Stay in ranch and exit the game,when you open the game next day,and enter ranch then the fight will begin with raiders just kill them.
Timer will stop automatically if you stay at your ranch while being offline.

Next time play with planning...it usually takes 6:30 to 7 hours for them to reach, for me though. Also for tonight get offline with proper preparation like Gun, armor and ointments. When you would login u may not get time to acquire those.
