Same for me. I assume that, if you jump too high, the game tries to load/unload the decor around the player, but struggles and freezes.

@stuck viper I was able to do all 5 fenyr attempts (and one more by accident lol). No crashes whatsoever. 3 before and 3 after the unleashed event appeared. I have not yet attempted any of the unleashed.

@quasi hedge I find it helps to reset the game when switching between mp and other limited events, the frequency of crashes reduces. It’s a little tedious but at least you’re not losing 3 tickets for a race you couldn’t attempt.

Just play some race on others mode then play unleashed contest event.
Almost guaranteed crashed.

Just got kicked out of the game completely and it won't reconnect. Same happened to my cousin. Just spinning on the loading screen, followed by "an error has occurred. Please try again later".

I've had lots of crashes recently too. It's so frustrating. You get 20 attempts at the Trion daily. They are 3 tickets each, which means you need regular access to your switch for 10 hours. Every time your game crashes in those attempts then that's another 30 minutes you need to add on. How can we be expected to progress in this event in this way? This game is meant for mobile. When they released it on switch they should adapt it for switch players (and lower refuel times is not enough). I understand it is not easy to give tickets back after a crash because the game does not know if it was ended by the user at the main menu, but I am sure it is easy to reduce ticket refill times to 1 minute until the crashes are fixed.

I've had more game crashes this weekend than in all the past 3 months...
Crash during Trion Event, lost 3 tickets and Fenyr fuel.
Crash during Fenyr event, lost ticket and Fenyr Fuel
Crash during Centenario event, lost ticket and Centenario fuel.
Multiple crashes during World Series
I completely close the game every time before putting the Switch to sleep, so it's always a fresh start.
And I've already archived and reinstalled, when I saw some multiple "Download Error" messages in the shop on Friday morning.

Apparently there's a 1st and 2nd gen switch. Me and you might have the 1st one that has heating issues while docked. But it actually heats up because of it charging, playing a game, and connecting to your TV. It can't do all those at the same time. Personal opinion on that though

2nd gen switch has a better battery (almost 2x battery life). Don’t think any other hardware changed, unless the fix for that was completely software related

i believe the crash happened frequently since last week, it shouldn’t relate to 1st or 2nd gen and heat dissipation(heat dissipation issue exist long time ago), highly likely GL is updating the software and causing the crash.

If your device is crashing I find it helps to reset when switching between MP and daily events. I know for me it reduces the frequency of the crashes. It’s a little tedious but it beats the alternative.

@slow sable not 100% true. For example in himalaya if you wreck just before or after 1of a very long jump you respawn after the jump. Never before. So for this place in rome it could be nice to respawn somewhere safe.

I know why that is caused. After pressing the "REPLAY" button, the car turns very sharply to one side. If it hits a wall after turning, the game crashes. If it doesn't hit a wall, then the game can restart the race.

@cold geode thats probably a case of joycon drift or something else on the controller end.
You can try use the arrow pad as opposed to the joystick, or try tilt to steer as well. But if you’d prefer using the joystick I can only recommend you get it serviced and repaired. I don’t know what you’ve got where you live but where I’m from you can get them repaired for about 1/3rd if the price of a new set. Hope this helps

It is saved if you archive the software. Deleting and reinstalling will remove quick race progress but archiving keeps all progress for quick races

It showed there was a purchase limit of 1 but I was able to purchase it twice. I made the purchase, I got the tokens and credits. And then the $0.99 pack was still there, so I tried to purchase again. It went through and I got the tokens again.

Same issues on the trion event for me too. The game crashes on average 3 times per day and this frustrates given that 3 tickets are wasted each time. I regularly archive the software and download fresh.

On todays expert race for 200,000 credits I have had the game crash with the 'game has crashed due to an unknown error' at the same place three times. The crash happens near the end of the race on the high level route approx. half way between the 2 trains.

Agree Zaldlum, normally I am not bothered given the amount of time I play the game. The frequency of crashes over the last few days has been markedly higher than normal for me. I got two separate 15 blueprint jackpots today in the same day so it has been a great day (blueprints) and a bad day (crashes) playing Asphalt at the same time.

