmasters
S: Only reward for 1st place. It doesn't matter if you finish in 2nd or 6th - you will still lose the same amount of ranking points. Losing amount is individual for each player. Grandmaster is obviously going to lose way more ranking points than a novice. But novice still loses ranking points even if he/she finishes in 2nd
P: 1v1 players are dominating the leaderboard, and players who only play multiple player games - have no fair chance to compete
S: Make separate leaderboards for 1v1's and multiplayer. Also pottencially different leaderboards for fixed and progressive cards or maybe even game modes

Make a room in which you could create/customise your own risk situations. Creator mode. Like Pass & Play mode, just all of the players are controlled by you. You have the ability to add/remove any amount of troops on any territories of any players. If needed you can select where to put blizzards, add/remove capitals on the territories at any time, you can remove/add cards to the players, if the game is progressive you can select what's the value of the sets at the moment and so on, options like these. People could re-create the situations from the games and see what they could have done better, trying the variety of different ways until they find the best one. Additionally people could create their own "puzzles" showing the right and wrong ways how to solve them, recording and sharing them with the community online.

since the mongol empire was the biggest, strongest and greatest empire in history, with Chinggis Khaan being their leader, in the western world also known as Genghis Khan, a great new map idea would be their inner states/provinces colliding and attacking each other (since that is how the mongol empire collapsed when our king, Chinggis Khaan, died and the people of the Mongols wanted to be the great Khaan). The Empire went from turkey, middle east, china, and russia from 1200 to. 1300 BC. if you would like to make this map, please make some good research since it is very cool and would be super profitable. I am mongolian and it honesty would mean the world to me if there would be a “Mongol Empire” map from 1200 BC to 1300 BC. Thank you so much 💪💪

To reduce blockades in fixed card games, offer a reward to players for being more aggressive. For example, increase territory and card bonuses by 1 or 2 for each player you knockout. This gives incentive to kill other players when you can. So long as you can then survive long enough to collect the bonus ... short run v long run trade off.
Blizzards should be able to move so that no one player can just use blizzards luck to win, the blizzards locations where they will move next should have a front arrow and a turn counter to add some strategy to work around the blizzards, and to be able to move troops out of its next area of effect
The ability to spectate games you weren't a part of. It would be cool to watch grandmasters duke it out and learn from them.
Hello, my idea are to add Actually Europe map, after WW2 without Independes states with bonuses for countries like actually we have now days, like bonuses from Spain, Italy, Scandinavian Countries, Poland. that was most lovely by fan's map in another strategy games.

Next, we all know what happens: that player comes back and finds himself in that very strong position. And make no mistake: this is a completely different scenario from the player who was in a strong position, lost connection and came back 5 minutes later to find out the AI messed up his game.
This is about a player who was in a weak position, willingly left the game for 1 hour and came back to a game he did not play only to mess up everyone else’s game. He can execute his revenge on the player who bullied him or on the player who took his capital or on the ally that left him unaided or maybe even win the game. And there was no way for the other players to know his plot this because all they see is “This player is offline” which is the same status when someone surrenders.
What I propose is that after 10 minutes, the player cannot re-join the game no matter what and a different status is shown between a player who surrendered and a player who can still re-join the game so that we know that he is still a threat, and even more, he is still competing in a ranked match, which means you will lose points to him if you are taken out before his AI.
I played more than a hundred matches and, even though I recognize that this is a very uncommon scenario, it is very frustrating when it happens.
It's impossible to make friends and play ranked with them which hurts the people who want to be active and make friends through discord and other platforms to promote the game. There are a few ways to allow this to happen but it appears that SMG is dead set against ever letting this be allowed.
Do you not think this will hurt the company in the long run? Most of the players wanting to do this are the more active players who can follow specific guidelines to ensure cheating does not take place. If one chooses to not make friends they are allowed more opportunities to play ranked matches. I would suggest considering an organized option for friends to play in ranked matches.
This is my game idea what about adding a feature for 2 v 2s 3 v 3s and such and it might also aid in the teaming up with friends issue the other guy had.

Lt. Dan's Magic Legs made a very good statement about the players that leave and come back awhile later. I just have one problem, one time while playing Risk my parents said it was time for dinner. The bots took over, and after dinner we came back and were able to continue the game. I propose that we make it a limited amount of time, but long enough for someone to complete a simple task like eating a meal.
Da Irish Girl made a really good suggestion about improving her experience and everyone’s experience in a friendly non-ranked game. I really love it and I have no arguments against her suggestion.

I'd like to see a mode where capitals exist, but the goal is still world domination. I believe that capitals are an interesting game mechanic, which makes every game a little more unique, but it can be kind of annoying when someone gets lucky with they're cards and manages to gun all the capitals after losing for the whole game. That's a fine thing to be in the game, I'd just like the option to make it so you need to take the entire map, while still having capitals enabled.

More other video game oriented maps. Some examples I could think of is OW, Zelda, Portal, and Shovel Knight. It shouldnt be too hard to put one of these in aslong as you have a discussion with the companies and devs involved.
Defending from an allied gets one extra dice. When an alliance is broken, you only lose the extra defensive dice when its your turn. SO: (a) you can still attack allies and attacking that 1-troop should not be a big problem (b) allying with everybody will make it a bit harder to get your card-attack every turn (c) you can still betray and break an alliance with a strong attack when needed, but you will pay a price for that

I can't see this suggestion being overly popular, but it's something I've been personally wanting so I might as well put it out and see what happens. Anyway, I think there should be an option like the "pure skill" thing on Warlight, where you know exactly how many troops you will kill and exactly how many troops you will lose on each attack and every trade has the same value and is always possible at three cards. It kind of bugs me that there are some games where there's just no way you can win because you keep getting bad dice rolls and don't get good cards. A lot of people like the game like that, but I think it would be interesting to have a "pure skill" setting that will always give the game to whoever played best and never whoever happened to get lucky.

Variable Turn Timer and Fewer Turn Timer’s Initial setup options
You set a big timer (e.g. 180 sec) in a 6 player match and the opponent’s turn takes forever. Ok, then you set a small timer (e.g. 60 sec) and, while the start goes smoothly, in the end we have two players in a 1v1, in big open map, rushing each other, no strategy involved and playing very poorly.
Of course the most experienced players will get the most of the short Timer but when the time is so tight, even the best will play brainless.
Instead of having the Turn Timer = Fixed Initial setup constant we could have
Turn Timer as a function (Number of remaining players, Initial setup)
OR
Turn Timer as a function (Number of remaining players, Map size)
I won’t suggest values here because everyone has their own beliefs according to one’s own experience in the game, but I would suggest to have as few Turn Timer’s Initial setup as possible, e.g. Initial setup = Fast OR Slow. The reason is that I am fine playing 90s, 120s, 3m but I won’t filter any of those because I won’t find any game and having a Variable Turn Timer as the game progress won’t need so many options.
When you're searching for a game, instead of having a turn timer filter, there should be turn timer minimum and turn timer maximum filters. It's pretty rare that I really want to join a game with a 60s turn timer and wouldn't accept anything else, but I often don't want to join games with >3m turn timers, so it would be nice to be able to filter 60s as the minimum and 3m as the maximum, for example.
Add a half Blitz option
Sometimes you find yourself rolling dices not for conquering the territory, but for weakening the opponent’s army. Two examples that already happen to me many times:
I allied with another player to go after the 1st one and we shared our losses;
I need that army back. E.g. Plan A is to conquer a territory without heavy losses. Plan B, I rolled some dices and suffered heavy losses and I cannot afford to conquer that territory anymore.
So instead of rolling dices one by one, which becomes very boring in the latter stages (might not even have time to do so, when we are talking about hundreds of army count), I would like a Blitz option to roll until X of my army remains. E.g.
While (defender’s army > 0 AND attacker’s army >= X + number of defender’s dice): Roll
Also, besides being able to choose X, I would like to set
X = 4 - number of defender’s dice, i.e. While (defender’s army > 0 AND attacker’s army >= 4): Roll
as DEFAULT as opposed to the current
X = 2 - number of defender’s dice, i.e. While (defender’s army > 0 AND attacker’s army >= 2): Roll
which means, for instance, that last suicidal 3 v 19 will be in the player’s choice, whether he makes a final dice roll or not. We can all agree that even if we don’t use that 2 army count to fortify elsewhere, a defensive 3 is better than an offensive 2 plus a defensive 1.

I was thinking it would be a good idea to implement a way to tell your ally/faction member to attack a specific territory. Like highlighting a specific territory that only your ally can see. And either one of you can remove the highlight. The highlighting feature would preferably only work if you are in a faction.

Allow players to make settings pre-sets. So if you have settings that you like to play when your doing ranked, but decide to play different settings, getting back to your old settings is easy. What I'm thinking is you go into a menu, enter the settings you'd like to save, enter a name, and its done. Then when your creating a game, you could have pre-sets like ranked, tourney, etc. This feature would make switching between different ways to play easier.
In extension to GrandMaster Yoda’s idea of having game presets, being able to turn on alerts for a preset would be useful. This would make it quicker to fill lobbies, since you’d be able to join when someone starts the game you like, and others who like that exact setup could be notified to join yours when you host
Make a game mode for teams to fight. The Halo Risk game has that and I really enjoy it. It's like alliances except you dont have to kill eachother in the end

In game chat, it's pretty self explanatory. To maintain the family friendliness of the game there should be an aggressive chat filter (no no words are not allowed). Players should have the option to mute and report any player in game. In game chat should be a toggleable option when creating a game (players will have to choice to filter for games with or without in game chat). Additionally there should be a whisper command so that players in an alliance can talk secretly.
Communication among players would add another layer of nuance to the game-just like playing risk irl.
No ingame chat, more canned chat options instead. Ingame chat creates a language barrier that autotranslation cannot completely solve, and gives loads more work to developers and people who check reports because of reporting. Additionally, users could expose younger players to nsfw content through messages. Canned chat is all-around safer.

New Gamemode: Grand Capitals
This gamemode would be more or less exclusive to massive maps like Germany.
Each player will have one ‘Major’ Capital (the same one in Capital Conquest.)(Placed wherever player wants at the start.)(Gain 2-3 troops per capital per turn.)
Each player will also have two-three ‘Minor’ Capitals. (4 Attacker Dices V 3 Defender Dices, Defenders getting preference.)(Gain 1 troops per minor capital per turn.)(These minor capitals get randomly placed in provinces with at least 2 or more troops.)
To win in this gamemode you have to capture either all Major capitals OR all the minor capitals. This would be interesting in massive maps.

Reduce the amount your rank tanks if you get eliminated before you get your first chance to trade. When you're starting a game with 20 troops, you will have a maximum of 29 troops by turn three, but realistically, there's no way to avoid getting attacked a little bit and you're usually in the 20-25 range (sometimes less if you are aggressive or get unlucky with the players around you being aggressive). When someone gets a perfect trade and deploys 15 troops on turn three, if they decide to take you out, there's really no amount of "strategy" that can save you anymore - they have, on average, 15 more troops than you and can concentrate them in one stack to take out most of what you have. It gets worse if you get to five cards and can't trade and/or are playing with inexperienced players who overestimate the importance of eliminating people, since often one player will try, and even if they fail, another player will just finish it off. When that happens, your rank tanks because you were "last place". That's not fair, considering that the players who are eliminated after establishing themselves did strategically fail in comparison to others, whereas you very well may never have had a real shot. Given how absurdly overpowered a trade near the beginning of the game can be, the game should be way more lenient towards people who are eliminated by early trades and have many more troops lost than troops killed.
To add some spice to the game, allow a computer control player to be Zombies/The Undead in any type of game play. Having the ability to have Zombies/Undead in "Capital Conquest" would be awesome, but having them to be a part of any game play would be ultra awesome

When somebody goes offline, especially when there are multiple humans left in the game, their AI should not be so insanely aggressive. It's not fair to players who happen to be near a player who goes offline that they're almost definitely going to get suicided on at some point.
ready up in lobby not after lobby. All players have to hit ready to start. If host change player count it resets the ready ups.
In the late games when winner is certain you have to take all places one by one. We need something that makes you take areas faster. Maybe an attacking line or something else but we need to make it faster becuase it's being annoying.
To practice for bad days on ranked: a Brutal Mode on single player, where the bots all target you, and where the dice actually hate you 😂

It would be adjusted as the ELO system is based on two players, but here there is a good and simple adaptation to implement multiplayers ELO system http://www.tckerrigan.com/Misc/Multiplayer_Elo/. INTEREST 1: to encourage drastically weak players to play with the better players. INTEREST 2: more precision of the ranking system for users.( Example: We would see an increase of 10 points after a game). INTEREST 3: ELO system is world-wide known. So it conveys the message that the RISK game becomes a bit more serious.

