A few days ago I unlocked T6, and today I got a quest that requires the wagon. I haven’t been lucky enough to get the duel event to farm the horseshoes and other materials, so I still haven’t finished building it. Does that mean that those of us who haven’t completed it yet are basically stuck failing that quest every time it shows up until we finish the wagon?

I understand the energy cost and I don’t mind it. The issue is that those of us who haven’t been able to build the wagon yet due to missing event items are going to fail that same quest every day, which means we’re losing out on the coins.

For now unfortunately yes, feedback has been passed back up the chain that a number of players don't have wagons due to the large number of horse items needed so we are hoping that changes will be made. I will forward this to orelko so he can add it to his reporting to the devs.

If you don't mind me asking, how many pieces away from making it are you? Like, how many wagon bows completed if any?

In theory I have three. I’m just missing two horseshoes and two saddles, which would give me three wagon bows. So I’d still need two more wagon bows on top of that.

I think part of the misconception may stem from the wagon completion being a cotton path (t4) task - they assumed people would just do it, not realising how difficult it actually is to get the parts from shootout? instead people move on to t5 and leave that one task unfinished lol

Ya. Even if save up every coin. It won't have enough still to buy. Need about 6k if you got some part along the way. Especially when you paying non vip price

That means they won't even have coins to upgraded their T4 and T5.

I am t7 for 2 monts now. I have 2 wagon bows complete. My stable is maxed as it was priority.
I coud have buy more horsehoes while I was on vip if I new it woud be nessery for tasks.
But as I found wagon not to be very op I never botherd with it to much.
While I was on vip I voud have asked alliance leaders to make trade bonus activ and complete it.
For t7 player horshoes cost 300conis,with vip thay drop to 240 coins,with alliance bonus+vip thay drop to 210.
Overal instade of making wagon op for farming thay just wona force us to have it.
Thats what I hate abouth it.
Its like someone wonts to force sell bad product.
Not that I care much as I have all my upgrades in coins done,but not ok aproch to just change task requriment with somthing so demanding,as it needs total of 20horse shoes to complete it. There are developing players that needs so much coins for upgrades,horses etc.

I didn't finish the stupid wagon until most of my way towards t6. I did manage to finish it in t5 but only because I spent a ton of coins on the stupid horseshoes. The number of horseshoes required is insane. Can you even move that useless safe with a lvl 1 wagon?

Don‘t forget that you can only trade one bow a day. Start trading them before you have the material to trade them all.

Its normal to start getting higher tier quests in your area before you unlock the next place. Its level based increase in difficulty. Good practice to see if you are ready to unlock the area.

From what I seen even t7 players get t4,t5 gunparts from those safes. Its loss of coins for 1 task less I know,but not realy worth investing in horsehoes.

Im still stuck with cotton path. Haven't completed it and did not accept the new one because i Haven't been able to get the wagon done. I am really fare away and I am on level 107. I have sattle and horse shoes but missing the other piece.. but not enough horseshoes to trade. So i am really far away from the wagon.

You don't earn books on the path though. When you go to the new area you can choose to continue the old path or start the new one and give up the reward. Then when you finish the new path (marsh) will start. I did the same iirc it was really easy to catch it up half those paths are all benches and the rest is farming til you get to the shack and the dogsled.

Wagon part for shootout event isn't zone base but level. I thought if I stayed in T4, I would have gotten more Shootout. I didn't

When you go to marsh the guy asks you to choose of you want to keep cotton path ir start marsh one. You can only have one open. You can totally choose keep the cotton path and finish it. Then start the marsh one.

I would just dismantle the clothes I think you get a rubber for each iirc. They aren't worth using the t4 rare is better and Epic costs gold since you need rubber or fish to repair. Not worth it. T7 epics and the t4 rubberized coat and boots are the only ones worth gold right now unless you have everything upgraded at t7 and have nothing else to spend gold on.

