Universal bait benefits

What are the benefits/best use/ of universal baits (besides obvious ones, like instant adaptation, luring animals on tier for which you don't have the bait unlocked)?

I have read the discussion about that a while ago (but can't seem to find it now)... and as I interpreted it, it works something like this: you have to have a bait of certain tier unlocked, before you are able to purchase universal bait of that same tier. With this uni bait you can then unlock other baits, not needing to spend time on breeding animals.

In my case I have bears/pumas of t5 unlocked, bought uni bait, used it on the t5 alpha, which I then gave to Vernon, but it just added points to the bait, not actually unlocking anything.

Did I misinterpreted the whole concept of uni baits? Or have I done something wrong(only thing that comes to mind is not maxing pets level)?

You didn't unlock the previous wolf bait that's the issue

Like when i wanted to unlock tier 5 pumas i bought tier 4 bait with silver then kept donating till i got tier 5 unlocked

If you don't have tier 4 bait unlocked the points will go towards the tier 2 bait

All T4 baits unlocked (inlcuding boars). Shouldn’t I now be able to unlock all other t5 baits with uni bait?

You know that uni bait gives same amount of points

As a normal bait

It doesn't instantly unlock a bait

I think I’ll stick to breeding. 80 gold for uni bait is 80 gold wasted.

Yeah i only use uni to get wolves ( alpha ones ) since i don't have the bait

I used it to get pumas before too

But now i stick to donating pets

Classic way is better

Yeah. We could argue about if its better, but it definitely is cheaper.

Naturalist camp. Henry the S-t-t-tutter sells it for gold. Note, that you need to have one tier of bait unlocked, to buy uni bait.

For instance, if you have unlocked one of T4 baits, you will get offer of uni T4 bait.

Or halfway to unlocking T5 bait and you'll get T5 uni bait..

Depends on the tier you’re looking to buy.

I paid 80 gold nuggets for t5 uni bait.

And I don’t know the prices for other tiers
