I'm getting unplayable amounts of server/input lag in 3/4 MP races. My ping/connection is green/good, so I don't think that's the problem. On top of that, in most races, the matchmaker only gives me 4 or 5 opponents, so I lose points unless I can get 1st or 2nd. It's impossible to do well under these conditions.

It is impossible for casual players who don't play for more then 2hours to have enough tickets to do daily events and the ongoing se. The max amount of tickets should be raised to 20 or have 10 sperate tickets for the se and 10 for daily events.

@left agate You joycon are likely unpairing (if you're playing on handheld). Used to happen to me all the time. I have to have the blue (in my case, left) one pushed upwards a bit or it likes to disconnect. Not unlocked, just pushed up as far as it'll go while still locked.

I remember I got one of them only in the 6th race after startup, so I don't think it's more likely to happen if you let the game run for too long...

Hey, the issues with the crash of the game while playing happens almost to everyone. It's possible that you can't fix problems but just change them? Finally the crash when you start the game is fixed but in a couple of weeks there is another issue. Try to fix it because especially the tickets are only 10, if we lost 1-3 tickets every time it's really impossible to complete every event. Or add some tickets for everyone until you will find a fix, at least. I don't know, do what you want but do something!

I’ve lost 3 hours worth of event tickets and fuel on my fxx k and Aventador and Rezvani and Fenyr. We have an apollo hunt and all this good limited time stuff and I’m not able to do it because the game is crashing.
I’m reinstalling the game for the 3rd time. Reinstalling it usually helps for a day or 2 then the bugs re-emerge.
@cosmic bloom they could compensate us by giving us reduced ticket time or reduced ticket cost for events that require more than 1. Make it 1 ticket for everything or give us free fuel for events.

If you're wondering why you aren't getting more issues reported, it's because the Customer Care form on GL website requires selection of 'store', but has no options to select, so it prevents submission of an otherwise completed form.

⭕ Not a major problem, but I just noticed something odd about the Zenvo. Parts will go inside the ground after jumps. I also noticed AI drivers with Zenvo's wheels go slighty inside the ground.
⭕ Also an actual major problem, the game crashed again in a daily event. It was the Open Class Cup - Low Class. I wasted 3 tickets again.

@covert crown This is something that I think pretty much all players can relate, please, if a player starts having a laggy/lack of good internet connection and the red dot appears on top of their car, PLEASE make the car a ghost right after that! They start zig-zagging all around the track and bouncing everyone off it!
It always takes a good amount of time before the game decides to make them a ghost! And by that time everyone got wrecked, pushed off to [player name left the track!] Or even knock us down!

@covert crown i play on tap to steer and if my controller disconnects (even tho its in the console) the race pauses and i spend almost a minute trying to reconnect. And when this happens in a mp race i lose. Is there a way to stop this from happening if not then its a Nintendo thing. please let me know if its fixable.

It is almost always when the track is about to load (goes to black and never comes back - I get the unexpected quit black screen with white text and then dropped in switch home). I I just had it cash mid race on me for the first time I think.

Also, sometimes, when I launch a multiplayer race or some event, the game crashes with a message signifying an error. I tried to archive it and reinstall it but it does it anyway. But it's not very serious because it doesn't do it often.

Game is stuck on splash screen with loading animation. Before this, I closed it because it was giving me a "network not syncing" and I thought maybe it would get resolved by restarting the game. That didn't help at all obviously and neither did restarting the console. What to do, other than wait and see if it gets resolved by itself?

In case anyone is wondering, got it running again by starting another game and when it did load up (took unusually long, not sure if related), closing it and starting A9 again. Now if only the game stopped giving me the network not syncing error. are servers overloaded or something?
After a little while, game returned to splash screen on its own with music playing, never got back again so I restarted it and now I'm back where I was. I thought this was out for a while, really strange to see this kind of issues. Even if it's because of servers, one can't really even play the offline modes if they're, well, offline...?

