I really think the iron needed for t6 and t7 smelting needs to be reassessed.
I’ve worked hard to get to t7 only to find I spend about half my time grinding away at iron, a t3 rss. It’s boring, time consuming, and is really giving me a lack of ambition to continue playing the game.
I know I’m not the only one feeling this way so I do hope you can take some time to look into this subject and possibly find a solution.

I use my iron runs to also get brown coal for the generator so it doesn't really bother me but i support your right to be sick of it. 😂
This can't be implemented cause the whole reason why we only have to get 200 of high tier ores instead of 400 is the 800 iron
So removing iron or reducing it will lead to more ores needed

But that makes no sense. We need 2 tungsten because we only get 1 while mining and hope to get maybe 10 per run? Alloy I get 20 per run.

I agree. It is realy boring process.
Cut down iron input for t6 and t7 ingots by half.
Or instead of reducing iron (if the balance response is increasing the harder ores) then lets add some skills in higher sections specifically to improve iron ore gathering. More improvements on the earlier skills of one hit strike chance, extra rss drops, less hits with higher tier tools. Something, anything to make the tedium easier.
Like lets be real, making it easier to get iron at a higher tier shouldn't effect the balance because most t6 and t7 players are running iron on auto with their eyes closed in the dregs of their armor using bow and arrows and other cheap weapons.
I usually farm iron with GS or sherif set that still has some durability (above 200), that i prevously wore in higher tiers. And weapons are usually BP1 rewards. Or tomahawk/dueling pistol i grab from gang leaders.
Those are some good suggestions Cat. A smelting skill or something along those lines that reduces the amount of lower tier rss required to smelt tungsten and moly would be good. Thanks for the input Cat 😊
Improved Smelting I and II where it takes 1 less iron to make t5-t6 ingots, then where it takes 1 less for t7-t8

Devs will find a way to make it "have to".
higher tier levelling can be incredibly slow if you don't have 2xp and aren't breeding pets that you need to level.
there are reasonably active players who were level 121 (maxed) before t7 was released and they're only level 122 or barely 123 now.
you probably don't need to worry about being rushed against your will into t8 unless you're already going fast.
people who farm in stealth mode can level real slow if they feel like it 😂
Eventually they have to stop with that Tiers thing; there are only 92 metals in the periodic table.

Some guys use animals with extra bonus,thats big incrise in exp.points,with alliance bonus it realy good. It like 30k+ exp.for killin kodiak bear,as one member showed us.

While you are reassessing iron, do the same with coal.
I would personally like the game to move forward . Why wouldn't you want that ?
Tier system is not moving forward, is moving backward. New tier is the same as previous tier. You don't get new mechanics nor a new building, you don't get new markets for new exchanges. It's just the same Stacey Malibu with a new hat.
What can you do in the new towns? What's new in Deepwater or Teklanika or whatever T7 town was named?
I want the tier itself : new resources , guns , armor , locations to farm and explore . There is only a town in a tier ?

I want people to stop being so naive as to think that one more tier makes a difference. You just will have to do the same but by expending more energy.
Players should start asking for new or better mechanics from developers instead of the eventual T25 plasma rifle with T25 uranium-enriched bullets and the T25 mutant ninja bear pet.

In Deepwater, we have a lumber mill. When I first arrived in that town, I thought we'd have quests for the lumberjack, you know, to earn a few silver coins, or at least have an extra way to turn logs into planks. I thought we could sell crocodile hides in the new shops; after all, they're hard to come by. Or that we'd finally have a way to trade those metal tools. Was there any of that? No.
Did the players ask for any of that? No. The devs gave them Tier 6 and told them, "Go waste your energy up north, guys, there's nothing here."
Teklanika was again the same. We don't even have a mission board there! Did devs do something about? No. But hey, some players still want a T8 and calling that "progression".
Can you add storyline chapter 6 to the report?
Would be nice to have something new, rather than “just” increasing difficulty in a new guise.
