Failed Emergency Stop Animals. Advice.

Hello, I failed the Emergency Stop....the new version with animals.
Basically I was not quick enough to kill them all before they killed who I was protecting.
Next time, I will expect it and bring with me a pet with more health.
But my problem is I had my best weapon against animals with is the T6 common lvl5 (Winchester Gallery Gun 1400+ dmg extra 40% against animal).
I don't see what else I can do to succeed. What I am missing here? Should stop doing those until I get a better weapon?

Is T6 common stronger than T5 rare?

It isn't and don't get stun. Same for T4 level 5 rare vs T5 common. T4 as about 200 more DMG .

I think with many, the shotgun with crit + crit food is better. That's over 30% crit and hit 3 at once. Chance of one getting 2x dmg is higher.

I haven't gotten an estop ive only gotten the new old road once then a bunch of train attacks I skipped. No estop. You have to protect someone against wolves?

Plus also whats this obsession with wolves on the train? Next it will be snakes on a plane

You have to protect multiple people (5ish?) against wolves... Coming by group of 3ish? If you deal with one you need a pet to deal with a second one and another tamed pet to deal with the third one... And you need to kill quickly before the next wave.
So you need an healthy pet and a strong weapon.

After I failed, I saw on the edge of the map other wolfs, the same type that attacked me. I should maybe have walked around the map before accepted the mission (same than the old road).

I never accept the mission I clear it first then go back. But not sure they needed to make popups harder

I had a quick look at first but I didn't see them... Maybe I just miss them or they appear after.

The animals aren't always easily located sometimes they are all clustered by the end 😹

Honestly it's annoying not know what prep with. Then if I carry both sets of equipment, I'll run out of space.

Other train event I'll bring my stealth set. But now with safe one, I should have high attack speed and use shotgun.. There isn't any animals to tame. So you mind as well go attack speed.

Old Road, idk yet. Heard it's time base now.

Shootout, I heard that got easier.

Both emergency stop and train attack attack are bandit ones on mine. There's no safes to take there either. Mine are level 115.

Normal kind? (cleaning up the boss and other bandits, nothing to protect).
As I believe, what mentioned here is about the alternate version, the new(?) one…

U need t6 common rifle or t5 rare even better.
But u also need boost up attack speed with armor and rings,u need killing quick like in old road just not bandits but animals.
Specialy if u dont have rifle skills maxed out u need relay on attack speed. God pet with fast paws or fast hits can help but even best pets cant do damage quick enough as u need killing animals mainly alphas,that come from multi diraction quickly.
Hunter rings helps for those who have it,those who dont I suggest max out on attack speed rings and amulets for that one, and best rare armor u curently have can give u more speed also.

Just use pistols rifles are just soo slow never been a fan of them and with proper skill setup they do perform similarly sometimes even better to rifles which are also so overpriced pile of garbage outside of raids for the extra range

And rare of previous tier always better then common of current one even uncommon ones most of the time

Well I had it yesterday and I managed... But indeed Alfa wolfs are 15 coming by waves of 3 so you need an heatly pet + a tamed animal with you to keep 2 busy when you are killing the 3rd one (fast).
I managed but honestly I don't see where is the fun in this task. And the lot was not that great compare to the other emergency stop.
I will probably skip it in the futur... Hoping to get horseshoe...

Oh there is no skills on rifle thats the problem.

If u have skills on handgun than use handgun its better op.

As I am working person whole life,those where small spendings for me,so my skill tree is almost full.
Anyway not sure whats best op now. Handgun was better before this updates.
Now u nedx rifles. Thay do have bigger base damage so those % come to be much more than handguns,and diffrence is biger in higher tiers

Its because everyone complained they ruined rifles with the skill update isn't it. Fits with the "stop whining or i will give you something to cry about" devs attitude. They like you didn't appreciate the rifle bonus. Starving t1 players would have loved to have your rifle bonus. So here are more animals to fight. See that you appreciate what you have.

Dont expect nothing good in future updates.
I went for handgun skills firs as it seam more op. Becose it was clear that ever time limited event had bandits not animals,west star had only bandits,hidouts had only bandits,outposts also,with some dogs but not much. So handgun was clear priority for me.
Now its inposible to give advice.
If u cant do emergency stop u cant develop your fileds.
Can it be done with handgun if u have incrise buffes there. Dont know didnt tried. I asume yes with rare ones.
Use t5 food for incrise c.chance and t6 drink for incrise damages.
Must be a way to do it.

At T6 it's already a 40% boost on animals, with higher base dmg to start. That's like saying every shot is 60% more damange.. Before any food buff. Don't forget even if you used 3 skill point to make your build more balance on first animal buff skill, another 20%.

Speed wise: I don't feel bandits and animals attack speed up. Well at least my T1-5 experience. But if course we can speed it up. The 25 point for pistol don't seems to be such an issue. Even less when you know map don't offer you any animals to tame. Rings and amulet combo would be nearly +45,

Buffes are so strong that I can farm t7 zones with t4 carabine,and complete this same thing with it or t5 common rifle.
I did disagree with this huge diffrences. Bit its money grab,trying to force people to have more skills,so find way araund it.
But dont skip E.S. as u need huge amount of fertilazer for one t7 field. As tasks will ask to consume 50 t7 food on 14days,without tomato production not gona be easy to complete.

I got one. It was kinda fun. But I cheated. I had a t7 uncommon rifle because I was on my way to a t7 quest at denali and diverted. So I was a happy accident I had the rifle and not my harpoon.

I think t5 rare rifle would work well but a t6 common or uncommon if you have few rifle skills. I would add extra dmg and speed foods and rings. I don't think the hunter ring kicked in. It may be blocked it doesn't work on the bumpo animals for me for awhile.

I definitely wouldn't do it with less than t5 rare without skills.

Indeed I did it with T6 common rifle and no rifle or firearm skills... It was OK but I would not have done it without 2 pets and food bluff.

Well its a better use of a pet than the bumpo quests where they don't do anything at all.

So I had 4000 life points in totoal. With ointments of 1800 it allow me to check if under half life to top up quickly without thinking

I am sharing my experience.

1. You need good gears. At least have the common gears of level 10 of T6
2. Second most important thing is healing potions. When you get attacked, if you are not healing soon enough, you die. Have nothing less than T5 potions.
3. Yes, keep a pet for diversion. Remember to keep pet food too. A dead pet is of no use.
4. T6 common gun at level 10 is enough. I used the same gun for whole of T6 journey.

Why lvl 10? You only add 1 dmg or 1 defense for each lvl over 5. I only go over for the stupid track task. Did you mean lvl 5?

Yeah, lvl 5 is fine. I just like to keep at 10.