A number of times today I got taken out multiple times. Meaning, just when I am getting control back (or maybe even before) someone else destroys my car again.. One time this happened twice (3 crashes total) putting me in last place in races that are too short to even try to come back.
Also, I'm still getting a lot of crashes causing me to loose tickets (probably 9 today since I was doing the 3-ticket races). Is there any way to get these back?)

I've noticed something weird. It may be considered a bug, but it's not a negative one.
- Normally, the game runs in 720p in handheld mode, or in 1080p in TV mode.
- However, if you "switch" (haha) from handheld to TV without closing the game, it remains in 720p.
- Side effect: the game keeps the framerate at 60 FPS easier.

Well, the problem here is obvious, theres no reason to count that as a off-track when my car was going to land perfectly in the ship. The track is Ancient Ruins and i'm sure that i'm not the only one who got a -20 because a bad coded track hitbox kills all chances of winning the race, then theres rocks and walls that speed you up instead of making you crash.
PD: What a good respawn point 500m behind and in a middle of an intersection.

Had a smimilar issue in Rome a few times but I think it was because I flew too high above the street. Game definitely has a hard time deciding when it's time to respawn you sometimes.

There was a similar issue a few months ago with an older version of the game. As a temporary fix, I think you can archive and redownload the game to solve this problem. (Your save data remain unaffected.)

It's likely that E-Tense's red flame double nitro has been put on the cheater board by a bug that keeps it unusually well. I also got put in using E-Tense when I was raising my rate with MP two seasons ago.

In the cheater board, club fames aren't counted, other people find them in rankings. And they are connected to a dedicated server that MPs would have a hard time matching.

The devs seriously need to fix the performance for this game. Like seriously, my switch overheats less than 5 minutes while playing and I have to turn it off after I finished racing mp or other races so it could cool down. The framerate is also bad, everytime the console overheats, the fps will go down tremendously below 10-30 fps and sometimes the game freezes for a couple of seconds. I just cant stand having this issue constantly and have to stop playing because of hot the console gets. please fix this...
playing other high-end games like doom or fortnite doesn't really have this issue, while of course the console would overheat over time, it would take 30 minutes or an hour to be hot.

1 - The game is crashing at least once or twice a day making me loose 2-3 tokens each time i'm starting an event race
2 - that not a real issue but, I haven't the 570 spider and the Vantage (i'm only playing since february) and I'm sure i won't unlock the senna
3 - It seems that using the DS during multi players races sent me to the Cheater Board and I'm now not scoring any club reputation points

I've been saying this for awhile, but i think the game crashes due to overheating. I know it sounds ridiculous since most high end games would overheat too, but asphalt 9 would overheat the console very badly in a couple of minutes and it gets to the point that the it feels like hot ice, the game would eventually crash and couldn't play the game until it cools off. Idk if its true but that happened to me twice from my experience...

The Switch is designed to run on the Sun, heating doesn't matter at all here. When reaching at peak temperature it will let you know otherwise it's okay. Back to the crashing issue here, it's because of the game itself. The new Switch (v2) is ways cooler than v1, it's still crashed.

My game always crashes at the same time: I first do the 1 ticket daily car loot, then 6 tickets for the amateur, expert, and advanced race. Then when I start the 3 ticket VFL/Cien/Rezvani/etc. race the game crashes and 3 tickets are gone. Happened 4 days in a row now

Is this a glitch on my client side or is someone hacking Switch (I heard switch was very safe). Regardlss I was prety much knocked out of the racec since they are too short to allow for a comeback.

I would prefer to not them materialize and hit me. This needs to be more conservative in both display and how it affects me as a recieving player. Maybe just let AI take over and smoothly blend back to the remote player's position when the connection is solid...or just keep influencing the AI without flicking all over the place and runing my race.

I'm having the same issue that @rotund trout just reported... It takes several minutes after I start the game for the information to update. As it is, the Club Leaderboard and MP leaderboard are still blank and I cannot see which of my club members are online. My internet is otherwise running fine, both on my Switch and my other devices.

