Demotion zone

Guys, what is the lowest GR division that has a demotion zone? And is joining GR last hour a good way to intentionally demote yourself?

Just to get this started: When I was in Silver 2 it was place 8 and below that gets demoted. I don't know about lower GR divisions.

And yes that can work. I have seen it happening a couple times. Alliances that get demoted usually have 500 points or less. The worst thing that can happen is you get place 6 or 7 (talking about silver divisions) and don't demote

There’s not demotion zone in bronze 1 that I have encountered. So far 13 alliances participating, none is getting dropped…. Yet

@shrewd storm so in my map the game says my alliance is silver 3 but in the competitions the game says its silver 2 what is my division really?
