yeah again i just don't think it's the biggest ass that has ever assed. i got to shoot bad guys. so far it's had way less bugs than either 3 or 4 did. the stories in BF1 were waaaay too short. arguably less gameplay than even BF6 so far even though it had several different stories

i think it's silly when they call in an airstrike and then the jet flys 20m above the ground on a bombing run

but that's battlefield for you

i get a kick out of when people say that battlefield is way more realistic than COD and then you have a jet almost ram your helicopter during a cut scene because they want the 'cool effect'

@verbal knot I guess it's not the worst. If you ignore the glitches, lack of polish, dumb af story, and it ripping off COD characters and tropes, the shooting parts are alright. Would've been nice to have a helo or air mission as well. It also looks like they were trying to add a bunc hof other stuff with the squad orders being there but didn't have the time/resources. Looks like they might've had something going and the higher ups went "nah use this" and dumped the MP engine on them in the last 6 months and said make something of it. Also explains why the campaign isn't nested into the game and acts like an entirely seperate entity altogether.

I’m on mission 3, it’s not good so far. Very mid, and that’s being generous😂😂 cutscenes are ass and not very well put together. I’m not following and am quite confused on the campaigns storyline and origin there of.

Multiplayer maps are mid as fuck. There is 1 alright map and that’s is the Operation Firestorm remake. The rest are borderline COD maps that are too small and or compete ass.

Also the leader of the mercenary group hates you because he's an evil man and loves chaos but also because he became disenfranchised because your team leader told him to not go back for his men during a BF3 mission but he did anyways.

Also there's a random budget COD ghost dude who wears an airsoft face mask who's part of of the mercenary army but volunteered for it but also didn't

They are small, very small for large conquest maps. Vehicles do not have space to move. Rockets seem too OP against vehicles. Way too much CQB on almost every map right now. Even the 1 revamped map doesnt feel like the OG map. Just not a fan of the maps at all

I got more true BF3 or BF4 vibes from BattleBit Remastered than I do from these maps.

A is this mixture of terrain with the warehouse with some micro variations in levels and terrain

B is the rooftop battle

C is this X intersection within the building that really becomes an siege attacker vs entrenched defenders type vibe

And because the points are more centralised, it leaves opportunities and room for some flanking or different avenues of approach

I've been able to mitigate this by constantly being aware on the map of where enemy potentially are

Helps me narrow down a bit which points they're spawning from, or about to start spawning from

Like in conquest, if I notice my entire team is pushing towards a line of objectives and we're pretty easily pushing through, I usually expect the previous objectives we took to start falling as the enemy goes around the other way, and we end up in this circling fight as two teams

That helps paint a picture in my mind where everyone likely is and I can adjust accordingly

But I do wonder how many players are even opening their maps mid game

I’m probably the last to notice this but if you haven’t noticed, on weapons with selector switches that can be manipulated via the thumb, the shooter will flip to safe when conducting any kind of reload. A nice touch.

Just had an awesome match

Opposing team immediately came out strong with the air dominance, they had AA vehicles supporting really good pilots. It was near impossible to even take off without being locked/strafed and the pilots were good

So after struggling a few times, I switched to play engineer for a bit, tried to utilise stingers to pressure the jets, but it was difficult to beat the flares

so I switched to Recon and started painting everything that showed up and that started to turn the tide. Pilots couldnt dodge the missiles as well, were burning their flares and we started taking down all the aircraft

slowly our team started gaining control and we ended up winning the game

God I love BF

48 revives...almost hit the big 50! If I had started with Support right from the beginning of the round I couldve done it

Just finished off a Conquest round where I stayed in the same SU-57 the entire game. Just picking off enemy air when they came in, then being selective about diving in to support the ground. But spent most of my time just keeping the skies clear.

Im running the Assault rifle assignment atm trying to get that bullpup one. Great hipfire and good control from what ive seen.
The G36 fucks though. Get a better forgrip and the thing never moves. Add atleast a green laser and the hipfire is insane

That's why i said only hand made selected environments go boom boom. not every building. the buildings that are destructible also feel scripted, not organic. Like, I can only whip a GL out and shoot a wall that'll expose the other side on SOME parts of the building. in bc2 i remember being able to demolish the first floor of a building so the rest of the building would just umble down

Here is a crazy idea. I naturally suck at shooting in games. I think the single stick Nintendo 64 controller set me up for failure. But I use an Xbox controller with aim assist. It’s decent with helping me aim and murdering.

I played a round of Conquest on the new map. Pretty open hilly terrain. I fly around a bit but the map boundaries are a little small, easily was getting “out of bounds” warnings

Switched to recon and a laser designator was very strong, could paint everything in sight and basically shut down their air force as they were getting locked on right after takeoff

Honestly that tactic purely hinges on being painted by laser designators, which needs to be adjusted I think

A single recon + engineer duo can shut down the entire air war because of being painted

Also currently the AA IFVs are broken, they lock on and fire with no warnings even without being painted. You just blow up in the air without warning

I love battlefield and all, but it has that tendency to be a rage baiting game to me. So I have to take breaks a lot with certain PVP type FPS games, and it becomes a issue where, do I really want to have a rage inducing games on the off chance I play on a bad server and I come home from work dealing with that? nah

New battlefield Labs testing had new weapons and a new map and new gamemode with a twist.

Overall I liked it a lot. The weapons were neat. The new twist on the conquest mode needs work done though