Everyone in my club is reporting numerous problems that seem to be server related (events not available, etc.). MANY 'closed due to an error' crashes. 🙁
@dense harness I've seen that, but mostly in MP. It seems to me to be an issue of your game not displaying where the server thinks you are. To you it looks like you're in the middle of the ramp, but to the server, you hit the edge. What's worse is that there's no way to predict it, sometimes it does it and sometimes it's fine, so you can't compensate. You just crash and lose. 😡

I've done many races with it and it seems like 1/3 to 1/2 of the barrel ramps I take send the car into a veeerryyy slow barrel roll, so I land on my roof. Like, it happens every now and then with every car but this one specifically thats like once per race, costing me the win

The car has very poor acceleration, so it loses a lot more speed on ramps than most cars. Makes it tricky to drive.

For somoe reason I've had the camera change on me more today than before; maybe 4 times. It seems like the right joy-con can mess it up but not set it back?? This is absolutly horrible. Please get rid of this roght away. One of the cameras literally makes me feel motion sick so I have to change it while racing in mp which guarantees a loss.
Also, I get an insane amount of lag in the maps with the hurricane.

So I hit a fire hydrant in San Francisco and my car stopped instantly. Like 0 km/h stopped. The physics engine is being quite funcky these days.
I also came off the first ramp over the water in the H2 Speed car hunt doing 360s with the Viper ACR. When I landed, the car did half a spin then the front end lifted up and the car crashed.

You can also save several profiles for each controller you have (on top of the default one).

If you select 4 laps on a map in Quick Race, then switch to a 120s race. The 120s race will be 4 laps, after you finish one, the screen goes black. You can't see your car, and you get teleported to the start to restart the lap again. Please patch this.

This game has been disconnecting too much, every time I'm in an event or mp, a random disconnection occurs, and screws up everything, making me lose a ticket, 2, or 3, and a wasted fuel slot. 100% reproducible crash!!: This may be what is causing a LOT of other crashes (I hope the devs see this): If a controller disconnects at certain times it will crash the software and drop me at the Switch home screen. I find this happens 100% of the time during a race. I am able to trigger it with a 3rd party controller that drops connection when I unplug it while charging. I'm not sure how to force this using joycons but hopefully the devs can simulate this and try disconnecting controllers at different times.

Hi @covert crown, did you see my repro aboove? I find if the controller discoonnects at the right time it will cause a crash. I have a 3rd party controller that will disconnect if I unplug it's power cable and if I do that during a race I get a crash 100% of the time. I wonder if you have some code that can fail to get a connected controller when an event race starts; perhaps an async issue? e.g. it is all races but Events have a race condition that gets hit more often due to a longer load cycle for some reason? These are just guesses but if controller connectivity is an issue it should be possible to reproduce even if not 100% of the time.

Maybe I didn't understand well how it works, tought the team review the submit channel, and if approved it appears in the list, but if it disappeared from submit without appearing in list it has been discarded

no, submit channel gets cleared daily but list channel only gets suggestions added when gameloft staff like dora is online so you need to wait until monday to see your suggestion appearing in there

I have some controller input delay with the pro controller in handheld mode. When the joy cons are attached to the switch and I'm using a pro controller, I will oftenly get input delay. If I remove the joy cons from the switch and turn them off, I don't experience much input delay. This only applies to this game, not other games.
In docked mode, there is no delay at all.

@dense harness but-- no one with access to this Discord can help you, so your best bet would be to contact Customer Care & ask them if your age is triggering any age restrictions in the game based on your location & local laws or if it is in error & can be removed. If in error, CC will correct it. If it is an authorized restriction based on the laws in your country, CC should also advise you of that too & explain why.

The stability fix is not at all resolving asphalt crash.. It's even worst tahn before I think, I counted 3 crash si'ce the beginning of the event whe doing mp races then coming back to the events and trying to start one of the unleashed races 🙄😬

So many lost tickets today again because of crashing. If you wanna keep the tickets in the game because it exploits some weaker minded people into paying for more at least fix the crashing, or return the tickets if the event is not finished until you're able to fix it, or get rid of the ticket system until you're able to fix it.

@echo raft I think it also has something to with the division (players with the same rank doesn't mean they're from the same division), and maybe there are hidden indicators other that players ranks to compute points
