If I buy a tube before the update and open it after the update will it still be old or will it update?

They will be locked in your current region unlocked. Swamp T5, spith T4 etc.

They won't update later on

I can’t provide an answer, maybe game officials can provide more details…

…but judging by videonews:
-tubes will “match” your tier (if you opened boreal wilds you will get t6 items;
-uncommons will be given as reward to daily quests; rares will be found in bandits outposts; epics you will buy at the traders;
-upgrades will be done at the benches for coins/nuggets.

My estimates:

1. I speculate that you will now only need to get the initial tube, then you will upgrade with currencies.

2. Common tubes aren’t mentioned so I reckon, they will be available as chest loot.

3. Since only aforementioned tubes are shown i think all other tubes will either stay or be cast into existing ones (boreal uncommon will be transformed into just uncommons).

4. I’m guessing the price for upgrading will not be progressing (100 silver for rares, 250 gold for epics, uncommon/commons- who knows, maybe 50/25). You could also upgrade with tubes(hopefully, otherwise stashing tubes will be pointless).

I stashed a lot of tubes, so I’d really appreciate more details. @dense bone perhaps?

thanks everyone for responding. apparently the rare tubes will be caught at the camps so if i want t6 rare tube i have to go to the digger den which is only once a week. so i would like know before buying for coins before the update if these old tubes will update or not

Open all your common tubes... There will be no common tube after the update...

After the update we'll only be able to buy epics... But I hope it's not true, maybe Gustav will still sell uncommon and rare after the update...

Common blueprint at level 1 is free when you upgrade your bench, so you can upgrade it with silver coins only after the update..

You can exchange your common to uncommon before update or keep it... They will still work like before after the update..

@dense bone I did read them. That was not how they read to me. They said you would keep your tubes. NOT you will lose all your common tubes.

@dense bone My interpretation was they would no longer be available. When they also said we kept tubes i expected to still be able to use them up. Not that they would just be completely gone. Not sure why I expected otherwise around here.

I see. When, they said that common tubes would be removed entirely, that includes any you already had. The only tubes that will remain are your Uncommon and Rare ones.

@humble pond got some NEWS Regarding the removal of common tubes from your storage after the update:

According to the community manager, common tubes were supposed to be automatically converted to the next rarity at a 10-to-1 rate. However, it looks like there’s currently a bug affecting this process. The team is aware of it and is actively working on a fix, along with other related issues in the same category.
