Am I being too greedy for asking for compensation?

The hard-earned Sluice Box got reset. While it’s great that the devs reduced the resources needed for building upgrades but they should at least return the extra resources that spent on buildings or any other compensation for the hard worked players. I know I’m asking too much, but the Sluice Box reset stressed me out.

(Except the sluice box) This is great update on alliance. I really appreciate all the rework on alliance. Thanks for the hard work 00_howdy

This update will have a huge impact on canyon trials and spirit cave. If you want to be relatively high up the leader board you're depending on an high level alliance for the bonuses.

The ressources needed for upgrades is reasonable and imo fair. But for the sluice box ... well compensation in any way would be nice

Also can we please get to deactivate rookie players joining without confirmation? I already needed to kick some players to make place for those who actually asked to join

  1. Its accessible for newbies
  2. Its more accessible for high lvl players. Like i wasnt going to do anything else after mine lvl2, but now there is so much more i can do. Most players werent ever going to up mine to lvl2
  3. Gold production system is more easy to comprehend. The previous /ore - ore storing - ore washing/ was stupid and frustrating.
  4. All building matter now. I was never going to build bunks or merchant, now i will. Minecarts are better now and easier to build, same for station.
  5. Gold rush idk, will see how it goes when it starts. Looks like only big clans will be able to raid in high leagues. Also epic items will be used more frequently, as they can be repaired with kits and you can only use 1 set during a raid. Means we will have big separation between big alliances and smaller ones, not even mentioning solos. Its good we can drop from leagues now. Will see.

Can we get an alliance storage chest for unlimited space? Just for alliance materials only. Possibly have the deposits after raid events go directly to it as well? I don’t think it’s fair for alliance leaders to use their personal storage for alliance materials. This would clear up space a lot. Thank you!

This update makes 0 sense for the definition of an alliance, all it did was make it easier for ppl to farm gold… all you need to do is lower the mine production across the board and get rid of dividing gold, then all players new or old can join alliances…

Max big alliance 14 members 60 gold per day, farming t6 resources which uses more energy more weapon more armor, equipping best armor feeding clones, doing raids will get 11 gold per day each, while a lvl 85 can get 20 after a few farming t3 areas with a English saber ??? Please make it make sense or go look up the definition of alliance

Changes to the alliance system were long overdue so happy that something finally happened.
What I'm not happy with, is how was handled transformation of old buildings in the upgrade progress to the new ones, lost a lot of T4 resources there which is really frustrating.
Like I had for in progress watchtower all T4 resources (except special resource and steel fasteners, each I had just few in) so thousands of T4 leather, fabric rolls, stone blocks in, which took long time to gather. Now watchtower requires T3 resources and have NONE inside. Why if I had ALL T4 fabric rolls in, I got ZERO T3 fabric rolls? Same for rope and leather. I was exchanging all T3 resources for T4 in Silvertown and now I have to start from scratch and no compensation for it. And the same applies for more buildings. This is really disappointing.

You did not give a home to the 30 plus ppl a day asking on global English channel, because why would anyone need a lower lvl player to take gold away from them, you did not incentivize rewards for raiding other alliances… it’s a pretty basic concept it’s called ALLIANCE not solo gold mining

For crying out loud, disable raids until everyone gets the update! It's completely unfair that raiding isn't blocked and people use the fact that half of Westland couldn't feed their guards or empty their safe.

@dry gazelle you think there's a chance of getting our lost gold back? We just got raided, and it's completely unfair, most of our alliance aren't on Android. They can't even retaliate, it doesn't show up on the map!

Stop giving the Rookies free entry to an alliance. They also have to be choosen by the alliance like normal members. It’s a 24/7 Job to get them out.
They come in, they see all - chat, goldrush, the whole base with guards. And you have no idea who they are.
That’s nothing about Teamplay.

Our alliance has been able to house 15 members before the update. Now it's gone down to 10! How is this possible? In the alliance overview I've seen many other alliances having similar issues as they now have more members than should be possible (eg. 10/8).
Something seems to be very off.

If I were to choose one word to describe overall impression of the new update I’d pick DISAPPOINTMENT.

Of course I’ll look into it more thoroughly, but for what it looks like now, I don’t think I’ll bother with upgrading anymore. I doubt that I’ll add new members for bonuses don’t look promising. As it is now, I’ll let it aside and just collect 20 gold per day.

