those louvers around the wall of the basket are just punched out & have sharp edges on them. When we got it & I unpacked it to wash the basket before using it, I slid the dishcloth over those louvers & it sliced a hole in the dishcloth & my finger. Then I had to clean the blood off the darn thing before I could use it....

So even though they did not use that specific dye, the public was in such a panic over anything red in the food category, the company decided to remove them instead of explaining the type of dye they used.

If you get the 'just add water' pancake mix, I just dump the mix in a bowl, add a little water at a time stirring it until it looks right for me & then I keep mixing it until the batter is very smooth & creamy. pour it into a very hot skillet & cook. Flip, put on plate, smother in butter & syrup & eat....

After dough thaws out, cut each loaf into thirds & set each piece aside to raise some. then flatten the dough out, place one slice of mozzarella cheese on the dough
...then sliced pepperoni & a spoonful of peppers (forgot to take a photo of the peppers) ..
then roll it all up, sealing all seams so nothing falls out while it bakes. Preheat oven for 350 degrees F & bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown & dough is baked all the way through.

Here are a few cheats for the kitchen--
Pour a can of Dr. Pepper over ribs or a roast so the flavor of the soft drink will infuse into the meat.
On you cheat days & you just have to have a chocolate cake-- take a standard box of chocolate cake mix, ignore all the directions except for the baking time. Dump the cake mix in a mixing bowl & 1 12 ounce can of Coke----- that is it, nothing else. Mix well & pour into cake pan & bake as directed on the box. Nice fluffy tasty cake.

@glossy carbon need your help since you seem to be a pretty good chef.... Cube steak is my kryptonite of the food category. I can't get it tender. I go 3 rounds with it with a meat hammer until it looks like one of Rocky's opponents, but it still comes out tough for my wife to eat. Should I try an overnight marinade or try breading it instead of just taking a meat hammer to it? Or any other ways to tenderize that style of beef?