option for less than 60 secs turn timer
New Gamemode Idea: Nuke Mode. Basically, the limit on Territory cards is raised to 10. You can still trade in cards and play normally with cards. But if you build up 10 cards, you can trade in all of them and gain a Nuke. The Nuke completely clears one territory of troops, but it uses up your turn. Alternatively it turns one territory into a Blizzard and you have to play around it for the rest of the game.
FIX THE COLLABORATING AIs
I’ve already shown my concerns about a player withdrawing and still ranking higher than the others because the remaining players target each other while leaving the AI alone. Now it is even worse because the AI respects the OFFLINE player’s alliance pacts which means it will hunt down the “enemy” players, i.e., the ones that were not fortune enough to get an alliance pact with said player.
The COLLABORATING AI behaves much more like a COLLABORATING PLAYER than an ALLYED PLAYER, that is, an ALLYED PLAYER will still pursue his own agenda while TEMPORARILY benefiting from the alliance, whereas a COLLABORATING PLAYER will be a lackey, PERMANENTLY working for another’s interest.
Even worse is the fact that players are using MUTIPLE ACCOUNTS AND GETTING AWAY WITH COLLABOARION by making alliance pacts with their accounts and going OFFLINE. It would be funny to report a COLLABORATING AI when all it is doing is following the algorithm it was programmed for.
The temporary solution is to toggle off the ALLIANCES option but it comes with a cost: without being able to communicate with the canned chat it takes away much of the game fun, which is to construct a victory based on negotiation.
The coin system realy bother me. Its such a cool game but those who can't afford it can't really play it. Maybe addind a reward system. When you win a game you at least win those 10 coins back or something. :/
I think there should be like update where you can make Factions or Clans or Guilds. Basically players can make factions or whatever you like to call them and have friends and people join it and there could be something like factions wars or something. It could be a payed gamepass and available to a specific rank (Expert, Master, etc.). I think this would bring a new thing to this game and bring it more over that multiplayer side. Thankyou.

• Solar systems as “territories”. They are point-like territories connected through line segments;
• Spiral arms as “continents”. Few territories, i.e. solar systems, connect one spiral arm to another,
• Central bar as a “continent” connected to all spiral arms;
• Cards showing Squadron of Starfighters instead of infantry, Battleship instead of cavalry, and Capital Ship instead of artillery;
• Supernovae as blizzards.
The galactic map or its quadrant could come from a real galaxy like the Milky Way or a fiction one like the Star Wars galaxy or the Legend of the Galactic Heroes galaxy.

There are around 800 million chess players in the world and only about 1500 of them are grandmasters. However Risk, which only has around 10 million members has around 7000 Grandmasters. A reasonable reduction in the number of Risk Grandmasters would make the title more valuable and sought after

1)Add 2 sections one for normal games and another one for the ranked games
2)The normal games should be the same mechanics as now(Create a game and people join)
3)Ranked section should be built on a way to make it more strict and competitive plus decrease the pourcentage of cheating.
3.1)First step is about either adding more ranks(Novice,Amateur,beginner,example...)or changing it to trophy system or MMR(I can explain how it works later).
3.2)In my opinion ranked games should have a find match button.It's so simple no one can create a lobby or join another,you just press on ranked section if you want to play ranked then press find match
and the system will match players with each others as random for sure with ranks not to far,this can decrease the pourcentage of cheating,
3.3)You will ask me which maps and which modes:When you enter the ranked section on your right should be 3 random maps and those 3 random maps changes every 2 days.

Usually when you kick someone from your game as a host, it's for a reason - however sometimes an annoying player will often instantly rejoin the game, and will keep rejoining every time you kick them, which stops the right player being able to join. A solution to this would be to have a 60 second cooldown on joining the same game after being kicked

introduce a 30s turn timer setting
A significant game-mechanic in 60s progressive matches was knowing if you had the time to destroy your opponent. Similarly, if you were weak, you could take as many territories as possible to delay your death. Now, with the animation changes, these mechanics are essentially gone because you can take over the entire map in 60s.
Furthermore, 60 seconds turn timers used to force players to think fast. This challenging mechanic has diminished significantly with the changes. Players now have much more time to think in 60s turns because the attacking phase is much quicker.
A 30s turn timer would bring these mechanics back
If SMG does choose to make all ranked games have to be automatched in Spring 2021, it would be useful to have 2 types of automatch:
Longer Games Automatch - e.g. this could include:
World Domination Fixed (can take 4 hours+),
Fixed Capitals (can take 6 hours+),
Progressive capitals (can take 10 hours+)
Shorter Games Automatch -
For when players have less time, which could include e.g.
World Domination Progressive (usually <20 min)
Zombie Progressive (usually <20 min)
70% progressive (usually <15 min)
And maybe even some 1v1 or 5 round rumble could be considered for adding to this category, because they’re quick.
The popularity of maps for certain settings, and community feedback could decide which range of maps would be used in each category of automatch.
Brought this up before, but with all the stuff people have made it would be awesome to have a US States Map Pack - So far we’ve got New Jersey, Hawaii, Maine and Texas, and there’s plenty of other candidates should more be wanted aside from those.
maybe the game could be balanced a bit with rank, because at the moment its not about being good at the actual multiple player games its about being good at 1v1. Maybe have a rank for 1v1, progressive and fixed. People may dislike this idea, but thats fine just a suggestion.
This is for the guys who can't buy Premium to have unlimited coins, but maybe increase the coins per hour to 5 so non-premium members can continue playing games (at least one per hour). Yesterday alone I blew off at least 40 coins from playing with friends and I can't buy premium for a while and it basically makes the game pay to play if there isn't other ways to get coins.

When you kick a player from the pre-game lobby a certain number of times make it so they are unable to join over and over.
Timebank option with shorter move times (timebank accumulates every move if not used, and activates when normal timer runs out) - makes for much faster gameplay while still leaving the player with extra time for an occasional longer move)
Neutral bot option - when a player becomes a bot, he either becomes an active bot (like we currently have) or a "neutral" player (gray color troops). Neutral troops don't move or attack, but defend as normal when attacked. This option can be set in pre-game (neutral or active bots).
This one is a bit ambitious, but it would be fun to have a "random map generator" - player sets up parameters, like map size (S, M, L, XL) and other stuff, and the game generates a whole fresh random map. If the idea picks up, I can help create algorithm for the generation, I worked on things like this before.
Please let the ready button in match preparation be available in lobby and not as a game intro, because some people are playing with AI s and once we join their game they instantly start the match without having any chance to check what ranks are the people in-game or if they have added Computer players.

I don't like playing with bots and many people too don't like to play with bots,so I suggest to make the ready or accept button before the game starts If someone didn't click on dat button he will get kicked from the lobby and the game won't start untill the lobby creator starts it again.

Adding a Balanced Blitz odds calculator would be valuable to players, because this is the most commonly played setting.
A level of bot difficulty below Easy called Pacifist, that never attacks.
This would be useful for players who want to avoid bots ruining long games if a player disconnects. It would also be good for players who don’t want the bots to get too powerful while the humans are busy fighting each other.
A leaderboard of how many times each different map is played on Global domination. There could be a weekly one (to look at the effect of free maps of the week) as well as an all time one, to see which are the most popular maps overall.
Knowing which maps are popular would help inform new players hosting games, as well as informing discussion around which maps to use for tournaments, and discussion around potential ranked automatch systems in the future.

Add a "win/loss" percentage next to players' games won/lost meter in their profile card. That will distill their ability down to roughly one number and save me needing to do division.
if/when ranked goes to automatch only, variety needs to be added to automatch instead of only fixed world dom on classic. If you could select a specific map for automatch, then each map could have its specific settings that could vary from map to map and it specified in each maps description. That way there is still cap rank games, and variety of fixed/progresive and 1v1s and 6 way rank games. Automatch should also group players of similar rank, and there could be certain settings that are set via player rank (e.g. timer, bot difficulty, blizzards, etc) Since the option to add bots would be gone, I think it is important to keep zombie games as possible rank game mode since there are people that like to play rank games with bots. Also settings like fog, alliances off, and manual should be tied together and could be the setting for GMs. I'd say timer would be 120s for noobs, 90s for intermediate and expert, and 60s for master and GM. Maybe turn on blizzards at expert+, and fog at GM. Maybe start noobs off at TR, and switch to BB at intermediate+, etc. The main settings that would change for each map would be game mode, card type, and number of players. At minimum classic map would need a fixed and a progressive word dom settings choice. So with 44 maps that would be 45 different options to divide the player base instead of the current like 30M+ different combinations of settings now.
A dice roller for people to use with physical verisons, or just to see chances for fun. People could chose between true random or balanced blitz, and then just input the armies on each side, and then it would give the results just like how it does for app games.

Perhaps you could map out something similar, it's the map design the makes it fun. The size, the amount of territories, the balance, the terrain, gold sites, ports and bridges. It is very fun to play because of the map, it would be awesome if the team made something similar like it. Because playing on that board felt more like on continental battle.
Also, since the above suggest was taken out of context, this suggest is an addition to the suggest above. What is being talked about is the Lord of The Rings risk map. It's rather fun for the reasons stated above, however one of the team members here said that the license for such is very expensive. Yet, the license may be bypassed if remade the map without the copyrighted content, renaming everything, yet keeping the board the same, or you could make new map, based on the design of the LoTR map.

So I have just experienced a bot trap that I think should be count as cheating. What happened was I got in to a game that was supposedly going to have 4 players but when I had join it was just owner and 2 other bots I had tried to leave but it was to late since the game started right after I had joined so instead of 1v1v1v1 it’s 1v1 vs 2 bots. This kind of game exploitation should be banned and for this to be possible the game should have a bot limit based on how large to lobby is for example if it’s 4 player lobby only one bots should be allowed leaving room for 2 extra players and so on with bigger lobby. So if you guys see this please consider doing something about game exploitation such as this thank you.

Redo the blocking system. First, you should be able to block people straight from the game lobby to avoid spam joiners. Second, if you block someone all their alts should also be blocked to avoid any alt account spam/cheaters.
The ability to highlight continents and territories to allies as a method of communication - you could use it to tell them to pull troops out of somewhere, you could threaten them if they don't attack someone, you could warn them of a potential attack on them that you don't want to happen or use it to make them paranoid about another player, you could also use it to agree on routes for attack if you're teaming up on the strongest player. Ally chat could also use a question mark.
When you ally in a fog game, make it so you can see the number of troops and territories your ally has.

in game odds checker for both attacker and defender. For e.g if I am in the process of leaving my troops in a territory I just attacked, there is a odds checker that shows the percentage probability of the troops currently selected to be deposited surviving an attack against an attacker with 1 more troops, 2 more troops, 3 more troops, 4 more troops & 5 more troops.
When having a friends list, there should be a search box somewhere to type out a name or symbol so the names of those who match will show up like looking up someone from a phone book or on here on Discord to tag someone. This would be better than having to keep scrolling down for hours to look for that player to see stats or activity.
Add a ''Blocking system'' in lobby when you kick someone from it, so that it will keep specific users from joining in that same lobby again, over and over. This can be especially useful againts users who just love to tease those in lobby and keep joining in it, just to waste time of that user and their time as well.
Also, add a ''Blocking list'', so whoever you block in game you play with, can never join your game again if you block him. This can be EXTREMELLY useful againts alt accounts you encounter in game (1vs1 primarly). This will drastically improve the way users get their opponents, fair and square as much as possible!

Fix whatever is causing the turn timer to change from the last chosen setting in create a game. It seems to just switch around randomly instead of staying at 60 seconds. It's the only setting that does this. PLEASE FIX IT.
Option to turn off camera animations for individual dice rolls.
Particularly in True Random, it would be useful to be able to quickly click on the dice a few times in a row, and instantly see each outcome.
There are also situations where this would be useful in Balanced Blitz mode.

Rather than players accepting the ‘ready for game to begin’ after the game is launched and replacing a dropout with AI; players would accept that they are ready to play in the lobby once the hosts launches the game.
If a player is not ready at the end of the countdown then they are removed from the lobby and their spot is open for a new player.
This would prevent unwanted AI opponents if a player misses the player-Ready button.