I keep track of what I do in Westland, so I was able to compare buildings/donated resources before and after. The result was insanely shocking, considering how much time it takes to gather such amount of materials, which in the end are wiped with a snap of a finger. Just like that. I did get 570 ingots, which is around 2300 iron/chromite/coal which can be done in a week or two with constant grinding. And lost 24k ash board (this is worse as I worked with outdated numbers, pretty sure it was 1000 more planks), +10k granite blocks, +18k cotton rope.

Haven't been so disappointed since I started playing (3/2019).

I'm sure with this update you made things more appealing to new players, but for me, you made a total disappointment.

I’m in Twinkle Stars. According to the new bunker information, we should only have 1 bunker, but we have two. The level 1 bunker (the extra one) is located towards the mountain, and the level 2 bunker is in front of HQ. Can we get the level 1 bunker removed please, if we are only suppose to have one?

We need compensation for the resources that were lost. You know how time-consuming it was to acquire them, which is why you changed it. This is completely unfair and frustrating.

As a rookie, one of the things I'm seeing most from alliance members is concern that rookies could be spies since they can join without application and see the base and alliance chat. I feel personally like that should ve a low concern for a true rookie. I lower level player has no time and zero incentives to spy. However I could see it being taken advantage of by a higher level player with the wherewithal to run an alternate account. I don't know what safeguards could be done to alleviate such a concern. Otherwise it's nice to be able to join an alliance and while limited helpfulness to the group also is protective for the rookie from being taken advantage of, I think it would be nice to be able to contribute more and the buffs are such a small advantage to only get 50% is barely worthwhile. I wonder if getting a smaller number of buffs or to have a separate choice of buffs for rookies only would be more useful?

It's only that there's only 3 or 4 buffs I can see that are useful outside of the alliance, the rest have to do with raids, gold etc. Since rookies can't participate they could very well never recieve any benefit of the buffs at all if they have a leader that chooses to use all the buffs for the raids and gold.

I just finished raiding for the first time, and got a message that backpack will be locked. I clicked on don’t show this again. I finished raiding, then went to Silverton to finish a daily quest. Got the rewards and went back to my ranch to dismantle the pants that I got from rewards. Well, my backpack seems locked. I cannot take the pants from inventory and place it onto the bench for dismantling lol.

Never mind. It works now. I had to log out and log back in to fix it. This is still good information to have for the devs though. Annoying, but still works.

This update has failed you in one word. We want to choose who we want in our company and who we don't. We have been building for years and you have taken almost everything from us. It is really unfair!!!

But even if I forgive all this, I can't forgive the attacks on other alliances. We've been trying for years to be as strong as possible and you're taking it away from us??? Give it back to us as it was!!! Thanks Marwyn DarkWolfs

Forcing solo players to play in alliances to be able to hit top leaderboard positions is a bold move. I doubt this will make alliances much more popular and solo players like me will quit. I have already but not due to this update.

Buying raids is not working properly.

  1. we did a raid yesterday but it still shows 0/3
  2. we were suprised that the raid starts right away when reaching 200. No additional button to click
  3. we then put some silver into the pot but decided not to use 600 for a second raid but wait for tomorrow and do one for 200. But today our silver has disappeared. And the goldrush chat doesn‘t say anything about an attack that has been started

In general, I like the update. It seems that the assignments/bonus thing could finally attract more participation, not just people collecting gold.
Please improve the Members/rookies management:
Sorting the things out is really complicated since I can only kick one person per day. Demoting a member to a rookie is impossible because the team is packed with rookies. The candidate's list is confusing (UX rework needed) because it is at the bottom, and promotion should be to the top but not directly as a member skipping the rookie role.

What about:

  • Add auto join settings for rookies (similar to members), so I don’t need to kick levels like 30-40.
  • Or better yet, we have an incoming list sorted by level, where I can pin in/out my rookies up to 8. If I want to demote a member to rookie first, I need to pin out a rookie if I reach the limit.

