TL/DR what and how someone prefers rice may not be what is best or preferred by someone else but by no means makes their / your food bad or not prepared properly just because someone else doesn't prefer it that way. (scratches head)
I don't know if you use a rice cooker but my zojirushi makes perfect Jasmine rice and it looks exactly like is seen in his picture.
What I've found is how different parts of Asian cultures prefer their rice cooked a different way and some think that is the only possible way it should be cooked. For instance there are some here that make comments about my rice if I top it with sauces / gravy / liquid as if its not ever supposed to be like that yet there are millions of people in cultures who eat their rice dishes just like that. I don't know about others but can't live my life being so preferentially biased with food it would leave me so limited in my cultural experiences from eating other cultures style of preparing things such as rice.
Even in the USA there are so many different ways people prepare rice depending on where people are from, one does not make the other wrong in their way of preparing food / rice. Japanese / Thai / Indian / Malaysian / Chinese just to name a few asian countries I've had limited food experience with each have multiple ways of cooking the same type of rice - there is almost no possible way to look at a picture as such and tell if the rice in that state is undercooked it just isn't possible unless you put it in your mouth.

I've had some really amazing pig trotters and then I've also had some served that I wouldn't eat because it smelled horrific. But I'm adventurous in what I'll try especially if its a cultural delicacy. For instance Mexican food culture has some foods that most people who are accustomed to eating them would be very put off and disgusted but there is a reason millions of people love it and eat it. Borne out of necessity people have taken the only things they could find to eat so they wouldn't starve to death and tried making them as appealing and tasty as possible. Rotting Cabbage is a must have on most meal tables in parts of Asian and Europe. Rotting Fish / Shrimp Juice & Paste is also a huge staple in most Asian kitchens. Rotten bean by product is a necessity in a lot of culinary cultures around the world derived into pastes, sauces, juices. There are plenty of major food items in every single culture in every single country that someone somewhere is going to judge disgusting without even have tried or tasted...

We made them as my wife's family is originally from Oaxaca Mexico and when we lived in Los Angeles there was a market that sold authentic from Oaxaca so once a month we'd go pick up ingredients like those grasshoppers and authentic Oaxacan cheese. However the picture displayed is not mine it just represented the very thing I'd eat regularly.

@left radish Finnish black sausage is made from pork, pig's blood, crushed rye and flour. It's also roasted so it's closer to a regular sausage than black pudding. It has a nice meaty but also a little crunchy texture to it thanks to the crushed rye. It's usually eaten with lingonberry jam. Black pudding is more similar to our blood pancakes. The batter is made by mixing pig's blood, rye flour (or oatmeal like in black pudding) and minced onions.

I guess some people don't know that wonton noodles are in fact "technically" classic egg noodles which makes (the noodles on the left) Mi = Chinese Wonton Noodles that were brought to Vietnam by Chinese. This technically makes both noodles pictured classic Wonton Noodles. Though I suppose you can technically argue since neither were produced in China they aren't classic anything but delicious...
Chinese classic egg noodles come in many different shapes and sizes including but not limited to Yao Mein (幼麵), Chow Mein (炒麵), Lo Mein (撈麵/撈麪), and Wonton Mein (雲吞麵) 😉