Since Social images are no longer a thing from this new maintance or whatever you call it, I reccomend adding some form of ''customization hub'', where you can essentially add some form of detection bot system on users who put NSFW, violent and un-natural profile pics, so that it blocks them from adding those profile pics on their profile. Ofcourse, we will be able to add a pic for our profile like in the past, but much more wider in terms of freedom (not so restricted from social accounts, where you can only make one profile pic and then you can't change anything when you put it in). So yea, some new form of customization that can offer a LOT choosing benefits and at the same time block those who aren't choosing the normal ones and forcing them to choose a normal, rule obided ones. It would be really great!
I also believe that a lot of users will be mad after this removal, since they don't feel special anymore with just normal Risk avatars, so it's better for a new, more unique change if you are removing it after all of those years!
Rather than remove custom avatars, keep them and add inappropriate avatars as a reportable offense and only those who have those pictures get their avatar removed
On the Risk online leaderboard website there should be a search box to let you type either the player's name or site page number for easy reference instead of looking page by page for hours possibly to find your stats or someone else's.

Add a sound option for when someone joins your lobby and for the freaking ready up button already. Why? It's frustrating to keep predicting when someone is gonna join your game and be prepared to push the ready up button, because a lot of times, they mess up pushing that ready up button, then keep getting kicked (primarly in Friends games). I also reccomend adding some kind of ''Countdown timer'' for when you start the game and add a sound to it as well. This will alert users to prepare in a MUCH more effective way than other of those 2 ideas, but better to add all 3 of them, if you can. If not, then just add a sound option for ready up or anything else from those ideas and that's that!

One of the most common complaints I see in app reviews of Risk is people who lost battles they expected to win (e.g. 5v3)
If the battle odds for each blitz was much larger, clearer and more prominent on the screen before each battle, new players would know how likely they are to win a battle before they choose to do it.
It would also be useful if the blitz calculator showed bigger battles, rather than showing ‘???’ for battles larger than around 100 troops.
Players being more informed about the odds would reduce nasty surprises for players, and improve customer satisfaction and retention
Add a chat box bar in the lobby of the game. This will make it so that everyone is ready for the game and not randomly guessing when to start, then someone forgets to ready up or just isn't present in the game and doing something else (will be extremelly useful in random games, without friends)!

In the new Las Vegas map, AFB has a dark line around it, making it appear to be its own continent. However it is not marked as a continent on the continent map.

Many high level players requested a 20 second, 30 second or 40 second turn timer, because they find the 60 second turn timer too slow.
However SMG rejected these as being too fast, fearing faster turn timers would upset new players.
I suggest adding a 50 second turn timer, as a compromise between these two viewpoints.

Have a map pack dedicated to learning all the countries of the world as well as important places of interest in each continent for educational purposes for teachers and students. Geography is an important subject that deserves respect and that many people should know and learn. This map pack can benefit both teachers and students alike who struggle learning where places are at in continents. I am considering a teaching role someday so I feel that having a map pack dedicated for learning all the places in the world that are relevant will brighten minds everywhere and have fun at the same time!
Add Guilds in game and Leaderboard for them as a seperate Category. Would be cool to see this game a little bit more ''Team'' based than just random games in Global and Friends that are all ''one vs all'', whatever the settings and mode. Would be really amusing how players would interact with each other within specific Guilds, especially great ones, much more aspect that could be potencialy made into the game and make it MUCH more fun and entertaining within the whole Risk community!
National Leaderboards (using flags)
go up two suggestions to Xerokee's (which is utterly amazing btw), and add on a team chat where you can type to your teammates, and add a 3v3 mode along with it, where you can do it with randoms or with your friends.

Time option (or even as the default) where no additional time given after a kill. I’ve seen too many progressive games end in a single turn on the fastest setting where 1 player kills all 5. Players can still easily increase the time per turn, but this is what ruins strategy in progression.
Cap # units at end of turn able to fortify to 10. Players pretending and easily turtling without being punished is a mortal sin to risk. Fortify to 10 also adds more skill as it forces players to think more about their placement.
Create a 2nd tier rating for tournaments and then reset all ratings. Add a hall of fame section to include all old rating for top 100/500. Wouldn’t it be nice to see an environment where you can view who the real ‘top players’ and those players are active.
Rated games must include 3 or more human players. Games default to unrated otherwise. Let players earn being a top player and not how most of these ‘top’ players grind away at new players.
Include more emoticons (can be a premium function). We definitely need a sleepy emoji. Also, the ability to use the emoticon during the game loading progress to give players something fun while the game loads up.
Maps need to be vetted more. As a mapmaker #1 cardinal sin total # countries needs to be reasonable. ‘A simple world’ needs to be revised/removed as I’ve already seen it abused in 1v1 games with bots. No game should be over before a player even gets a single turn.
New game mode: capitals v2. No bonuses given on a capitals. Capitals are picked and hidden at the start. If you capture someone’s capital, you gain all of their land and lose. Believe it or not, this is one of the highest skill based risk game.
Add 2-3 additional premium user colors.

When entering a game and when one is stuck in joining and not being able to join the lobby, instead of exiting the app and reentering the game multiple times like that, have an option to kick in to let you exit the lobby so you can rejoin many times until you are in the game without restarting the app to save time.
Limit the number of troops a bot (or player that has been replaced with a bot due to inactivity) can move out of a capital in Capital Conquest. Somewhere around no more than 50%. It is incredibly frustrating to be in a game, and one player goes offline. The bot then moves all the troops out of the capital and leaves it open to the next person in line. Given as capitals are worth an instant +2, the player who takes it over basically gets it for free, and this will oftentimes turn the course of the match in that person's favor. In my opinion, Capital Conquest should be about strategy, and not about who happens to be closest to the capital when a bot takes over. Makes the game not as fun.
To clarify, I mean no more that 50% in any given move
When opening the game there should be more Risk avatars used to greet the player than the same 3 or 4. Every one is unique and all Risk avatars matter.

Benefits:
1)There are a lot of instances where ppl dont ready up as they had been doing something else or had been 'distracted' waiting for the lobby to fill up. They can get a vibration and know that the game is starting and they should ready up.
2) Sometimes, the host gets bored af waiting for the lobby to fill up. He will get a vibration when the lobby fills up and/or a player joins or leaves the lobby.

A Report-Bug feature in the Risk game, to encourage faster reporting and solution of bugs
Keep a party mode where different game modes such as team matches or bounty hunter games can be played. It would be unranked and the party game could be weekly or seasonal. It would be fun to play these modes with other ppl.
Have Camera Animations turned off by default, since they have little benefit, and the speed difference between players with/without them on results in new players complaing daily in Discord and app reviews about the so-called ‘speed hack’

Make the ability to play Capital Conquest without the defensive capital bonus (a capital would have the same defensive bonus as a simple territory). The reason for that is because the Capital games were supposed to be for much shorter games, but actually these are the ones what are the longest (playing with decent players these games can go for hours). So I think it would be great if we had an option to play Capital Conquest without the defensive capital bonus
"Number of players filter" Some people prefer a certain number of players. Like me, I prefer maxed always 6 players. But there are no filter for that, so we get to see lot of games we doesn't care and have to circle around. There is a filter for everything else to avoid that. Why not add one for the number of players too?
“Refresh Button” when looking for games I scroll through and look at every single one. Whenever I look at all of them I have to search again instead of hitting a simple refresh button to see if there are new games or if some opened up
Premium Tokens : When becoming Premium, people could earn a new Tokens type by playing games, and more when winning.
Purpose: To unlock new map. Not bundle, but single map. Like most free to play games, there would be two ways to acquire things: A slow way that need time and works on it, in-game, or a fast and easy way (here, buying the DLC bundle maps).
Right now, the Premium doesn't feel as Premium as that. It just feel a starter package DLC, but there are so many more DLC and there will be way more over the years.
Having a way to unlock some more maps, even slowly, would make Premium really a Premium thing. And, like other Free to play, people will continue to buy DLC too, because it is way easier and faster and it gives more maps. It would just make Premium more interesting and fun.
Same option "5 tokens right away" for mobile, but on PC
More players, the better for everyone! But PC version is more like an exclusive premium version. Free to play players will really fast stop to play it, since tokens are slow and there are no way to get more tokens. On mobile version, we can watch a pub to get 5 instan-token.
Adding this option to allow PC players to refill their free to play account, while giving you money for the add watching, would make more players to play with, wich would benefit to premium players: More players = less time to wait, and more games to choose with our filters!
Since the option is already on mobile, why not add it on PC, so the 2 version would be more fair, and having players from both!
Let Free players play in Premium players’ lobbies token-free.
This would reward premium players, by helping their lobbies fill faster.
It would also make casual players (who were unlikely to but premium anyway) happier, and give better reviews

providing the ability to view a players profile from the game lobby. If you can verify a player before you get in game you could cut down on cheaters and help ranking players not play a person who could hurt their rank. (I’m sure someone has suggested this before me but can’t confirm so I’m suggesting again)
Advanced filters
Instead of selecting a choice between preset choices, let have filters where we can select everything we want to see.
Exemple: Instead of choosing a specific mode or "all the mode", let us select all the mode we like and unselect the ones we don't. Because if we like more than 1 mode, we have to take "all the modes" and skip all the ones we don't like. Not a really good filter...
Same with the map, let us select all the maps we wanna show.
(Same with players filter if it would be in the game someday, let us select the number we want to play, and unselect the ones we are not interested into).
More advanced filters means win-win. Faster we see games we are interested into, faster they fill up. Seeing games we don't want to play won't fill them up easier, we just have to skip them (so not a really good filters if we have to filter after the filter).
They really need to bring back asking players to attack x player and communication without being in alliance. They said they dont want chat because hasbro doesnt want young audience offended but the new UI just made communication even worse. Also they need to do something about wanting a game with 2 players leaving the game right at start, they said they feel bad for people with bad itnernet connection but it impedes on everyone else there should be a penalty in ranked mode for it like in every other game but no penalty in unranked. Finally they need to make alliance requests expire if you ask someone at the beginning of the game it sits there literally all game and you cant request it again when the dynamics of the game change. im grandmaster and love this game been playing forever but these 3 things are really making the experience worse...
a swap mode. So Alliances in the game dont have much meaning it's just a way to ask someone to attack someone else. Well I found a way to make alliances more meaningful. Essentially you swap territories. (By the way there could be an option to turn this off) First you offer the person you are in an alliance with a territory then he offers a territory and it asks if you both want to swap. And if you both say yes you swap territories and your troops come with you.
Show number of bots when looking at games (before entering lobby)
Right now, it just show how many players in the lobby and the total asked.
But if it says, for exemple, 5 on 6, then you join, you can see 4 computers and 1 human. Often, the host start right away, so you don't have time to leave. You have to wait 10 seconds and avoid confirming, because you weren't interested in a computer games, losing your time and host time who will have to recreat the game...
And even when you have time to leave lobby, it shouldn't require you to join multiple lobby and leave multiple to find the one you are looking for. All other information are visible before joining. It should be nice if bots were too before joining, like:
Players: 5/6
Bots: 4
would mean 4 of the 5 players are bots in that lobby. So we knew it before joining the lobby and we join only if interested.
i have reverse engineered the elo formula used to update ranks with the help of my comrades, sterling and spike. This has allowed me to calculate the exact rank gain for any scenario of number of opponents and their relative skill to your own. This has revealed the true lack of rewards for FFA games vs 1v1s. For example, a 6M skill point player vs a 500k Skill point player yields about 6.5k skill points on a win, whereas if the 6M player beats four 500k skill point players he only gets 11.7k skill points which is less than half the amount of skill points per player defeated (about 2.9k).
So I have created an alternate rank formula which is too complex to go into the exact equation in this suggestion. But using the same scenario from above I suggest that the 1v1 only rewards 1.6k skill points whereas the FFA would give 21.4k skill points, so in a 5 player game that would equal about 5.4k skill points per the 4 opponents beaten. This still would scale with ranks and is still skill points awarding neutral similar to the current formula.
I implore you to give this a shot before banning 1v1s. Many players prefer it since it is less risky, and that's ok. But it should be the slow methodical way to rank up since there is less risk. Whereas the more risky FFA games should be the embodiment of "no risk, no reward!"