A rookie will become an alliance leader? When there are regular alliance members available? Thats not good. We need a "make this person a leader" button or something, but in any case a rookie should never be considered a potential leader over members

Give us option to collect rock as 100 pcs per slot for example tier5.
To craft 100 i must mine 500 thats many backpack (dont say about ammount of this spot ver low ratio vs trees) thats anoying me

Sorry, but this is a big disappointment and disrespect for veterans (we really have been building for years and with one stupid step of yours everything is lost) Alliance attacks were the only fun for veterans. Why don't you make divisions and split the alliance like that Why don't you make a new chapter of the story? Molly has been lying in the city for a year. Why don't you make a new location? If you made level 7 you would definitely get a big ovation. Why don't you make a pvp arena? 1vs1 fights are completely missing here. We could measure the strength between cowboys. We would like to grow in terms of gameplay, but this is a step back!! you have so many options and you will do this? We have always been looking forward to the game but now we don't even feel like playing, let alone investing real money in it. We won't even buy VIP anymore if you leave it like this!

Some alli members want to take a rest from the game for a while, like for a few weeks or month. Some members just need a few days off because of being busy irl. Staying as a member would disrupt alli gold distribution, especially for alliances who raid daily.
Instead of kicking such people, you could just make them rookies. They would not disrupt gold distribution and they could stay until they get back to game

There was a topic here in dc where players put their suggestions about what would they like to see in alliance update. There was a suggestion to make "on vacation" function for players for this exact reason that im talking about. That suggestion was strongly supported by community and was not at all implemented. Now devs can satisfy that suggestion with basically no work, no time spent, no programming. The only thing they have to do is to make lvl90+ players able to be rookies. And so many people will be satisfied. I see no reasons not to do that

About people being spies. 100% of the spies are going to be additional accs. Suppose an alliance1 starts a raid, they see their enemy alliance2 and they want to spy on them. If a player wants to be a spy, he cant leave alliance1 to get into alliance2 - that would put him into 12h waiting time. He cant be kicked from his alli. So he will have to be ready for spying, means it can only be some separate account, not some veteran (bc veterans will stay in alliance1, bc they are required to attack and defend)

Members of an alliance should have individual points collected for redeem or in other form of benefit? I mean to be fair members grinding for resources and donated for alliance but got kicked out for whatever reasons..

This was the worst-ever update in any app or game. A big “Alliances refactor” was announced, but everything is broken. I reported the bug and just got a “known issue”…. Good luck, guys but honestly, this sucks. Not to mention all the resources we lost… I created the alliance in 2021…

The way Helio handles updates lately is beyond any criticism.

First they recalculate our contribution, with no reimbursement. Issue a fix, which just make things worse.

That’s quite lame for professional developers.

I don’t know what devs are doing, but they are killing the game. If they change again ressources in alliances, I won’t be able to keep my team. Without my team, the game is not worth it. This update was supposed to be a great one. I never had my team so disappointed and furious. We are not feeling respected. As a lot of players, we put a lot of energy and real money for some, in this game, for what? They removed ressources just like that during a “maintenance” without even warning before. We, WildTriggers, finished our HQ on march 8th, they did their maintenance on 10th. We farmed for months to get our 19th member and now we are not able to have it? Come on. This is not right.
No compensation & not even a word about it. Players have to “fight” to get answers. This is not serious and certainly not professional. It’s really time to listen to your players.

What on earth is going on? Watchtower used to be T4 building. After update it became T3 and since I did not have it finished I lost hundreds of T4 resources as I got nothing after the update.

So I put in 150 iron fittings, 500 T3 rope, over 200 T3 fabric rolls and similar fur. Last time I collected gold in the morning, did not raid nor got raided meanwhile. After hours managed to get my boosts +5 gold and others as it was not woking) and now I collected 1 gold since morning!?

Also watchtower is again T4, so all the T3 resources I put in there are gone. Seems got back the T4 ones but again lost gold and 2 days grind for T3.

When you are posting an update, test it first FFS, and make up your mind what is what and for how much. Don't change it back and forth every other day. Don't think I got ever so frustrated with this game since I started to play almost 3 years ago. In the beginning I've seen some improvements but lately the changes are not in favour of players at all. Start to listen what we are telling you otherwise change your businesses plan focused on getting only new players because the older ones will leave like this.