I dunno i had the wagon as a task I was almost in t6 before I had it done and mostly because I bought most of the shoes with coins. (But before I was buying blueprints tubes for the same amount) Anyway I believe there was someone that had 3 paths available because they were stuck on the wagon task and went to boreal.

It is meant to be a t4 task i will bet you that they think people skip it because they don't see the use. And don't understand people skip it because of the outrageously ridiculous insane unbelievably high demand for shoes for it. Compared to the teeny tiny totally infrequent and completely unbalanced occurrence of shootout spots and even smaller likelihood of actually obtaining a shoe from one. I think the chance is just slightly higher to win a shoe at shootout spot than it is to be struck by lightning. But only a little bit higher.

I gotten 2 Shootout from 80-94. Once waited 8 days, skipping all the events. This was 6 weeks

Gotten one at level 99, 2 weeks ago..

This shows how hard it for new players. New player should play it as 2nd game. 4 months of staying T2, only thing you do. Long on, pop event. Log off 😂

I always thought shootout should have a guaranteed horseshoe. The rarest of events and you only have a slim chance to get a shoe, literally hands down the most in demand horse part over all the others in the entire game. And you walk away with 2 saddles, literally the least valuable horse part.

A guaranteed shoe, then a chance of one of the other parts.

This saddles,wheels and axes,even Carmack dont take them,very rearly.
I woud like to suggest,to inplement better balance there.
U know there is 4 horseshoes for one wagon bow. And thay are needed for stable upgrade on top of that.
So remake shotout spot,such a way that it always gives 1 horseshow in main crate(destroyd wagon) as a main reword item of this time limited event.
Like old road gives 1 bowl always.
This is very disapointing when u see u didnt get nothing u need,just things that u have to much already.

Shootout is seriously the most unbalanced pop up in my opinion. Its too infrequent compared to otger eventa and theres way too many items necessary to obtain from a single event with 1 item in particular in extremely high demamd for multiple projects. While other events have only 1 or a chance of 2 different items shootout has 6 special items. And as i said one of those items is needed more than any other special item in the entire game.

On top of that you get all the wagon parts you need fairly easily and this ends up with a surplus of those items. You cant trade them. Carmack rarely asks for them. The 3 other horse part requirement to trade for shoes is too restrictive.

Shootout frequency and how horseshoes can be obtained really need a serious look.

The drop rate for shootout items is very obviously, and very clearly rigged. For one, the game is NOT giving you a random time event but instead and I'm 100% sure of this, will give you the event YOU DO NOT NEED roughly 50%-70% of the time. For me personally, this is always the Roster/cowbell event. A year or two ago I actually documented my time events and that showed an overwhelming majority was the roster/cowbell event over and over and over again while the one event I do actually want, shootout did not appear ever. I believe one of the test months had 1 shootouts and 14 roster/cowbell events THAT'S NOT RANDOM!!! Sorry... it just isn't.... So for me personally, yes, 100% this sh*t is rigged, VERY OBVIOUSLY so you PAY REAL MONEY to get the horse shoes... I've been gaming since the 90's and I've never seen a system more obviously geared towards RL cash and I brought this up many times in global chat only to get mocked or attacked. Make of that what you will. I seriously don't care anymore.

Personal theory not proven. But I believe if you put all the other items into the project (ingots, wood etc) and only the special item left you don't see that event. So I always try to leave a few things out. Sometimes I put a few things in slowly. Little voodoo and witchcraft never hurts.

The wagon bow deal never appears except once which is silly. Lost revenue there.

I have the tank at level 1 and it's never been much use to me for my playstyle. I might use it now, but yesterday I had 3 identical safe recovery missions... no way did I do them. I don't think it makes sense to waste all that sugar!!!! The safe transport method needs to be fixed, and having 3 identical missions shouldn't be allowed!!!

It IS random - just rigged randomness. Random doesn't mean that all events are equally random. Matter of fact, devs declared about a year ago that the train events (rooster/cowbell and fertilizer) have changed to be much more likely than the other two. They fantasized something about "players want it that way", as usual when they do something we definitely do not want.
