Ranch defenses just fall by themselves! 🤬

Why do defenses exist on ranches? I'm talking about the sandbags, the stakes, the barbed wire.

Just today, after a long time, I was able to see how the raiders attack my ranch.

I always thought they destroyed defenses using axes and the reason they destroyed so many was because it took me a long time to find them.

But no, today I saw how as soon as they arrive the defenses automatically fall, they do nothing, the defenses fall by themselves! 😡

Hi Arzhur,

I understand your frustration( i really do). Higher-level bandits can destroy sandbags and wooden stakes quickly, but if your defenses are falling automatically, that sounds like a bug.

Can you send us a video showing this problem? It will help us report it to the developers.

They fall when high lvl bandits barely touches them. Thats because the only good defense is strong walls. Sandbags, stakes and barbed wire are only aesthetics.

I wish I have one. Sadly, that took me by surprise. Didn't know that is what happens.

Catching bandits as soon as they arrive is something that has very rarely happened to me.

That shouldn't be like that, it ruins the possibility of building my ranch to my liking. Barriers should work! I don't think I'm asking for anything crazy, do I?

@old flare To me it doesn't seem like a bug, it makes a lot of sense that devs programmed it this way on purpose, to pretend some difficulty of the attacks and maximize the damage to the ranch.

How then do you explain the sound effects of the axes hitting if the bandits don't use them? Raiders didn't even touch my defenses, they spawn and my barbed wire just exploded!

Always telling us to play straight, don't using cheats. And then devs do this to us.

Yeah defences as you mention don't work. I've seen a dude run down the side of my ranch smashing every barbed wire obstacle as he ran. No biggie.. used them as storage.

What does work, for me, is one ranch entrance & twin walls at the appropriate upgrade level.

I only have walls, when I think about it, actually why these barriers if they are so weak.

barriers, bags, spikes should be limited (10 pieces max) and indestructible like outbuildings or with a strength of at least 5 hits

It is not right, devs can't just go away with this. Something has to be done about it.

Thanks, building the ranch is my favorite part of the game, so I've invested a lot of time on it.

There is not need to limit those items or making them indestructible. Devs just have to be fair with the players and make them useful as they were supposed to be.

Stake and wire is very low tiers defence for low level players. If you are facing bandits who can cracked them with 1 hit with their axe, that means who reached advanced level, cowboy. When you reach higher level like us, we have no sandbags/stakes/wires no more at our ranch. We just slaughter them with our sabre. Actually if you reach higher level, you don’t have free land for things like sandbag and wires

Barrier actually works, if you place the sandbags like a labyrinth which allows bandits to reach your boxes by going a “winding” way, and the stakes by the side with the spike out will do them damage (tiny if you are not beginner level).

Well with you level, to justify the equivalent amount of toughness making it “not destroyed easily” during lvl 118 bandit raid, the making of those sandbag and stakes should be

Extremely high hahahahha

Might be you should suggest to the dev that the sandbag and stakes could be upgraded too like floor tiles and walls

That might best fit your idea of building it like a real ranch!

No they actually touched. Look carefully the bandits all raised their axes when the reach the stakes. But the stakes HP is low so they destroyed them in one shot. Bandits and also for us, we all have no attack cooldown after One shot, so that’s why them starting to fire immediately

You can see the bandit took out their axe to attack. But it showed only a moment and then disappeared because the damage is delivered the moment the attack start. The instant collapse of the stakes cancelled the bandit’s axe chopping animation

This is actually a trick we can use for weapons with low attack rate, which is called “stutter step”

Dev never being fair. They are evil, leading by their evil leader who try his/her best to make our game life difficult but call it ‘make it more realistic’

The dmg is so low that it can be disregarded. Any t3 wall is superior.

I never get robbed with at least 2 layers of walls. Bandits 100% of the time stop after destroying the first layers. I guess they run out of dynamite/axes.

Best defense is "offense". I placed a chest outside with some items i wouldnt mind losing and bandits didnt try to take it.

5 bandits froze the whole time

I find the bandits actually quite picky with what to loot… they somehow do not even give a glance to the cheap stuffs I put inside the box that I place at the outskirt of my ranch…