Big alliances with 18 or 20 should have been devided in two alliances with the buildings according to the standard they had before. Like a clone of the alliance. So they would still have the benefit of their effort they put in but it would be a fair competition

The alliance I am apart of is 5 years in the making. If it were you, would you want your time and efforts divided?
We did not become big with a snap of a finger, to ask all that work to be taking away with a snap of a finger is just wrong in my humble opinion.
I also understand your frustration, but you can't take away from Peter to pay Paul.

as a solo player i get only benefits from the updated alliances. 5 more gold and easier building
the quests are easily done over the time of a week
i like the boosts, even tough at least half of them is totally useless without upgraded buildings

most of the boosts were not only constant before the update, but also way better. there are only 5 slots for active boosts, this way alliances not only loose some of their perks, the remaining ones got drastically nerved
reduced amount of members. i can understand, that you need to make space on the base, but you couldve just made the one remaining building capable of holding more members.

oh, and not to forget the enormous amount of bugs. cant remember an update with so many bugs.

We are better off having gold rush that works like in the previous updates where you have to start a raid to get in gold rush competitions.

Now that alliances can get in gold rush competitions just by revenging it will force unprepared alliances to either get pulled up to heavy hitter's territory or forced to let people get away with their gold.

I think the point rewards for revenge are ok, just make starting the raid (not revenges) and being successful in that raid be a requirement to enter gold rush competition.

I don't agree with you. I have solo alliance, never started raid but getting raided 1 -2 times a week by other alliances usually with 2 members, happened also with 3. If I do revenge raid, I'm losing equipment for my guard and for equipment for attack, why should I be excluded as it was until now? If I dont do revenge I'm losing gold. I think every raid no matter if initiated or revenge shold be counted and I consider it only fair.

Here's my feedback on the update:
I think almost all players were really looking forward to the update. There were many suggestions on Discord, some of which received a lot of positive feedback.

It could have been big – but unfortunately, it isn't.

Co-Leader
The position of Co-Leader was very well done.

Lockdown upon Switching:
The 20-hour lockout upon switching alliances is also a good implementation.

Beginners:
The idea of ​​the beginner system is fundamentally good. The implementation is unfortunately poor. Level 30 is much too early. The uncontrolled and unlimited access to alliances makes the gold rush nonsense.

Alliance Buildings:
The reduction of resources for alliance buildings is a good idea. The implementation is poor. The suggestion of a resource chest for the alliance would have saved a lot of trouble by allowing the excess resources to be stored there. This was not implemented; painstakingly earned resources were deleted. Following complaints, some buildings were redesigned – and additional resources were removed. This is not a behavior that leads to satisfaction.

Number of members:
The reduction in member slots was unnecessary and completely pointless in its current implementation. Currently, many alliances have more members than is actually possible. This results in more guards within the revised raid system than should be. Of course, members cannot simply be randomly removed from an alliance – therefore, it would be appropriate to restore the membership number to the old standard. This would also ensure that beginners can be retained at some point. Currently, this is not possible due to the reduction in the number of members.

Quests:
The weekly quests are a good system for promoting team play. However, they must be adapted to all members of the alliance.
If an alliance consists of a mix of high- and mid-level players, it is of little use if some quests can only be completed by the high-level players. This leads to dissatisfaction within the team. I generally think the bonuses to be activated are well done.

Gold Rush
Currently, the gold rush is completely out of balance. In the new system, we have to compete against alliances with too many members. And we have no chance of reaching this number of members ourselves due to the reduction in member slots. A solution must be found here – it would make sense to bring the number of members back to the previous level so that everyone can reach it with hard work.
The point distribution on the leaderboard is completely unclear. It's not clear what points are awarded for and how much. The amount of gold stolen and stolen back is equally unclear.
I would greatly appreciate it if we could get a detailed breakdown of how many points each item earns in the Gold Rush and how gold works in raids.

Overall:
Since the update, the game has been buggy like hell. There are more problems than actual playability.

Finally, if the basic idea is to promote team play, then there must be the ability to communicate with each other. For this, a functioning chat is essential. However, it hasn't worked reliably for months. An overhaul is long overdue.

