@ionic sky @misty dune @undone plaza Gameloft made it absolutely clear that using glitches in Grand Prix is considered cheating. The last time there was widespread use of a glitch in Elite GP, players who used it got a 5-day ban. Given that this GP is for a key, I would expect more than 5 days.

Issues about how good a player is, how much they benefited, whether it was an accident or not, etc are completely irrelevant. Gameloft sets the rules, not us.

This is a pretty stupid question. When Gameloft decide rewards they look at average credits, reputation points and so on. Because bot teams make absurd amounts of credits, trade coins and reputation points, the average is much higher than the real average a human player makes. Thus giving the average players less credit rewards, setting reputation points for club milestones much higher than an average club can make a.s.o. That's how it affects me personally.

I highly doubt they do that. Bot teams do over 10mln rep and it isn't the limit. Yet the highest milestone was set only at 7mln rep. Plus, recent seasons, where you could get all club rewards by reaching ~6mln rep in 28 days, didn't go that far from worldwide release seasons where you'd need only 3.5mln rep but in the course of 14 days. Also, rewards have been degrading in every aspect of the game, even where botting gives little to zero advantage. So, noone else to blame here but Gameloft.
And, just to add, average player gets average rewards, and average rewards are much lower than best-of-the-best. That's what average stands for

If you look at the maximum rep amount, you're missing the point. They look at the average and they set the required rep points grouped on percentages like for example: 1% of clubs should get all milestones, 5% should get all but 2 milestones a.s.o. Now since out of the 1% clubs more than half teams use bots, real clubs that would be in 1% if you remove the botting teams are cheated out of their rewards and have to settle for less rewards.

That's nice to add, but bot teams not affecting the max rep is exactly what I meant. After the worldwide release the game is starting so playerbase is almost pure (I mean, exploits are yet to be found, bots yet to be set etc etc), and we have 3.5mln rep for two weeks. The game goes on, being exploited and botted, new holes are being discovered, but we still have around 3.5mln rep per two weeks. If bots were affecting this number, it would go higher. In other words, removing bots from this calculation essentially doesn't change these percentages, and we'd be stuck with similar result. Maybe, if rewards were given by percentages themselves, we'd see a change. But we can't know that now

This is probably because while the game was being exploited, the number of players didn't increase by much, so it's risky to play with percentages there when your customer base is pretty much fixed. Asphalt 9 probably had a players boost last March with the start of the pandemic lockdown and that's probably when they started to have a larger margin to play with percentages and we started to saw a lot more changes in rewards each update.

As I remember, at worldwide release we had seasons where not even 50 teams got it, which is, again, when botting was just starting

I also found another approach to this problem. Like, 1% who bot could make life harder for those who're in 50% because they're rising the requirements. But, let's say 100 teams make the average of 1.5mln rep. When we add one bot team which makes 7mln rep (4x more than average of those 100), the average of current 101 teams becomes 1.570k. So, even in this case botting barely affects these players.

You’re using as example Android, but Android has much more players than IOS. In IOS, barely 50 clubs, if that make all milestones. Boting usage here (the initial example is from IOS) is much more damaging.

Yeah, GL actually does things to prevent botting like removing infinite fuel from mp2 and intentionally slowing your car down if the game doesn't recieve any input for 10secs

And while it's not effective, it hurts other players (who doesn't like infinite fuel?)
Only possible way to prevent botting is to cut rewards for things you get with botting (in this case - last place of multiplayer). But I doubt the players will appreciate this move

For him he is not lagging and everyone else is/the game is not lagging. Tho it will say that the player has bad connection right after the race begins.

This results to said player playing/racing normally but his opponents are lagging behind him . Meanwhile on the opponents side he is the only one lagging out.

If he drives properly he will come first but depending on how bad his internet is will determine how long the game will register him passing the finish line.

By the looks of it his internet connect become stable just in time before the other races crossed the finish line which the game will count as him coming first.

I know its a problem but it seems to be a exploit by having bad connections. So what I suggest is: Since the server recognize these bad
connections, then they should be disqualified from the race. It only a race and no one gets banned by accident. The racer gets notified and nothing is deducted or added by the bad connection. The exploit or hack becomes useless. Then all that is left are the true hacks.