Guys try restarting between switching from MP to Daily or to Trio events. We’re working on a fix but as you can see not everyone gets them. Also they seem to happen on weekends mostly rather than during the week.

12 crashes this evening. It is really easy to reproduce. Play a WS race(s), go to dailies and play Expert race. Crash mid-race. Playing most other ones crashes on race loading ("zoning"). Switch back and forth and debug please. This has gone on long enough.

By the way I did a fresh download this morning because the images for the new events weren't loading.

P.S. If you guys know a way to remote debug contact me and I'll help. I have no idea if Switch allows for this sort of thing, but happy to assist. Short of that, is the game sending crash reports back to you?

Hello guys, we found the problems causing the crashes, but unfortunately the fix requires a new update and the approval process with Nintendo takes time. What I can suggest is to restart the game if you enter the shop, and if the images don't download anymore, leave it like that.

the crashes happen so frequently now and even if you only play LTEs (without changing game modes), it's not funny anymore. At least make the tickets refill faster or reduce the required amount for events, it's not like it would hurt you and you definitely don't need an update for that.

3 crashes so far today. Keeps interfering with completion of daily and special LTEs.
1 - First attempt at Genty Free Try: Crash - lost ticket and Genty Fuel
2 - I forget the details of this one. I gave up and just put my Switch to sleep after it.
3 - Start up the gamrbagain, and my First attempt at Expert Race: Crash - lost 3 tickets and Fenyr Fuel.
Just archived and am re-downloading AGAIN. No other game on my Switch crashes with this level of frequency.

The fix is to restart your game after any mp runs before you touch dailys. @wanton lily @mellow furnace @abstract rose , the devs also said stop trying to reinstall as it will make things worse

No that's not an universal fix.
That works for some but not for everyone.
No they didn't, they said not to reinstall if your version didn't crash but had problem with the Daily Events images loading.

A very tiny issue: “+ settings” is displayed on every screen. But the + button takes you to Setting screen only when you are at homepage. At any other screen it takes you back to Home page.

With the new update, you no longer have a normal button to refill the fuel on cars. You have to hit a tiny arrow button in the small box that has the fuel can. This is so cumbersome in trying to go through and refuel cars after a play session where all fuel wasn't used. Please put the button back. The "Skip" button does show while a car is refueling so maybe it just got hidden by accident?

@shy prairie doesn’t help anything. Even after pressing that button, my game crashed during a race where I should have gained 40 points, but I lost 20 instead. Please at least return the fuel to the car and make it so we don’t lose points. That issue caused me to not be able to finish top 100.

@shy prairie I don’t like that Cache clearing button... or let’s say the fact that it is there.
Although it works for most issues, it’s such a bad solution. Players have press a button or delete and redownload the game over and over... just because the devs can’t get the glitch fixed the right way... oof

The team found a link between cache and crashes and made that button so it'll be helpful to you. Don't use it if you don't like it.
I'm going to recommend it nevertheless because for a lot of people it solves the icon download error and the crashes. 🙂

ofc things do tend to break but it’s been one whole year of glitches over glitches
that should be enough time to get it done correctly and not just give the players possibilities and advice so they can work around it themselves...

@dense harness You are probably in the update that Global had that had to be COPPA & GDPR compliant. Anyone <16 will not be able to access some portions of the game now due to those US & International laws. This is not something Gameloft had any control over. Those laws are mandatory for all game development companies & not negotiable. The game companies either had to comply or their games would no longer be available in the EU & EEA.

@shy prairie there is one thing that is really bugging me. When it comes to daily goals, I usually like to complete all of them first, then collect it. After the update, everytime I exit the daily events screen or the multiplayer screen, the daily goals pop up and there's no way to stop it. It has honestly gotten really annoying having to press that X over and over again.