I sing a song: Bugs, bugs everywhere bugs…🎷 Aside from that, some ideas are good, but the implementation is not. Stop the unilateral joining of rookies or give the option to remove them immediately and as often as needed. Teams want to decide for themselves who to take in and when. 🧨 💣 The worst terrible mistake the devs made is taking something away from players: reducing member slots and the resources earned for that is unacceptable. Some alliances have 18 members and have earned that right. The same goes for their number of guards. The problem is that others can never reach that. But the solution must never be to take something away. Instead, every alliance must have the opportunity to earn as many members (and guards) as the currently largest alliance. With a lot of work and time, one should be able to reach that; otherwise, developing an alliance makes no sense. So, reverse the reduction of member numbers! 💀 Weekly tasks were meant to promote teamwork, but the opposite is true. For us, tasks that can only be completed by Boreal players exclude all other members. This has nothing to do with increased teamwork. 🙄 Apart from that the tasks are boring. In other games there are funny mini-games for example. Here it remains with stupid grinding. Disappointing. 🥱 I could list many more issues, but when update 9.1 comes, there will surely be many new improvements that will cause outrage. 😅 But: Don’t take anything away from people again to make it 'fairer.' Never!! Show us in 9.1 that you have at least understood that. 😔

We: “Wildcard” ID CWCYTS , still can’t pick up any gold since the update. Also we had a lot of excess building material in all of our buildings and have not get it back. On top of that the developers are not responding to in game support request or zen desk.

Holy.. where do i begin… well aside from what everyone else is saying which i agree with. Some of these tasks force players to do things they dont want to do but have to, to get buffs. Like 75 waves of CT. Or scouting a base etc. or safe looting which is trash, or if you cleared all bandit hideouts and have a quest to clear four outposts but cant since they are on cooldown for longer than the mission will be available you instantly lose one buff there. Unless someone gets a reset at the right time. Also total Contribution was fixed where it showed all our contribution but once this first week reset from the new update it took 100k off my total contribution again?? Like just have one for total and never erase it and one for weekly. It is disappointing that it keeps deleting work that i would like to see that motivates me to grind. Also a refund on lost resources and a alliance resource chest would be great. Also regards to the tournament play in divisions take away the points being lost when getting robbed. It should just focus on effort of the team and revenge raids should be only to retrieve gold lost but not count towards the points on the leaderboard. This will keep it not about who gets revenge raided more and rather who is doing the most raiding. And on a side note nothing to do with 9.0 but make rubber a drop item in loot boxes at least at boss outposts and gold purchasing as a side option for extra rubber for impatient players or people who just want to stop up and have no other use for gold. Increase nickel nodes in Salt Mine it is atrocious the amount per trip we get for the effort and difficulty of the location.

Overall I have enjoyed this update although I think it need a little motivation for players to gather more useful feedback. What about returning the Gold Fever Update 7.9 some days to motivate players to play Gold Rush. Its a win win, you get a lot of feedback and players some rewards

Addition to previous feedback:

What is missing regarding 9.0 is a detailed explanation of how exactly the new features work. Especially how gold and points are counted in raids (I am aware that there are countless bugs here and that gold is currently being deducted from rookies).
Explanations about the rookie system would also be appropriate.
The most serious issues are (from my perspective):

  1. The distorted member count, meaning alliances with 18 members and a limit of 12 for all others. I repeat: all alliances must have the opportunity to expand to the same member count as the currently largest alliance. Our HQ is at maximum = 12 members. A rookie reaches level 90 and can never become a member since we already have 12 members. At the same time others have 18 members. Great. This makes no sense and needs urgent change.
  2. The weekly tasks for bonuses depend only on the HQ and can therefore only be played by high levels (Boreal). No teamwork is possible. Mixed alliances with smaller, medium, and larger players get no chance. This completely contradicts the idea of establishing rookies and bringing smaller players into alliances.
  3. For two weeks in a row, you have to farm thousands of the same resources that you don’t need. This makes no sense and is just annoying. And boring. These are real weaknesses that ruin the fun of the game.
    To the devs: Please take a close look at this and find appropriate solutions without taking away from players what they have worked hard to earn.

Hello, yesterday when I went online in the evening I noticed a message in the Gold Rush chat with a video, so we've been raided. The issue is that on the map was no Base for revenge raid. I'm the only member + 6 rookies. I believe the base should stay until I get online then the timer starts giving me 7h for revenge raid.
Could you please check this out.

I must say I’m pretty confused about this point too. This will create unbalance inside the alliance. Some players will have to take care of their bots but not all? Not to mention smaller alliances will be able to attack bigger ones, so we are back to the beginning? But with a lot of ressources lost and less defenders 🥲 Sounds pretty unfair to me. Let’s wait for the update to see how it really looks.

