Level up to the level mentioned where you get it in shop and buy blueprints. Also the 78 blueprints thats a starway event. You need like 6 cars unlocked and finish some races to get blueprints for the event car.

yea so you dont unlock the car after you get the first 85 bp for it and then wait for the next time the even comes and then do everything in the first step of starway again for another 85bp and then unlock and car and finish the starway, this way u can get the car to 6* for free rather than it being stuck at 5*. This works with all the starway except for the onyx (im pretty sure it doesnt work with the onyx starway as i heard it from someone else)

It works as long as you don't take the final step and star it up to 5. As soon as you get to 5 stars the event disappears from your menu, and you won't see it again. When you get enough blueprints 5 stars (or 4 in the case of 5 star cars), don't star up. Just wait until next time and keep going that way until you have enough to max it. Then star up and the event will go away. It works well for the cars that need many bp's, such as the Speedtail and Onyx

I think the trend is that higher the star you get there is less chance to get any epics unless you are at 5% or less.
For most of my 1 star car hunt cars, I got one epic but for the cars I managed to get at high stars I never got a single epic even if I end up 25%
