Alligator Leathers?

I have been killing tons of alligators but only 1/15 drops alligator leather. Is this the normal drop rate? I need it to fix my cabin at Deepwater.

and if your basic stat is not 115 and you using rings for them wendigo is useful

wait till night tame an alligator and make it chase wendigo then unequip ring so the animal will continue chasing but you still able to tame more alligators

with this trick i got 200 t5 leathers and 20 alli leathers after 20 rounds
