How can Euro prices be twice as cheap as sterling ? In every other game I have played in app purchases whether dollars or euro’s have been similar given the variance on exchange rates

In app purchases are standardised across the globe but subject to currency price fluctuations. Let’s put is this way I am taking it up with apple and not spending one penny more as you get wealthy and breadline populations in every country

Ironically most prices like beer cigarettes are different because of a countries taxation policy on such goods. In the U.K. a packet of 20 cigarettes is something like £ 16 in most EU countries they are far cheaper as the U.K. adds 85% tax. Apple and other online platforms do not face tax levels in most jurisdictions where they operate.