“Defender Posts Around Buildings: The number of Defender placements has been reduced to better match the current alliance size limits.”

It says less posts around buildings though not less defenders .. so maybe, instead of having 4 posts in Saloon, for example, we’ll have 3 🤷🏻‍♀️ so we will have to use others buildings to create our defence. I rather have that than less defenders indeed.

Never seen such a huge disaster in any game update.

The alliance system overhaul was due, it's basic ideas are ok, but the actual implementation was disastrous. Apart from hundreds of annoying bugs, the system has become hugely unbalanced, unfair and ridiculously boring.
Gold Rush has become a mystery. How any gains or losses in gold or leaderboard points are calculated is not explained and complete bahooney.
Weekly alliance tasks are based on HQ level, which means 2/3 of our alliance can contribute very little, while our top players have to farm ridiculous amounts of wood or stone nobody needs anymore. Some tasks are not achievable at all, as t6 bandit camps reset only once a week and most members cannot even play in t6.
The rookie system is a nice idea, but badly done. Automatic approval is a nightmare for alliance leaders.
Membership numbers are a disaster, leading to further unfair imbalances.

I could go on for much longer...

And with 9.1 all you can think of is taking from us again??? How stupid is that? Many members are frustrated, many think of quitting and all you can do is making it even worse? You cannot continue saying that you listen to us players and still come up with such "improvements" that are a slap to the face of true and loyal players. Shame on you, big shame. We deserve a huge apology and real improvements. Reviews in playstore are going down, have you noticed? I have completely stopped investing real coin and hope many more will do so as well. If it is money that counts for you as a company, that will hurt you most.

This update has so many bugs!
I just revenged my stolen gold, got more than I lost and still can't collect gold. Wasn't in debt before, should be able to collect.
I will not only loose the 12 gold from revenge but also the 11 gold till I'm out of "debt".
Very nice downgrade, get rid of that crap and make it work again.

The reason for the anger is not only the content of the Alliance update but also the communication (!) from the devs. It consists solely of the joyful announcement of a new event and how happy they are with the wonderful development of the game and how perfectly everything is going. So happy! 🥳
But hey, if there are problems ask support for help. They won`t respond, but that’s not important. The tiny little irritations are fixed so enjoy. 🥂 🍾

Do you want feedback for 9.0 and 9.1? It's tragic and illogical and a big step backwards. We spent years building and wanted to grow. Now it's not possible. It's not normal for all Alis to be equal. It's stupid.

Alliance tasks :
I have no intention on doing spirit cave at the moment. 3rd time I'm infesting lower levels that are trying to get ahead because I have to kill the last boss for the alliance.
This has to be looked at pleas it's not fair for the lower level players.

Well, goldrush mathematics was never really understandable, but now it is outright bahooney. And if that was not enough then some cheater comes along and wreaks complete havoc outside of the game mechanics, because devs fail again and again to stop this.

The devs have just one seemingly simple job - code a game that will be fun to play for a certain kind or a wide range of players. If you think constantly annoying your most loyal players is the way to succeed, then you are a complete failure.

@dry gazelle Update 9.0 The most terrible for 4 years of my game.
Old problems remained !!! 1) One player kills 10-12 defenders without problems. By turning off the electricity, a spotlight.
The decision to remove the lighting function, each defender must have the most visibility of the night and day.
2) Attack, we take 25 gold. The answer comes to take away 115.
The solutions cannot be more than robbed. I stole 25, so they can steal as much as possible for me 25 is very important !!!
3) A small number of defenders are 12 people, there is no way to protect the power station, station, headquarters, tower.
The decision to return the old number of participants in the alliance at least 16.
4) Return the defender on the headquarters balcony, 4 tower, place of strength +3 defender. There is too little variety in combination of people's arrangement.
5) reduced gold mining by double. I personally built an alliance for 3 years for the production of 120 gold. These are the murders of the game T6 Epic was not playable, now it makes no sense to make a set. To repair the T6 epic after the attack, too much gold will be required. With prey of 3-5 per day, this is 100 days* approximately.
PS Personal opinion !!! A few more similar updates and the game can be removed without regret.