When you are an ally with someone in a fog of war game, you get to see the count of their troops and territories by their name like you would if there was no fog of war. Not a game mechanic changer, really just saves the time of counting.
Special in-game events in each holidays
Lot of free to play games and online games get special events in holidays (Halloween, Christmas, Valentine Day, Easter) with candys/ gift/ hearth/ eggs and chocolate, etc.
Those events are really useful, as in Pokemon Go: It brings back lot of players and new ones and more people playing through events = more possible money = Niantics made way more $$ in Pokemon Go events then in normal time.
Same there, more people playing and being motivated would mean they would possibly want more map to play on.
And for everybody, events are fun and motivating, giving a nice challenge and refresh in the game.
And you can get exclusive rewards. Like if you collect enough candys in the event, you get some exclusive rewards from that event (or exclusive pokemon, etc.)
So it would be really fun to have in-game events in Risk, like gift/ snow to collect on boards to unlock special rewards. I don't exactly know what the event would be. Just make it something fun that last 1-2 weeks and motivate us even more, letting us celebrate holidays in the game, with little exclusive something to unlock.
Right now, I saw there are no in-games event at all. Just upgrade that are timed to launch near holidays, but upgrade aren't special events. It is something that would happen one time or an other. It would be fun to have those events for some celebration time with more players and fun.
they should, IF POSSIBLE, add crossplay with the Console edition of the game. Fir the Earth Map only!

Less confusing starters rank
Right now, we start as a Novice, then we upgrade to a beginner. This is really confusing. In other games, if you begin the game... you are a beginner. But if you played the game for 1 year and you're still not quite good, you are now a novice, since you beginned the game a long time ago, not anymore a beginner. You at least got some experience. Even now that I know SMG did the reverse way for the starter ranks, I still always have to ask myself : wait, no, in this game, beginner aren't beginner, they are better than novice. Because I always see beginner as the beginning rank of a rank system, where novice have some xp.
Same if I get dropped, I would prefer having novice rank than beginner, because novice means I know the game, I just need to get better.
So I would suggest to switch Beginner and Novice. Beginner would be < 1000 Rank points, Novice 1000-1050 Rank points. That would be so much less confusing and follow the same logic as other games with similar rank.
Sound for PC Full loby/ confirmation
On phone, you get vibration if the lobby is full or if you have to confirm you are ready. That was a bright idea to add , since we don't stay there watching the screen until the lobby fill up , except if it fills up in secs, wich isn't always the case.
The problem is this idea was only for the phone, no warning for pc. So if you go elsewhere or if you just Alt-Tab / Windows key to do something else while waiting, you miss the moment the lobby is full to start it if you are a host or to confirm if you joined. That happened often to me.
And since I don't want to wait 10 min while doing nothing, it doesn't motivate me to join lobby that are long to fill up.
So I would suggest a sound warning to replace the vibration warning from phone. PC players need the warning as much as phone players.
An ‘Offer Rematch’ button at the end of a ranked game
Auto-refresh lobby list
Instead of having 10 lobby written full and having to exit and come back every time or to scroll a longer and longer list of lobby, auto-refresh it so that when a game start, the lobby vanish from the list without needing to exit and coming back to the lobby list. And push every lobby up in the list, so that a lobby created for a long time would eventually appear on the top of the list.
That would help to find the lobby we want, easier and faster.

More fixed number of turns
Most modern boardgame, to avoid getting boring and lasting too long, have a fixed number of turns before the end.
In the choices, right now, we can set a 5 turns limit. But this is for really really short game (where we can even trade only 1 set of cards in the game).
It would be nice to have more choices of turns limit. To still have some big epic games, but that would never get boring or endless.
I like to play fixed for the calculated move, but the problem is, once there are 3-4 people left and we are set, no one make any more move since it's too dangerous, andgames become boring and long. Fixed number of turns would solve that, since if we wait, at the turn, for example, 25, we lose. So we have to move.
And it would be nice that it wouldn't be a mode, but an option. So we can fix number of turns in capital mode if we want or in zombie mode, to keep the game always fun and interesting.
Remember to include chat expressions from Discord in the game
A visual in-game of how far/ when you will get to the next rank-up.
A profile statistic for average amount of players in games played. Would let you know if someone is more prone to 1v1 or FFA
A battle log from the main menu that shows your recent games, how long they lasted, who played in them, and what place they finished in. Maybe a few more details within the battle log.
Offer fast caps and slow caps as additional settings.
Fast caps would still allow players to win by conquering all capitals, but offer no defensive advantage (these would mostly be used for fast fun free-for-alls)
Whereas slow caps would still offer defensive advantage, whereas winning the game would require conquering the whole map. This would be handy for skilled 1v1, to avoid lucky players beating skilled opponents through crazy cap hits.
Offer the ability to choose who goes first or second in play friends mode
This would give an option to make it fair who goes first or second especially in tourneys
A setup thats Between Automatic and Manual. Territories get dispersed randomly with One troop on each then players place their remaining troops one at a time until they have none left.
Improve AI! Right now expert AI is super dumb which can be really annoying.

Add a super-balanced blitz option to make the dice fairer for that attacker and defender because a lot times the attacker will win and barely lose troops, I have seen that a lot of people are unhappy with balanced blitz.

Bring a premium role to this server for those that have bought premium mode so they can show their support to the game. You could do something like having to set up the same in game and discord name and then the person could send a screenshot of his main menu that shows unlimited tokens.
Ofcourse, this is just my suggestion, it can be implemented in any way the mod/support team think is the right way to do it but it would be great to have a premium role

Hide rank etc. Until end of game. It’s an invasion of privacy and super annoying having novices always just suicide into GMs / masters. Causes high ranking players to not ever play with all levels of players. Hurts the whole game.
hello. I've bought a premuim, and I find myself waiting for 10, 15 minues each time for the game to get populated, meaning, I'm waiting for nothing, and time in money. I know there are many games in the lobby to be fullfilled, but I have no idea how they are stacked. And if it takes 10, 15 minutes for my created games turn, I find it very dissappointing. So I've got a suggestion. Can you split users in many groups, and offer many different versions of the lobby seemlesly to users, so that games do get fullfilled on a faster pace. As I see some games getting full quickly, but then some of mine are waiting for 15 minutes. Very annoying for a game that supposedly has alot of active players.

have all settings listed in a PWF lobby. Currently fog, blizzards, ai difficulty, alliances, and dice rolls are missing. This way when someone posts SS in looking for game with code it has all info needed that you can see about GD lobbies
add provisional rank like in chess that has double the k factor to get noob's skill points to match their actual skill faster. The provisional period should be like 6 or 7 wins or so, and they are only allowed automatch vs other provisional players. Then after the provisional period is up, they can play normal lobby GD games and their new rank will match their SP. So if they are really good their rank title could jump from provisional to master at the end of the 7ish games won provisional period. This can help prevent sniping since new accounts will need larger amount of required games, and reduce the amount of brand new players getting obliterated and taken advantage of by vets until they get some practice under their belts which should help with player retention.
if noobs rank points should drop below 990, they should not reward points during a loss to an opponent as if they are 990 rank points. This allows for rank points to be essentially farmed from novices that should be worse than 990, but give up way more points than they should.
A stat on player profiles of unluckiest battle lost, and luckiest battle won, e.g. ‘20vs2, 1%’

The Arabic community is huge for this game and a lot of them don’t speak English we want Arabic language in the game

Instead of Zombies being a separate game mode, make it possible to add zombies to every game mode just like a regular bot. Additionally it would be nice to set AI difficulty per bot instead of a global setting which applies to all bots. So when adding a bot you should be able to choose it's difficulty and if it's a zombie bot or not. That way you could even add multiple zombie bots to one game.
Add the colour black as an option to choose for your avatar. Maybe throw in a couple additional colours such as white or dark grey, etc.

Show players in-game how many skill points they have, and how many they gained/lost after each game.
This information is already available in the web version of the leaderboard, so SMG definitely has this data.
Being able to see your underlying points makes it much easier to track progress, than comparing yourself to other players through rank, because other players are constantly moving too.

Stop Novices playing Grandmasters ranked
can we have spectate mode back in friendly games. I undestand why it is removed from ranked games but if you are playing friendly games you want to see how the game goes on after you were killed.
Bring back the old lobby X's position in lobby when you want to kick people. It was much easier to remember and easier to use, the left - bottom corridor, while the right - top corridor doesn't work well for player's habits, making them to dislike it. It's just one of those stuff that you just leave in the game for a LONG time, everyone gets used to it and likes it, but then you suddenly change it, so yea, bring it back, because a lot of people already dislike the new one!
Add 30 and 45 second timers for players who want shorter games (sometimes there are players who take the whole 60 seconds to make their moves every single turn, and if there are a lot of them, then the game really drags out). I see no problem in adding them, because people who prefer to take their time will still be able to use longer timers for their games, while people who want shorter games will choose to play with shorter timers.

Be able to make any avatars the greyed out ?, not just the one offered in the premium pack.
Being able to blitz troops with 1 or 2 dices or both, other than just with 3. That way, you wouldn't actually need to depend on manual rolls that much, except in small troop ratios (such as attacking with 2 or 3 troops only). This will also bring a LOT more variarity in gameplay, especialy in attacking aspect of it!
Add a game timer so players can see how long they have been in a match for. This could be located in the battle log.
Play History
Have a play history on players profile: Wich games they played (setting) and with who (by clicking on it), and also the positions.
Like you would see a list with only: "date"-"name of the map"- "your position (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th) (including bots)".
And when you click on it, you could see detailled setting, the name of the players, wich ones was a bot and their positions
If you want an idea on how it would look like, there is a similar thing in StarCraft 2, where you have a list of all games you played (date-name of the game-mode-victory/defeat), and by clicking on it, you can see the setting, the stats and the players.
2v2's
Every month there are dozens of popular ideas here for improved player stats and better records of games played.
However essentially none of these are implemented, as it’s more profitable to just keep making more maps.
This problem could be resolved by offering a Premium Stats package in the store, for the same price as a map pack, and filling it with valuable content based on popular player suggestions.

Allow people to cancel an alliance request, this would help in games of fog of war if you allied someone a long time ago so they cannot use it to their advantage and see your territories or others territories when you don't want them to.
I can not think of how many times I wish I could click to ping a territory for a player, would make communicating 100% better
Require an email, or any other social account (Steam, GameCenter, Facebook, Discord etc.) to be connected to a Risk account before it can play ranked games.
This would make it harder for Grandmasters to have 20+ noob accounts, making the rank system fairer
new rankings and their thresholds in ratings. I'd also suggest making it mean something for their ability to win in a 6 player game, with generals being able to win 2 out of 3 games vs officer, whereas other officers obviously winning 1 out of 6 games vs each other. Also implementing a temp rank called recruit who starts at 1000, but has gains or loses twice the normal amount until they are an established player, at which time they will graduate and get their "true" rank.
I would like to recommend a game mode for Risk, I played Risk Legacy the board game just the other day and it's the funnest version of Risk I've ever played. I would recommend looking into a Risk mode like it. It would be a lot of work to do probably but it would be awesome!
Since there is a an obvious attempt to hide players skill both pre and mid-game, that applies to both free and paid players. Don't you thing it's fair that paid players should not be forced to have a banner that automatically "outs them" as someone who is invested and probably knowledgeable in the game to avoid being ganged up on? If you want Anon games where everyone has the same intel about each other, how about you let us remove the leaves off the banner? Seems absurdly obvious to me.

Often a lot of hosts are waiting at the same time for players to join their very similar lobbies.
Have an option when you’re hosting a lobby, to be notified when someone else opens up a lobby with identical map and settings, so you can choose to join theirs if noone’s joining yours
Middle East map. Could be a pack maybe (?) - many cool scenarios & possible maps. There could be a map of the middle east (excluding NA), one could be made for the Levant (Syria, Lebanon, Israel/Palestine, Jordan), one could be made for the gulf for instance. So many possibilities.
A friend streamed a capital conquest game that went on for hours and they had more than 20k troops each. When they took a capitala then it was impossible to move enough troops back using the slider because you only have a certain amount of time. If you could type in number of troops you want to move it would be simpler
Being able to continue a game on an other device
It would be nice if, using the same account, we could continue our game on an other device. Like if we are playing on PC, then we need to move, we could continue the game on our phone. Then once we are back in a place with a pc, we could continue back on pc.
We would just have to start and their would be a : would you like to rejoin the match you were in? wich would rejoind the game and auto-leave on the other device (so you can't be on the same game with 2 devices).
It would allow to switch for the device that is best according to your situation (if you are in one place or you are walking/ running or just arrived in a suitable place, or if you are playing on the phone, but you need to use your phone, without losing turns, etc.)
There needs to be a way to flag suicide players. I'm noticing that there are players who's only purpose is to help one player win. It would be nice to be able to flag them so that when they join my game I can eject them.
Compose more Epic music in Risk, other than just some 2 bland soundtracks (I highly reccomend Epic Music World songs, since they have a lot of heroic/war type of stuff). That way, users can even choose which soundtrack they want to listen to within the game, rather than just being forced to listen to 2 particular ones, which they might not like anymore, because of boredom and other stuff.