With the latest update. There is no class D car that can get the last reward on Class D cup (beat 1:20) using touchdrive. The DS-etense can do it before the update but barely. you guys need to fix touchdrive so it does not release acceleration unexpectedly. Also on Android the time to beat is 1:30

I'd like to report a bug I've had happen quite a few times in the past 2-3 months while driving the Trion Nemesis (it may affect other cars but I've not tested with those). If you've had touchdrive activated in a race and then turned it off, the car starts to leave tyre marks on the ground and quickly bleeds off speed whenever you put in any steering input.

On Nile River my Nemesis can easily carry 270mph+ through that section of gentle kinks between the bridge and the final corkscrew under normal conditions but if I've turned off touchdrive during the race (forgetting to turn it off before the race) it quickly drops to 240 through that first little right hander alone

In a quick test I've done, I can normally drive around the building on the first split path on Shopping Spree in a consistent 115-120mph circle (counter clockwise with the left button held down), but if I toggle touchdrive on and off and try the same thing the speed will quickly drop below 90mph and not have enough speed to maintain the radius of the turn

I know it's weird, but looks like that the right red/white wall in Pantheon Split is not visible until the last second you pass by. Sometimes you're not aware about that and lose the whole race because of this. Seems that their render range is way lower than the rest of the track obstacles.

I know the incorrect fxx k acceleration has already been mentioned here but I wanted to show video proof of it accelerating faster then my scalo (85 acceleration to 315 km/h). The fxx k has 83 acceleration (without epics) and got there quicker while having to go to ~354 km/h

Idk about you but I can't showcase a car anymore. Well... at least with the ones I dont have unlocked yet.

I was playing docked, on my TV. I was going through the garage and when I tried to check out the Lotus Evija (like click the car and turn the camera around, photomode stylez) I just couldnt reach the car. I could go through all the menus but no matter how I moved the joystick, I just couldn't highlight the car to click it.

I have an Issue which is hunting my game to dead.Sometimes my joy-con's disconnect without a reason (it's only happening in A9 and in handheld mode) which is causing me to trigger another issue that @dense harness discovered not long ago and the issue is causing me even sometimes to crash.

There's a lot going on here. This is on offline quick race. If you have any blueprints for a car, it shows up as if you own it. Also, the car display is messed up, and last, the cards aren't updated.

It happens when you have met the conditions for the "Goal Combo" but haven't yet claimed it. It will bug you forever until you claim it. Stephany, this is the issue you wanted a video for.

@dense harness @simple mountain those are age restriction locks. Depending on your real age, you could contact Customer Care to have them correct any age discrepancies in your account. (If you are <16 I don't think you will be able to get anything reset on your accounts by CC)

@pale canopy something went wrong there. I also wrote a Ticket to the customer care like 1 week ago, and nothing reply. Officialy they say, it took up to 72hours to fix a problem, otherwise they contact you with your Ticket number. Sounds good, but nothing happened yet. Oh and i'm 30+ age in reallife.
Another funfact: my clubleader take Screenshots every week clubresettime and last reset for this time(maybe 1or2 ours) my old Name was there, but at the morning i start play again, i named playerxxxx again, so only he could see my old name before the issue. really mysterios i think.

@dense harness yeah, it's the same for me - every time I get assigned to Osaka in MP I get disconnected before the race even starts (I always lose refill and points; -20 in MP2 is not fun), I was so upset yesterday when I got 4 Osaka races in a row...

The game isn't crashing in daily events or multiplayer anymore for me, but quick race is now. I had just gotten on the game, was using quick race to test a trick out and the game crashed near the finish line. Himalayas. This isn't the first time either in the last few days.

Also I'm hearing that people are getting it when pressing the replay button at the end of a race. Didn't happen to me when I tested it though. Just happens randomly mid race for me.

@shy prairie if you try to type a check list for example, the chat system refuse to validate your entry. You have to have all your text on the same continous line. If you press enter to jump to the next line the chat system will deny you to publish it

It's more a display issue. In some tracks, the game will display the wrong labels (always 1/2/3 instead of the 3 in front of you).

I occasionally get disconnected from any track (it's in no way frequent though), but the real issues are with Osaka tracks only (I can never connect there), all other locations work normally most of the time
