Serious Sam 4 Italia Reworked is the final version of Reworked.
The planned France and Russia chapters have been sadly scrapped so I've settled with reworking and polishing the Italy chapter. A huge amount of time was spent on tidying up and fixing the pacing of these levels and they are very much different to the original versions. You'll see. Is good.

It includes levels Death from Above to Gates of Heck (1-5). The rest of the levels will be released in due course.

dude this is a awesome rework hopefully one day man maybe you can have time to go back and try to fiddle with the other levels maybe even could get help on it either way great work dude

Ah ok! It sucks that the full version of the mod got cancelled!

I do understand that the two France levels are huge and might be a nightmare to rework, but I hope someday you change your mind and atleast rework the levels after One for the Road (viva la resistance onwards) as they are more linear, but I 100% understand about commitment issues.

Loved the first builds of the mod so can't wait to play this one ❤️

I was considering starting from Viva Resistance at one stage actually. But who knows, I have a rough version of Anathema made so maybe one day i'll get it finished.

Ah yes I had someone else request the same. I have it on a list of things to do whenever I have the time since it wouldn't take too much effort so we will see : )

I waited until more maps were reworked to play this. And with the Italy chapter completed now I decided to play through it.

Where do I begin? I guess I'll start with what I didn't like. The main one is framerate, but thats not your fault, and it felt smoother than I remember those levels being, not sure if it's your doing. And thats about it; there's a couple of spots where you can go out of bounds but I didn't care. Also Exitus Acta Probat took me to the menu rather than to Gates of Heck.

Now, this has some of the tightest combat encounters I've seen in modern Sam. The difficulty was just right, the enemy placement was great, the enemy choice was good, the progression felt great, and it felt like all fights had a lot of thought put into them. The pacing I think is too fast for someone who hasn't played SS4 before, but as a replay it's excellent.
I loved the machete, very good against zealots and it felt great to get a bunch of enemies lined up. I loved even more that you lose all your gadgets at the end of each level, which made me use them a lot more. I liked the enemies patrolling, the floating weapons made them stand out more, and the new music of Gates of Heck slaps. I'm sure I'm missing more stuff. The highlight for me was that Khnum arena at the end of Exitus, beautiful stuff samfeelgood

Glad to hear you got around to playing!

So yeah, performance nothing to do with me lol. At least I don't think so. Serious engine magic I guess. I'm looking at fixing issues such as the one you pointed out btw so that should be good soon!

Glad you liked the machete and see just how useful/fun it is. Had a few complaints about it already so you're one more reason to stick to my guns and keep it included yougotit

nothing wrong with the mechette wish you could change in the resource manager if you wanted to when playing it doe

Well you could also remove machete from inventory using NRM and then add axe instead perhaps?

I think it has to show up in the resource manager and the machete dosent for me I can recheck when I get home doe