A draw option for stalemates, where everyone left in the lobby agrees to a draw, and they split the rank points.
Make the RISK bots self learning like chess bots so that they beat humans

SMG should get more staff to help fix issues faster and new maps could be added later after issues are fixed. Spend money to improve the game with new game updates. SMG should pay more attention to the communities ideas.
Add two leaderboards - a 1v1 leaderboard and a multiplayer leaderboard.
This idea links back to 3), where 1v1s amongst other gamemodes are suggested and also to 2) and system in place there.
Map creation option for premium members.
Make it offer-able to normal players so it isn't apremium exclusive - it could cost 10 or 20 tokens per session or a couple of dollars for the full thing. Credit to @old sigil for the base idea.

Eliminate player filters when creating your own lobby. All lobbies should autofilter to +/- 1 rank, so Experts can host master and intermediate while GM could only host as low as master.
Add info about maps within map selection or within lobby or both
Will also be great if someone from SMG made an article on their website or other source about the info on all of the maps currently available, since no one actually made a single wiki info about it at ALL. So yea, this game needs some legit info at this point, to improve player's decisions on which map they like almost instantly, other than just going full blind mode (especially noobs, who started playing this game recently). Change the wording for player/account ID back to how it was before 2.8. Now, both the ID found in the friends tab AND the settings are called player ID, whereas before the one in the settings was the account ID. Calling them the same things causes confusion
Improving the game before adding more maps
Maps are fun, but premium feel less and less premium, since SMG seem to focus only on maps and not on the game. Better stay free players and buy maps then buying premium.
It would be nice if, before adding maps as the main goal of an update, make the games better (lot of ideas are posted each days for months to help know what could be wanted) so people would want to play it more (free/ premium), and make premium more interesting (it just feel like a map pack way more expansive).
More players for big map
As small map as a suggested number of players (better with 3-4 players, etc.), it would be nice if big map would allow more then the usual 6 players (wich was thinked for 42 territories map). We could still play with 6, but we could add more slots, like in Earth 2209, for example (wich is more then 2 times as big as the classic one) for a big epic game on a big epic map

Being able to unlock different patterns for your territories. I think this would be something that could be unlockable in game or through buying the map packs. .
Hotkey for skipping phase and to show cards
Right now, we got Enter hotkey, arrow hotkey and T, C and S for the info.
It would be nice to have a hotkey to show cards (not where are the territory of the cards, but the cards themselves, to see if we have a trio, wich kind and to trade)
And an other hotkey to skip the placement phase once it's over (and auto-skip if you have no set and already placed your troops). And the same hotkey to skip attack phase once finish, and to finish the turn.

Add in a search bar option in the map selection!
That way users can actually just search (type in) the map they want to play and not have to scroll a lot for no reason. Would be really useful if you have a TON of maps already and you are already 2 lazy to even bother scrolling for that specific map you want to play at that specific time.
The musket men figures in game when you roll dice are really cool. But I think it would be cool to have figures that look different like elves zombies ninjas and stuff that you can buy, just a cosmetic item that will make the game different and to flex on ppl with haha.
Map Filters
As said before, we might want to play specifics map or avoid some maps. But we might want to play more than 1 specific maps.
Like, if we want to play 10 specific maps at the moment, it would be nice to have a map filter where we can select all maps we want to see from the 58 (or select "Select all" to select the 58 at once).
Showing us the maps we don't want won't make us play. It just make 50 more useless lobby, wich lose 50 more seconds, wich is more than not being premium and watching an ad. We shouldn't lose time, by having good and complete filters.
Same as the opposite: If we are open to most maps except some, we could select all 58 maps, and then unselect the ones we didn't like. Showing those maps is just losing time. (And this is one of the reason people take premium too: not losing time (a 10 seconds ad)).
So a complete filter would be nice, so :
Separate leaderboards for 1v1, and Free-for-all games
Chat system in Game lobby and in post game screen as option
So yea, main thing is, the game will at least have just a bit of communication, not when your playing, but before you are gonna play. Can also talk about other topics in game, potencial is great, just need to know how to implement it.
**Again, note: **I don't mean chat system when your playing in the game, I mean within the game screen and game lobby sides. Just to be clear!

So yea, would greatly appreciate if SMG starts to pump up those chat expressions in their game after all of this time. Players are really un-patient at this point, for a really good reasons. Just isn't good to do this chat expression contents if your just gonna add one chat expression out of like 10 minimum in a duration span of 5+ months. Just to be clear!

Bring back Spectate mode in Play with Friends mode and Un-ranked Global Domination
As much as I respect your decision of removing it from Ranked games, it isn't acceptible to remove it from Un-Ranked matches and Play with friends mode. People just have the need to spectate those games, since they want to know how it ends and besides, no one gets points and ranks towards it, since it's it isn't Ranked at ALL.
So yea, bring that back into the desired options for the game, it's totally fine for Ranked, but for Un-Ranked, nope. Hope this gets fixed as fast as possible, since people are annoyed about it already.

It's a hot mess trying to find out if something has been suggested and multiple suggestions... a lot of the things are years old and topics are just random and everywhere! Can there not be one central location with the ideas that smg actually would consider and one centralized place to vote. All I wanted was for spectator mode to be available for fog games especially in friends mode, but also think for global games to catch cheaters. It took over an hour looking through shit and it's frustrating.

This would be great for playerbase to keep their interest into the game, since every time some Special Event can happen and add-in new stuff in the game, players can just work for it, acquire it and then use it in the game as a ''deserved'' reward and not all ''payment'' method stuff.
Will boost the fun into the game unto another level as well, since players won't feel like they need to pay for more stuff for the game anymore so much, since it won't be just payment for Map packs and emotes, rather than in-game acquirable rewards. Hope we see something like this soon, because it's been used in almost any BIG game out there as of rn. Should be a feature somewhere that shows you a history of who you have played with as you can just get auto banned from world dom if you happen to play with someone more than once. This can only be countered remembering everyone you have played in order not to play them again.
auto filtering lobbies based on player rating points. Such that you can match up with players no lower than 3/4th of you or no higher than 4/3rds of you for example. This helps match players of equal skill in games to provide a better matchmaking experience. This will help new players not face impossible competition and improve their retention to continually build the player base.

This mechanic would really improve the game, since a lot of noobs are really slow in the game and just don't know how to turn off camera animations at first, so would be interesting if they just receive some kind of automatic system for their Manual rolling, to make it even more interesting and for them to not run off out of time, while not doing much in the game.

Keep classic for 1v1’s in the new automatch update
Classic is the only free map and most people use it for 1v1’s and I think it would work well with the new update. I play classic caps with masters and grandmasters and I got to 13th so this shows that it would work well with high-ranked players. I also know people like @glossy pewter who plays classic wd and is currently in the top 40.
when the automatch update comes, instead of removing 1v1s entirely or partially from RANKED mode, create 2 leaderboards (a MULTIPLAYER leaderboard and a 1v1 leaderboard) all under the new automatch rank system.
Under automatch, players must have to beat similar ranked opponents. Players will already have the option to gain rank playing the MULTIPLAYER mode. However, if a 1v1 leaderbiard were created, players would still have the option of playing 1v1 to climb the proposed 1v1 leaderboard.
A Single-Player campaign with a story, where you complete each mission to unlock the next
Allow players to open up Play with Friends lobbies to strangers.
This would be handy for filling up tourney practices and casual games.
It would also reduce inadvertant cheating, since a lot of noobs cheat by playing friends in ranked, because they can’t fill a game with friends otherwise.
A 'Please attack/I will attack/Don't attack' chat function for alliances

Why? Well, a lot of the new users simply forget to set it up on their Risk acc and just get it lost in the void, without being able to access it anymore. That's why it would be great to just have it saved on your social profiles, especially since a lot of new users just create their acc with social profiles (mostly Steam) and they think they can access that acc again, without those Risk info, but they can't, since the system doesn't allow it. Would be great if SMG allows it somehow, to make the sign in much easier and way less complex than it should be!
Also, would be great if the users can get notified about their acc decisions, like, puting some kind of warning if you make the acc on Socials, it should tell you that you need Risk info (email and password) input as well, to not get your acc lost for no reason. I'm saying this because a lot of them end up complaining either here or somewhere else, that they didn't know that they can't access their without Risk info unto their profiles. So yea, make it a little bit more informative for them. If possible!

More settings and/or modes for private-lobbies. Our group recently purchased premium and we will continue playing as we enjoy this rendition of risk (best one out there imo), but we would love to diversify our settings every now and then and it kind of lacks options. This would also present a nice way of monetisation as we do not intend to purchase mappacks (we don't see the value there, personally). But we already discussed that we for sure would buy "expansions" where new modes/settings are enabled.
More player colours
These could include pink, lilac, dark blue, white, black, silver, bronze and rainbow
add new music options to listen while playing
include an in-game duration timer to show us how long the game has taken. This can be shown in the battle log
Add compatibility for Linux. The game is currently inaccessible to Linux users, including me and @soft burrow. Given that Linux has no negligible market share I think it is quite important.

When the new update comes, only small maps will be allowed to be played ranked in 1v1. This means that the only free map we currently have now, Classic, will not be able to be used. In case Classic is not going to be excluded from this rule, it would be good to have another free map for 1v1s only. This could be Simple World, as it is not only a great map but it is a simplified version of Classic. Alternatives could be France or Brazil.
Add opt-in in game chat. You will not see chat unless you enable it at any point in the game. Also add whispering between players.
Do not allow players to join their friends' ranked lobbies.
Since playing ranked with friends is considered a reason to get banned, it is a good idea not to show ranked games hosted by friends. If somebody joins a lobby which their friend also has, they should be prevented from joining.

Make a ticket-opening system in-game.
This is a long-term feature which could be added to the backlog of the developers. The current system for reporting players/bugs cannot be used very easily. For example, there should be a couple more fields for bug reporting like OS and device. Moreover, users should have access to this menu after the game has finished.
If two players remain and one player goes offline for longer than 20 minutes, award victory to the online one. Bot-player stalemates that go on into infinity and, if the bot wins, will count as a ranked win for the offline player, is just no fun.
A feature where you can sign out your risk account on all devices so it unhooks up with steam and so you can link it up with different and you can log into a different steam account

Especially for filling lobbies with high rank opponents, it can take a long time to fill, and oftentimes you can be doing something else while waiting for it to fill, and make players wait too long when the match could have started. I have also had to leave too many matches where the host did not start the match for many minutes after their lobby filled. I am aware that this would lead to a vibration anytime the lobby fills, but I think that would be worthwhile for the notification.
in addition to introducing a handful of new colors, let players unlock a color wheel through various achievements
when players reach game 2000 they are rewarded with a game with one of the Developers.

Add a banner type icon when you complete all of the achievements in the game, so that it looks more rewarding and perhaps more banner type of icons for other stuff as well (such as reaching Top 500 milestone, Top 100 in the leaderboard etc...). This will make players feel more satisfied, as it gives a special type of medals for Honor in certain categories of your game!
For lack of a better term, a "Risk TV" feature. Once ranked automatch only comes, people have the option to watch in on top player's games (perhaps from the home screen) to see and hopefully learn from them. This would only apply to non-fog of war games.

Way to reward great players in your game with in-game rewards (such as Map packs, new emotes, beta stuff etc...).
Great players example would be those that hold Top 10 for over a month+. Those that are active and supportive in Discord community and have good enough reputation. Also the ones reached a certain milestone (such as Top 100) with 4 - 6 player games, which is incredibly hard on it's own.

The current zombie scenario doesn't do much to introduce the concept of zombies. If you verify someone on Risk, for reaching Top 100 for example and that specific person doesn't have any platform referencing, that he can be known/find on. Then make it separate icon, without Platform referencing, so that it makes it clear why and because of WHAT, that person got verified. Like this, everyone thinks the person got verified for existing on Risk, example, Rock Macho 34 (which you can't find anywhere on Discord, yet he has a Discord icon Platform reference). Makes a joke out of your verification badges.

Emotes for the Shop. Would also be great if you can earn them from some tasks in game, secret missions for example and not just Amazon Prime, where plenty of people can't even afford it. Like, I see it as a restriction of earning those new emotes already. Amazon Prime restricts me since I can't even pay properly in there, because of my Country and since I didn't yet migrated to using digital $ currency for it. The current ranking system (decreasing number of points according to finishing position) creates a terrible perverse incentive. Once the #1 player became big enough, most player dont unite to fight him anymore. Rather, they will compete between small fish on being the best pet to #1, hoping him to eliminate them last. The reason is of course that finishing #2 is better than finishing #3 or #4.
From now on, any player who dare to stand against #1 (and hoping other will unite) will not only get shredded by #1, but other pets will HELP #1 in this process.
IMHO This behavior is anti-play at its best.

Clearer labelling when you tap on a bot’s profile of whether that bot contributes towards rank.
E.g. ‘I was added to the game as a pure bot, so my placement does not affect rank points at all’
Or ‘I’m a player who lost internet connection, so if my bot defeats you, I’ll still take your points’

Alongside this have a help icon that shows the skill point boundaries for each rank, so players know how they’re doing.

I think it would be nice to get a confirm pop up when leaving a game you are spectating. I tried to open the settings menu by hitting escape while watching my ally avenge my death, but instead of opening the menu it took me out of the game. Reason: Sometimes it's hard to see whether I won/lost because of luck or strategy. This would help me see that better.
Example:. If I did 10 3-vs-2 attacks where I was supposed to lose 7.5 on average, but I lost a total of 9, then the value is -2.5. In Blitz dice rolls, each roll is calculated separately.

Would be awesome not attacking your allies. People ask everyone alliance so they can chat in private (and see entire map in fog-of-war). But they don't respect the alliance most of the time. Which means the point of alliance dissapears.
If not being allowed attacking an ally, no one would ever propose alliance to everyone. It sucks that alliance means only pushing your allies fight each other (sending everyone in privat to attack the other).
A PROBLEM: you won't be allowed taking a 1 troop region from your ally (even if he is ok with that). That's true. That's why you can be allowed attacking your ally regions if they have 1 single troop. So your ally should move their troops (if has 2+ troops there).
More than that, you will be forced thinking more. You can't propose alliance if you 2 are in Australia (as example) and you want it. Because you won't be able to attack your enemy. Choosing alliances will be a real strategic decision (not only a way for private chat).
And of course, the alliance of last 2 players are automatically disabled.
Probably my proposal doesn't cover any situation. I am sure you can cover them all if you want.

I made a Map of the Yugoslav Wars of 1991-2001. This map is missing in the game. Since it was a relative recent conflict, I thought it might be relevant for Risk. I also saw a lot of requests for a Croatia map but I did not think that Croatia would be that interesting on its own. I am sure that adjustments should be made to make the map more balanced (regarding territories and territorial bonuses). Feedback is welcome , if not necessary.

Fix all of the bugs and issues persistent in this new update. (Example: Bug where your stack disappears if you attack 2 fast, Bug in the Leaderboard where if you pass someone in rank, General Biscuit shows up - mostly notable in Top 10, Issues with codes not working on IOS and stuff like that, Friend ID problems as well etc...). People have complained also on certain connection issues throughout their games, so worth checking that out as well. Also, Remove those damn Beginner and Novices at the Top of the Leaderboard, which was caused by multiple bugs in calculating Skill points or what not, PLEASE, it's getting annoying now. Like 4 of them were at the Top of the leaderboard this past 2 weeks. Thank you, that's all!

Bring back custom colours for Avatars as it used to be. It's pointless to change something that no one asked for in the first place, so why not just keep that old feature of your colour selection changing to your avatar as well, people would be more pleased about it. I really don't know why you decided to just paint it out of nowhere... it's just dumb tbh.

Re-name the current colors to standard style (Examples: Azure - Sky Blue, Pineapple - Bright Yellow or just Yellow, Mocha - Brown, Carrot - Orange, Bubble Gum - Pink, Scarlet - Red, Charcoal - Black, Porcelain - White and for other future colors that are gonna be released).
It can get easily confused in game while in Alliance with someone. Example, if someone wants you to attack an Azure player, they can miss-understand it as Olympic (Normal Blue color) and attack other player, just because of that and other stuff like that, so it's just bad overall and when you request an attack to your ally on that color, it looks like this: ''Please attack the Azure Player'', just doesn't look good in game.
It'll definitely be more easier to play if you re-name it to standard style, not all colors, but most of them.

being able to create our own nickname within risk without needing to use our Google play, itunes or Facebook names. I know it can be sometimes hard to monitor but if they name really offends someone people can/could report the player for it. Add a minimum time limit before games can be launched after someone leaves/joins. Right now it's too easy to 'trick' players into joining a game which is just AIs since it shows up as 5/6, and then remove all of the AIs and instantly start the game. People use this to rank up to GM fast by winning 1v1s against unsuspecting opponents.

I think this was probably on response to complaints about the (old) updated color system, but you guys are completely missing the problem. The amount of colors isn't the problem, it's how fast you can click through them. It currently takes 1.5 seconds to wait to have to click again. It's ridiculous. Let the user click as fast as they want. Human being are inherently good at memorizing stuff like this and will learn to skim through very quickly. I don't want to have to slowly click 7 times over the course of 10 seconds, I want to spam click to the one I want. Fix the click time.
Tl;dr: bring back the old [good] array of colors and just update the click time

Sometimes I would deliberately trick people into thinking I already got 5/6 players, when 4 are bots, then I slowly exchange bots with incoming players as they trickle in. I reckon others may be doing the same thing. Prevent this, and even when somebody honestly wants to play online with bots, make sure others can see in the pre-selection screen how many bots are in the game.

Rename “Kyushu & Okinawa” to “Kyushu” on the Japan map. The region is named that by Japan because it includes Okinawa prefecture. The “Kyushu & Okinawa” continent in the game does not, so would more appropriately be named “Kyushu” to reflect that it does not extend outside that island

Feature Idea: When a Play Friends lobby is full or the game is ongoing and someone outside the game/lobby puts in the game code, they get to spectate the game.
Challenge to Implementation: Creating the view where you are in a lobby but not participating, making the logic to connect that view to go straight to the spectate view in the game, and reworking any safety checks (e.g. the amount of players in the game matches the amount that were in the lobby upon the game starting, amount of players on sub-server for game cannot exceed 6).

When you're in a lobby and when you click on someone's stats, please have an option to enable/disable customisationfor them and yourself in it and in game or in-game options menu (probably a much better and easier option), so it has effect on friends list and** leaderboard as well and not just lobby and in game** with those players. It's often distracting having to view that while you just want to see someone's standard stats in the game or just your stats and not view the player's colour, dice, troops and stuff like that all the time. When the game is taking so long, troops' size gets bigger and bigger. Moving large troops between territories is taking some time. Maybe after troop size exceeds some number (?) 1/3, 1/2, 1/4 shortcuts might be a good option additionally. What do you think?

time limit on how long you can create a game before it automatically disbands game if not started: player Fiery Trump 30 routinely create a game and then never starts it. I have observed him do this dozens of times, wasting other players time as they wait for him to start not knowing that he likely will not. Have sometimes notice him him/her do this for hours. provide a slider when deploying single troop so that you can bqck out and select a different territory if it's a missclick. Currently you can do that for deploying more than 1 troop. But say you deploy 5 of your 6, then when you try clicking on a different stack for the 6th troop, it may register the territory next to it, and you are SOL. No take backs on deploying a single troop.

Add a Colour Wheel option, which basically enables you to choose whichever colour is currently available in the lobby, that isn't chosen by other players. This will make things WAY easier in switching between other colours, especially if it's a long clicking process to get to that specific colour you want in the lobby. Think about it!

Implement a Search bar system for Friends list!
This will basically help you to find your friend's name **MUCH **easier, rather than scrolling aimlessly trying to find the right Capital letter, which isn't even organised in category of Capital letters... This is especially bad if you have a lot of friends and you can't find that one you need, so you waste at least 2 min of your time for nothing trying to find that friend or multiple ones.
Can also sort out the names in Capital letters from the whole friend list, so that it looks organised and easier to use, since then you can only search that name from the Capital letter category, if you want to find your friend even easier.
This is simply a quality of life improvement for the game, which can give a lot easier interface for your users in the game. That's it, Good luck!

In my opinion ranks don't mean much about a player's skill level.
Someone's rank can be inflated by 1v1's with total noobs, or they might exclusively play multiplayer fixed and suck at the other game modes.
I have 2 different solutions for the problem. I'll suggest both of them here.
1. Make ranks for each kind of settings.
Example: I'm a grandmaster at 1v1's, but I'm only a begginer at multiplayer fixed.
You could even make it more specific, for example:
I'm a high rank at fixed cards in world domination, but I suck at fixed cards with zombies.
2. In order for people to get a certain rank they need to prove they're well rounded, so my suggestion is to give them a minimum of win loss ratio they need to pass in every game mode or settings, and then they can get to the next rank. If their win loss ratio gets worse, they'll go down the ranks.
Example: I want to be a grandmaster. I already have above 45% win loss ratio in multiplayer fixed and above 85% win loss ratio in 1v1's, but I still haven't reached the 60% win loss ratio needed in multiplayer progressive.
Bonus Suggestion: In multiplayer games, make the winner the only one who can ever gain points. The fact that players can gain points from getting second encourages suicides, because in a 3 player situation one of the players can suicide on someone else and they'd still gain points, therefore they get rewarded for suiciding.

Mobile Risk
In progressive games (includes tourneys) Mobile players are put at a disadvantage against the time, compared to PC steam players who can place all their troops with a press of a key on the keyboard.
You can still do well with mobile but without a button or mechanic to allow a player to skip the splitting troops phase after attacking a territory it becomes game changingly slow.
You can take out player and get more time but with personal experience that’s where the downfall off the game comes, I can take out a player get more time, get their cards take out another player, but still run out of time because how long it takes to kill a player even if I have the troops to do it, than unfortunately lose because other opponents trade in their cards right after.
I believe this can be a quick fix with a toggle on and off botton on the same screen when ready to roll/blitz dice, that will automatically place all your troops down after an attack (most likely a blitz) allowing the player to be able to blitz right after a blitz.
I believe this would help balance across platforms, for people such as myself who can’t afford a pc or a steam compatible console, because a game isnt as cheap as it sounds if you don’t have the platform. It would also be a game mechanic the players CAN use but don’t HAVE to use , so what would be the harm 🙂 (sorry programmers not to make you’re life difficult 😂)

Add Guilds to your game. Players can join "guilds" and play to win in each specific "season" of Risk. For each season there can be a time for players to compete against other teams (guilds) in order to try and accumulate the most points at the end of each season and win for their team's guild.

If you have an alliance with someone, you should be able to communicate with them better with more chat messages to send. There should be an option to tell your ally “please attack South America” or any other continents

People haven very limited options when sending chat expressions. There should be more chat expressions. Like “Why?” And “Why do you want to fight!?” There is a text channel for that already, I just think there should be more chat expressions

When someone fails to act on their turn they get a warning notification and become a bot if they don't respond.
In the same way, issue a warning notification and then automatically close online lobbies if the owner does not respond if the owner has not made any input in (~20min). I have seen many people accidentally keep the same lobby up for over an hour. Players join and wait until the lobby becomes full, but end up leaving because the owner fails to start the game. Then the cycle repeats again.

Something to prevent, in very late games(so much so as winning), having to sit and be trapped at the mercy of your opponent’s well.. boredom. Stacking like 150 troops in 2 territories surrounding youre lil 10 or 15 that was originally a 1 but you’ve just been sitting there With nothing better to do but collect your 3 troops.
Perhaps auto calculate when the game is in the end game phase with 1 player excessively dominating against whoever else, and calculates that the game could be over with all 100% blitz rolls and the trapped players with less than 20% blitz chance against available territory to attack
If the game gets to the point perhaps first give the dominating player a notice that Hey you can win the game right now!
If they it’s there turn for like 2-3 more times maybe give them a warning
Hey this game should be over now, let’s not waste everyone’s time you have however many turns (3 maybe) to finish to game or not be awarded any coins, or not be awarded any rank points for this game or whatever seems best fit for punishment
I wouldn’t necessarily go thru all the work of making it so they can’t just keep stacking troops and makes it end the game instant but rather if they do, make it punishable or reportable after they’ve been giving the warnings we don’t wanna assume everyone’s the bad guy. I think it take a different breed of toxic to ignore warnings

(this is an expansion on sterlings train of thought, read #nr_bot_commands ) i should start with saying these should only work in the pwf or single player game-types. have the ability to start matches with way more customizers. For example modifying each players starting troop count or preselecting where troops are placed on the board beforehand. You could even add a feature to increase the total cards you can hold at once or make it so the game actually lets you be on teams like people have suggested with the 2v2 ideas, but to expand why not any number vs any number. So you could have one person start with 50 troops vs 5 people with 10 or something wild like that. Could be amazingly fun to do. Even if not perfectly balanced. Which is why i suggest only pwf.

okay so before the update, I’m sure I’m not the only one who did this, but I would turn on colorblind assist just to see different matches with different colors ya know just to make it different.
But after the update here is what changed, if you have colorblind on you don’t get to cycle you’re color of option, it’s just what position you joined in the game.
Just because they are colorblind doesn’t mean they don’t see colors.. why don’t they get they get the option to chose what visually pleases what they see the most..

Make Fog of War pure! Stop giving players cheats in fog by telling them every player's troop intake. Anyone worth while can infer with solid accuracy who is where and holds what from this information. Real Fog should not divulge such valuable insight. The suspense will be increased for sure and alliances will become a much more major and valuable tool. Fog is supposed to be suspenseful, unpredictable, and just wild. Or if people really want to keep the cheat, add another settings option where we can control what information is revealed. In fact while we're on the matter, in fog of war should we really be notified if a player/bot died? Unless we are allies that seems like another cheat.

The player stat pages could use a little update. I love seeing wins, losses, streaks, and even troop stats. The dice roll one is redundant and boring though. I think there could be other stats, like “most commonly controlled continent” or “the color that has conquered/been conquered by you the most”, or even “largest single army ever amassed”. There’s much more exciting stats to pull than dice rolls, which should be the same for everyone.

A second connecting path on a 2nd 'River Town (Advanced)' so that there isn't a single bottleneck in capital mode that makes the game decided when someone captures one side of the map because this way there will be a 2nd path to the other side. The current map is one of my favorites, but capitol mode games go alot faster than they would if games couldn't be decided by who captures the bridge bottleneck capitol. A 2nd advanced River Town map would be extremely inexpensive to create (just add a 2nd bridge between Merchant and Fishing District, or up top) and it would feel like a whole new map with new game dynamics.

daily deals for gems are nice, get a lil discount off gems, but than too wait 3 days in “customization” for new items and there isn’t any type of deal for them just seems like a long time. Maybe 2days would be better if you still want to keep it longer than daily deals, but I feel like it should be less time than daily deals, like every 12hours you get a reset of items still at their set cost. So they’d be more expensive if you didn’t wait for daily deals, but gives more options in 1 day to get accessories, that’s more gems being spent more money to make for smg, and better luck for people getting what they could be looking for and atleast 2 confirmed long ins to the game. I just feel if it’s not a special deal and your waiting 3days for items to reset at the highest price it comes what’s the point in even getting from there when In that 3 days daily deals resets 3 times and eventually it’ll pop up in daily deals for better, but if the time reset was quicker It would most likely persuade more people to get full priced items

instead of getting two gems for watching an AD start us of with one and every consistent day we get +1 but we stop getting +1 when we hit 10 gems a day and if we lose our streak / miss a day we restart all over again. this way getting items in the shop is a little more reasonable and you guys get more AD revenue because it would make more people want to watch the ADs. Also for premium members they are guaranteed 5 gems so they start off with 6 and cap out at 15. and if you’re feeling generous you can allow them to redeem their streak if they missed ONE day but not TWO but they can only do this once a week so it isn’t abused.

Abolish the Host must meet the maximum ranking requirement. Meaning allow higher ranks to put caps on who can join the game even if they themselves are above that cap. For example, a GM should be able to cap the max rank at beginner. It will make noob farming so much easier. Noob Farming won't stop so you might as well not have us kicking each other out and save everyone's time. Just save everyone's time and abolish this regulatory burden!

Map editor. Map customizer. Like Tony Hawk Pro Skater games used to have. Let people buy 'map save slots' from 1 to N and provide a tool for drawing maps and indicating which places connect to where. Let the maps be saved client-side or server-side, whichever is more cost efficient. But let people create their own maps they can share (temporarily or permanently) with others who join them in games they host with their custom maps. Make a function that keeps players kicked from a lobby out for like 15 seconds. There are many reasons you may not want to play someone....you just played them or you know them from earlier....they are too low or high.....It is annoying when they keep joining your game every 2 secs and you have to manually kick them....at least time them out for 10 or 15 secs from rejoining the game....(I know we are probably not supposed to kick people but whatever)

Level the Playing Field. Come on. Let's make this game as much as about skill and not external boosts. Equalize attacking time across all platforms. Skill hardly matters especially in prog if you physically can attack 50% less then your opponent(s) who have special mouses or whatever. If your opponent has the ability to do so much more than you in one turn, that is plainly unfair. Don't we want our games decided by the ability of the players and not the abilities of their clicking tools? Sure currently the game is great for those entrenched players who have such a huge gap in attacking ability (regardless of skill) but for our ever growing community, we should work on giving everyone a fair shot at winning and competing. As we all know, attacking is an essential part of the game and crucial to winning. Do we really want this vital aspect of the game to be defined by not by skill and merit but by who can buy the best equipment? Revert the PC speed nerf The purpose of the nerf was to prevent the disappearing troops bug from occurring. However, the bug still persists, indicating that the reduction of attacking speed was a futile attempt. There are no other advantages of the nerf, so I believe it should be reverted

New update on the Daily Deals in Shop!. Please... stop puting the same Daily Deals items if someone already bought it a long time ago!
I understand having to repeat those same items in Daily deals for those that didn't actually bought them in the first place when it was available, that makes sense. What doesn't make sense though is constantly puting the same ones in Daily deals for those that bought them already AGES ago, like me. It's like you're trying to exploit your own users by wasting their time.
This really annoys those that actually bought a lot of stuff already from the Shop. This system is not okay. Just so you know!

In the Global Domination lobby, when a game is full, have a timer automatically start the game after 15-30 seconds, if the creator doesn't. I've had a few times now where a novice (or not so novice. Moneytre, I'm looking at you) just doesn't start the game. Everyone gets bored and quits the lobby, having wasted 5 minutes waiting for it to fill up. It's annoying a.f.

New Avatars
Why not some avatars in the style of Allied Powers and NATO generals. For example a general with a commanders cap, a cigar and a pair of aviators, based off of Dwight Eisenhower, whilst not being the actual general but rather inspired by his uniform and some of his most notable features. We already have a general/avatar based off of the Kaiser and although it’s not Otto Von Bismarck there’s clearly an inspiration most notably with the helmet and moustache.

please when hosting in play with friends, give the game longer off app time. It makes it very difficult to host and switch to go to the discord when the game cancels in less than 3 seconds. Having to sit there going back and forth between discord and risk so the game doesn’t cancel because I’m trying to type and get people in the game. And than having to restart constantly.

Make an automatch (with its seperate leaderboard) for 1v1 games in which you would be matched with the players similar to your rank. It could be up to debate which settings/maps are good and which ones are bad, so to make it the most fair for everyone the settings and a map for the match are being selected by the player who is higher ranked. All players before entering the automatch have their pre-selected favorite settings to save the time. I think it would be the most fun and fair way to discover the best 1v1 players, as currently it seems that the top players are mostly playing with noobs and almost never get to play with each other in a ranked match.

Idea:
Create NPB/J-League draft-style wager UI as turn order Settings option. Each player has same number troops to wager and can put any number of troops in any of 1st-6th starting position pots
Goes from top-down or bottom-up with divvying turn order placement__ to whoever wagered most troops to that pot.__ Wagered amount is how many troops wager winning player begin first turn with as turn order bonus, replacing incrementing +1 bonus moving 4th through 6th through current order placements. Top-down is player wagering most in 1st placement pot removed from rest of pots first, already having their placement, continuing 2nd through 6th. Bottom-up is 6th pot resolved first and moving 5th through 1st.
All before or after placement (||could be a Setting ||.) Can put all troops in one well.
Recommended total troops to wager::
||ceiling of # of total available territories / # of players in game||
Hope for consideration! Game benefits from Settings additions, this being as simple as it can get— turn order’s currently immutable in Settings

Create a setting (not mode, since it’s comparable with all the other game modes) in which troops relocate. For example, at one point green has four troops in North America while red has 5 in Kamchatka, and at a later point, red’s 5 troops “teleport” to North Africa and orange troops end up in Kamchatka (with green troops elsewhere).
Relocations could occur either after each player’s turn or after one full round. This could also be randomized or have a certain pattern, but either way, it’ll require new strategies to think about. I would suggest letting players decide when and how troops relocate when setting up the game.

This will make it so you and your opponents and/or Friends (either in Play Friends or World Domination mode) can communicate to each other in lobby (Main purpose: Making sure everyone is ready and other fun stuff, such as posting emotes and teasing with each other before the initial game).
This will also fix that surprising factor of starting the game out of nowhere, when you are either not prepared for it yet or just doing something IRL).

As others have said before including me, please add in a 5, 10, or 15 sec timeout after a player has been kicked from a lobby (meaning said player cannot join the game and occupy a slot for said amount of time. It is highly irritating when there is player who for various reasons you do not want in your game keeps re-joining 1.5 secs after you kick them. Having a simple short timeout time after being kicked would be very useful.

Blocking feature in Risk!
Example:
You block someone in game, you shouldn't get that opponent in any of your Future games anymore, he shouldn't see your lobbies and can't communicate with you at all anymore, unless you un-block him (Basically something like Discord feature, similarly).
There should also be a list of blocked people within the layout of Risk as an option, to properly organise it.
Why? There's a lot of suiciding and collaboration within the game, so it definitely needs a blocking feature if you don't want to get that/ those same player/players.
It also decreases the rate of people giving up from the game. Should have been added AGES ago. A lot of common games have that as a feature, so it's really surprising how it is still not implemented after 5+ years of this game's existence. Muting doesn't help, as it's mainly emojis related.

In Map selection settings the list has become Santa's length of naughty children. I usually have to go through 3 times to find intended map. To down size make list of the Map packs. That open up to those 5 available maps. For less scrolling for us who just fly up and down the list not memorizing it

Could be just me, but I think people would respond well to having more cosmetics that make people feel 'unique', i.e. more Avatars, and perhaps Colours. I don't care about what my dice or troops look like, because that's not what I show off to other people. Frames are nice but not as recognisable as the avatars themselves. I like how I can see a Red Zapoleon and recognise that as Risk4Eva, or a Red Billy the Zed and recognise that as Buck, and I think people would enjoy having more combinations 🙂

Custom Play Friends Codes in Store
Pay a few dollars to choose your play with friends code for a year, and every time you host on your account that would be your code
E.g. I could pick STERL, Pete might want PETER and Spike might want SPIKE
Custom codes would be auto filtered to keep them family friendly
They’d be annual, so old inactive accounts wouldn’t be hogging all the best names
For players who host a lot, this could save time pasting codes, it would also make it easier for people to find the restarted game if someone didn’t ready up, plus it would look more COOOL 😂

Capitals should use two D8 instead of three D6. I got this idea from Pete, who plays like this on the board with his friends. I compared the odds of it vs current caps dice odds, and noticed there is very similar defense bonus. However, the high variance in current caps by having the third die is eliminated, and it's spread is much more similar to regular attacks. This will help reduce chances that caps get beat by smaller numbers due to the decreased variance but similarly high defenders bonus. On the flip side, it won't take quite as many troops to get to 100% BB odds bc the dice will be more consistent. So winning caps games won't be drug out as long waiting for the 100% hit.

A defunct Risk app Conquist used to have a really nice feature, which for every game gave you a line graph of how many troops each player had each turn (their line was in their colour)
I always though it’d be cool to add this to risk, but have a second dotted line on top, indicating the average value of their hand of cards at the current trade value
For prog it’d be really interesting to see the jumps up and down in troop and card counts during fast late game
And for fixed/caps, to see the gradual snowball/decline of players

Allow for mixed modes like 70% Zombies. Just have either mode’s win condition end the game, or make both have to be fulfilled if it feels worth giving that as a setting option.
Adding this should be as simple as overriding a few checks that would prevent certain bugged attacks from appearing in certain modes because of them being abnormal in them, but normal in a mixed mode. Beyond that, just debugging, but that’s just play testing for you all.
If worried about complaints if bad mixes were done, just decide for yourselves what those bad mixes would be and flash a huge ⚠️ about it not being likely to be fun. They’d have been warned, and most of the begging for new game modes would die down for quite a while for little effort here.

Add the ability to 'swipe blitz'. The idea is that you click on the territory you want to attack from and then swipe a path through the territories you want to attack. The game will then proceed to blitz through all those territories until either a) you lose a blitz attack or b) you reach the final territory in the path. This should help to speed up certain periods in games like towards the end of games

I am pleased with all the work smg has been doing recently to balance the game. They have truly made some remarkable strides. However there is still more work to be done, which is why I suggest further decreasing the speed on mobile devices. Before the recent nerf on mobile, there were plenty of people calling for a reduction in speed, but smg did not take it far enough. It is still possible for bad pc players to lose to good mobile players on large maps, so a further decrease in mobile speed or increase in pc speed is needed to make the game fair again. Who else agrees?

Personal experience: I play Risk mostly on mobile and the decrease in speed for mobile has significantly put me in disadvantage against PC players. Previously, I could have captured the biggest of the biggest maps in 1 turn or get close at least. However, I am no longer able to do that. I have lost so many games that involve 70% or in 1v1 situations due me not being fast enough against PC players. I am guaranteed to lose a game against a good PC player, which most are, whenever taking territories are involved. It has discouraged me from playing the game a couple times already. There was no reason to decrease the speed really, I liked the skill level before when it was even. You could have gotten better in attacking speed on both platforms. Practice was the key, however, even with practice, I will lose against PC players 100%. In the next upcoming FFA tournament. I am at a disadvantage as well, as some of the settings such as 70% domination involve taking territories. Against good smart PC players, I don’t stand a chance. Thank you! Would be much appreciated if you guys can consider this.

combine some already made game modes, like zombie and 70%. It would be a really fun game mode, and would be ideal for people who want even quicker zombie games. 😊
2v2, 3v3 and real war scenarios game modes. My idea for “real war scenarios” is there are 4 or 6 people in a game, and are divided equally by both teams and they are randomly assigned. Take WW2 for example, one team can be the axis, while the other team will be the allies. It could be a fun way to do 2v2 or 3v3 in my opinion. ALSO: this might be better for play with friends only, as some collaboration could occur in ranked.

**Improve the integration between Google play Pass and Risk! **
In details(If you don't want to read this, skip to Summary, 2 paragraphs below):
While having Google play pass as a User, you basically gain access to free purchases across games in Android Store and other benefits, such as getting games that were for money, now free.
For Risk, Google play pass is messy, because you can't see all of the Shop options, which normal users can see without Google play pass. This makes it very annoying, because you don't get a single worthy item for purchase in days and even weeks. When Amazon was put in place, you couldn't see that as well, since there's an issue of properly getting those exclusive items with a pass and now you can't even see the new Bundles almost at all, because it's bugged out (Most of the time at least, sometimes it works, but rarely).
Summary:
So in summary, the overlay is really messy and buggy for this game, most of the new items don't pop up in days and even weeks, especially if you already purchased a lot of items for free.
I have a lot of screenshots for how much days I was not getting a single item that I yet didn't own (The record was like 8 days in a row or smth, then I got one item, then had to wait 3 - 6 more days to get another new item), so it's pretty bad itself.
I hope this gets fixed just like this new bundle currencies, which a lot of users reported that they couldn't see the exact price of it and couldn't buy it at all.

Gamemode: "Promotion". A gamemode where the explicit goal is to "upgrade" a certain number of territories to cities/capitals. Players sacrifice x number of troops to turn a territory into a city, which has better defensive dice than a usual territory. Upgrading would be costly, however, and cities can always be taken. The goal is to own x number of cities (let's say 6, one for each player) in order to win the game.

As others have said before including me, please add in a 5, 10, or 15 sec timeout after a player has been kicked from a lobby (meaning said player cannot join the game and occupy a slot for said amount of time. It is highly irritating when there is player who for various reasons you do not want in your game keeps re-joining 1.5 secs after you kick them. Having a simple short timeout time after being kicked would be very useful.

Revert to Old BB odds!
What's up?
From this new update, BB odds feels more underwhelming every time you attack something, you have more chances to lose troops on 1's than before, which is really odd. I've lost like 5 troops attacking only 7 1's in a row with a stack and once 2 troops from a 1.
You also have more chances to lose a lot of troops if you're blitzing a larger defense portion of troops, example. 10 v 5, 6 v 3 and so on...
I don't know why this stuff get hidden in Patch notes and other issues/bugs that users find in the game. Whatever the reason is, it needs to get fixed, because it's ruining the game experience and forcing great players (such as me) to give up from this game. A lot of players already are tired of it, so yea.
Summary:
You lose a lot more troops than you should and there's more chances to lose now on blitzes on this new update compared to the old one, almost like the defenders are now stronger than attackers, opposite effect.
We don't want any more maps and cosmetics, We just need proper game improvements.

Some players like fast games while others prefer slower paced games. Allow players filter games by time limit ranges instead of an exact value of Turn Timer, similar to how you can filter a range of Minimum and Maximum Rank.

Add in a quest/challenge system that grants you gems anytime you complete a challenge. The amount of gems granted could depend on the “difficulty” of the challenge. There could be a limited amount of quests and once they’re complete no more gems can be earned through that route (that way, revenue can still be generated through people purchasing gems while also preventing abuse of the challenge/quest system).

In the game lobby, add some minor chat capabilities. Add a button that asks other players of they're ready to go with the amount of people in the lobby, if it's not full. It'll change with the amount of people. So if there's only two of you, the button would say "Ok for 1v1?". Or if there's 5 in the lobby, but 6 are allowed, it would say "Go with 5 players?". Add Wastelands as an option
Similar to blizzards, wastelands are assigned to a few random territories at the start of a game
However each wasteland works as a normal territory, but contains 5 to 15 rebel troops. These are neutral, and never deploy attack or fortify.
Players would have to make a strategic decision between expending a lot of troops to conquer the wastelands, or treating them like blizzards and leaving them there
Recently there has been a large increase in the number of maps over twice the size of classic, and adding wasteland on these maps would help balance their huge territory counts.
I’ve seen another Risk game which offers a similar kind of setting, and it’s popular both for ffa games and 1v1s

I like @turbid relic's wasteland idea and wanted to add something. The wasteland territories could be troop negative. They're dying of radiation, starvation, disease, or whatever. At the end or beginning of each round you lose one troop automatically on that territory. And the longer you occupy that territory, the troop sacrifice increases. Lose one troop in the beginning, 2 troops a round after occupying for 5 rounds, 3 troops after 10 rounds, and so on.

Ability to un-send an alliance. Sometimes you send an alliance very early and they don't accept it but leave it pending. Much later in the game when you no longer benefit from a alliance, they then accept it to see your troops, in fog of war game modes this can sometimes be annoying.

SMG has a pop up that asks players to rate the app (usually appears after a win and says something like 'You won like a 4 star general. Now give us 4 stars', something like that) I'd like to make a congratulatory pop up for every player who achieves Grandmaster status, and make reaching Grandmaster more of a recognized event. Additionally the pop up can encourage every GM to join to the Discord by telling them that they have a Discord GM role waiting for them, and provide them with the direct link to the server. Maybe have a ping to one of the Mods so that getting the GM role is semi-automated.

In Map Packs Store, you can view details about Maps within Map pack (Territories and Continents), but once you buy it, you can no longer access that section anymore. Please add that info for those that buy it as well. It's annoying.
As for Cosmetic items, make it so you can view them in detail once you buy it as well and not just when you don't have them, in Shop.

Cyclones/Hurricanes
The storms would come in off the water, like they do irl. But in the game they can form in any ocean or sea and head for any coast. Once you see them appear you only have a few minutes before they make landfall. Move your troops out of the way! These storms will decimate anything in their path. Maybe only 20% of troops will be lost. Maybe 100%, and all that is left is a blank territory. Do you take the chance? Do you....Risk it? 🤣
The storms would only reach 1-2 territories deep into land, and 1-3 territories wide. Depends in how large the territories are. The territory that gets hit with the eye receives the heaviest damage. While the territories next to the one hit by the eye receive 30-50% less damage.

SMG add a spectate mode during game setup for PWF.
The option would be available to whoever sets up the game to allow spectators or not. If spectators are allowed, either a link could be sent, maybe on Discord, or it would show up on your friends list that your friend is streaming a game that is available to watch.
You wouldn't see it from they player's POV, though. You would see the board, as is. Wouldn't be able to see anyone's cards. That should nix any stream sniping. Only fog games would not be allowed to be streamed.

Add a filter to skip games that have (already) bots configured to participate.
The reason I'd like this is because now I have to JOIN a game before I can see if it contains bots, and then leave again. If the game owner starts the game very fast then often I have to not-confirm to escape the fate of playing with bots.
In case anyone wonders, I really really don't want to play with bots because I play Capitals - and bots just can't play that: they don't treat their Capital as special and leave it when nobody is neighboring it with a lot of troops. As a result, bots lose their capital in the first or second turn to whoever happens to (usually accidently, especially with Fog) to be able to get it first.

I was thinking a new game mode risk could add is "Points". The objective of this game mode will be to have the most points after a set amount of rounds (The host can edit the amount of rounds). How do you gain points? Well, I was thinking that you could get points for holding a continent or continents or/and by wiping players out. 2 new bot types, master and unfair. The master would make smart decisions and actively try to win IE) going for kills in prog, not blocking in armies if possible, doing logical splits based on information it knows, and predicting based on what it last saw and troop reinforcements in fog. Unfair would make smart decisions like the master bot but ignore limitations (like fog and delay would be negligible so that an unfair bot could potentially win in a 70% dom situation and be brutal in a fog game) making unfair bots, well... unfair. unfair should probably be a play friends lobby/single player only feature to avoid people making games botting out and getting first based on the difficulty of a bot designed to be unfair.

Whenever automatch comes, there should be two separate leaderboards, one for 1v1s and one for FFA. And automatch is already supposed to be where you can only play players of your rank + and - 1 so the 1v1 leaderboard would be legitimate and would end noob farming. And in FFA there would be less suicides for the higher ranked players if they played higher ranked players and I think this would make everyone happy. Hopefully in automatch we will also be able to chose what settings to play since I don’t think a lot of people want to get into games with random settings people don’t like.

Enable spectating for players eliminated in fog games. I understand why that doesn’t happen right now to prevent cheating, but it actually makes collusion harder for other players to detect, and more importantly, substantially detracts from the fun of the game. When you get eliminated, you want to see what went wrong and how players gained on you possibly out of nowhere, or if the person harassing you all game gets out next, and who is going to win. For the incredibly rare case of people using spectating through fog to blatantly cheat, there are dozens of players whose experiences are made worse, and a good amount of collusion that actually can’t be detected at all. As much as I hate cheating, anti-cheat mechanisms go too far when they mean the rest of us cannot enjoy the game. At the very least, why not make the logs/game history available to us for a little while after the game actually ends?

new game modes. Game needs some new modes, such as king of the hill or 2v2 modes. In game tourney etc. To spice things up to keep players intrigued. Maybe some mini games and public chat servers while we are at it 🤷

power booster mode for example I take a territory and I get +10seconds or +2troops etc randomly placed all around the area with good and bad powers repercussions. Or a sandbox mode where users can make their own maps and add their own powers which get randomly placed in the map.

Add ability to send private messages between Risk Friends from the main menu screen/when you are not in a game. (Cannot check private messages while in a game). Could be a nice way to coordinate times to play with the people that you meet in the game itself, maybe share some advice with someone in a game that you just played (assuming they accept your friend invite), etc.

Make a map that does tribute to Napoleon. Perhaps one where the objective is to defeat his empire at its greatest extent, similar to the Roman Empire map.

put the name of the match creator on the map, and if possible create a secondary color choice so if your color is already taken it will default to the secondary.

make the ranking overhaul happen please! lets see if we can get this risk idea to 100 likes. currently most unanimously agree that there should be multiple ladders (IE. FFA and 1v1) as well as a rank reset.

Release a map pack consisting of all of the almost-great maps for manual 1v1 (Italy, Roman Empire, NZ+Aus, Arctic) with one less territory so that the total territories with blizzards is odd and the first player has to choose the last territory. Then these unloved wonders can make it to prime time!

I miss the cross-cultural names from the previous Risk account name system. Instead of just 'General', randomly assign new accounts a random word that translates to 'General' from any language that uses a Latin alphabet (e.g. 'Commandante', 'Fältherre', 'Sotilaskomentaja', 'Bushō', 'Voyenachal'nik', 'Mkulo Wankhondo', etc. but someone should definitely check those to make sure none are offensive/have negative histories).

Pause Button. This would only be for Play Friends mode. All players must agree for the pause to go in affect. It would pause the game for only 3 minutes. This would be useful for long games to be able to use the bathroom and get food/drinks.
